They have 20+ registers but they always have about 2 open! The self check out line is ridiculously long!

I visited the Target Superstore located at 3045 Silverlake Village St, Pearland, TX 77584 on Sunday March 3rd around 8:00PM. I live in the surrounding area, and frequently visit this location to handle many of my shopping needs, although the last few times I have been extremely disappointed in the upkeep and appearance of this particular location. This particular instance (March 3rd at 8:00PM) was the final straw in my tolerance and patience with this location. When I pulled in the parking lot, I was met with a sea of untamed baskets filling many of the open parking spaces. I was forced, along with all the other patrons, to park in the back of the lot due to the neglect of the baskets in the lot. As I walked to the front of the store, I was met with a disgusting view of overflowing trash cans and a littered sidewalk. This was the last time that I will shop at Target for the complete lack of effort to make a presentable shopping experience for the consumer. Just your regular super target store. nothing really fancy about it. you get in, get what you want and get it. I do prefer to go there over the Super Walmart across the street. Honestly, a little less ghetto, a lot cleaner and definitely not as crowded. I try to do my shopping on week days so i don't typically get around on the weekends, cause it really gets packed around that plaza and getting in and out of the plaza is a pain. all in all it's just Target. . read more

Incompetent people running the curbside delivery. I waited so long six cars pulled in after me and had come and gone. I said to the kid out there why am I waiting so long?? He looks in his basket and sure enough my order is in there. He looks in the basket and says oops. I forgot!! Then when I do get my bag, my order isn't correct. He has to go inside and look for my item. He finally comes out and gives me my item and a gift card for my troubles. Well, the gift card is empty! No money was loaded on it!!! Came here after a trip to the movies and bought milk and eggs and bread. It was all easy to locate and i even got a foundation that i was in severe need. Over all not too much dent in the wallet. Why anyone wanna shop at Walmart? Especially If there's a Target within your range. Almost every other Target is across the street at a lot of Walmarts! Has anyone noticed this as well? Target is like the much prettier and much more sought after step sister of Walmart. More people go to Walmart, though, because she's always open and cheaper. ;) ( did yall get that innuendo?) lol Target always has had good value, well designed products for your home. Most of the products on the shelves are house brands cleverly disguised as gourmet brands. They have some really good dried pasta that looks like the high-end dried pastas you'd find at Wholefoods or a Sprouts--at half the price. Really good pasta sauces and salsas in glass jars for half what you'd pay for the gourmet brands. Organic chips like blue corn and flax seed, chipotle flavored corn chips and kettle style potato chips in creative flavors like the big-name brands--on sale for 3 for $7! Frozen sweet corn and Poblano tamales that look really good and are cheap! I've only scratched the surface. I don't know how they do it for the price--actually, I do---volume, volume volume! They also have fresh dairy products at rock-bottom prices- I know it's just a store, but it actually makes you feel good to shop there, as silly as that sounds. Instead of having to shop at WalMart or a Fiesta because you're trying to save money or being downright poor, and being treated to dirty aisles, poorly treated employees and crappy merchandise. Let's face it I am a Target fan! But after today I'm sad to say I'm disappointed and outraged at their service. I come here because of the convenience I am usually here with my two girls 2yo and a 10month old and walk around target... as a parent I have to drop everything and take my daughter to the restroom I leave my shopping cart near the cash registers before checking out and in this instance I felt like I was being watched and observed way too close. Like if I was stealing! Let's just say that it was odd enough to have them open a register just for me and close it after checking my groceries... ridiculously disrespectful. I go for the calm uncrowded shopping experience but I can forget about this location, if you feel like being scrutinized and judged. Won't be coming back to this location at all! read more

Big shout out to Ryan G. Came in Saturday night and was interested in a,book shelf. Asked for help from a young lady and didn't get much of an answer. Then we got Ryan to help us and he was great. Usually a pretty good store to shop at. The grocery dept. is limited but it's layed out well and easy to shop in. The main problem is lack of checkers and especially "express checkers" for under 15 items or so. I was there last wekend and the 4 lines that were open were very long. Then the guy in front of me was buying for a business I think. He took an extra 5 minutes to check out as the lady typed in his info, asked him his phone number several tiems, etc. SO after at least 15 minutes I was finally getting checked out. I had given the cashier my $3.00 off coupon for Excedrin. She forgot to use it and then gave it back to me and said go to customer service and they will credit you back the coupon amount. After my 15 minute plus checkout I was already unhappy, then I get to Customer service (Not!!) and came in on the side and asked if they could quickly fix my coupon mistake by their cashier. The rude CS lady, say you have to go get in line. Now this is about a week after Christmas and there were 5 to 6 folks in line for CS. I told the lady that I had just waited over 15 minutes to check out and that I wasn't ready to be forced into another Long Wait at CS. I asked again very nicely to just give me my coupon money, it should not take but a minute right? Of couse shesaid NO and gave me a go to He_L look. I stood there and she just continued to ignore me. I went here today and also tried to use the restroom. When i went in it smelled horrible, I look down and on the floor there is poop on the baby diaper changer and on the floor. All the stalls were in need of a good cleaning (i understand nasty people dont flush but still). Flies were in the last stall. This isnt the first time I see something like this at this target but this was the worst. I refused to use this restroom and ran out of there and had to use hand sanitizer till i could get to sink to wash my hands! Beware the restrooms. I cant understand how employees still work here in these conditions. Zero Stars if it was my choice, clean your restrooms. read more

This Target location is Super Target, so you can get your groceries here as well. The store is kept clean and the employees are friendly and helpful. You will pay a little more here then you will on most of the same items at Walmart, but you get a overall better shopping experience. read more

This target is wonderful, besides the $1 section and the horrendous Starbucks that serves 20 ice chips and watered down drinks in cups.

I would like to share my Target Baby Registry Experience, in hopes of making others aware of these obvious downfalls. 1. When someone purchases from your registry, it doesn't always show as "Purchased". As a result you may receive more than one of the same item. When you go to the store to return the item, and you don't have a receipt, they automatically try to give you the no receipt price, which is 20% or more LESS THAN the price listed on the registry and than what your friend or family paid. If you point out that it's from your registry, they will match the price of 1 item, but not if you received more than 1. In my opinion this is the same as stealing. In addition, customer service can be extremely rude, making YOU feel like you did something wrong or are being cheap. 2. When you return an item from your registry in the above scenario, they don't give it to you in the form of a gift card, but only merchandise credit. The downside to this is, you can't use it online. So when your 9 months pregnant and have the option of getting your necessities shipped to your house for free, you have to get up and waddle your huge self to the store. Again is Target thinking about the mother to be, or themselves? 3. Registry gift, when you can actually find one, is worthless/mediocre. I had to go to multiple targets to get one, and was told they were in backorder 3-5 weeks. When I finally got one, it was mostly coupons. I rather have saved myself the drive and skipped it all together. 4. 15% off coupon for remaining items can only be used one time. They don't mention this anywhere and I found out when I tried to use the same promo code to buy some necessities that I hadn't received as gifts. But the code had been used the day before when I bought a crib mattress. If I had known, I would have saved the coupon for the very last minute. With Amazon, the 15% completion discount applies to each item on your registry. 5. Items constantly become unavailable or discontinued. This obviously was a headache because I had to constantly watch the registry to make sure items like car seats and other essentials didn't become unavailable overnight. At first I thought it was the manufacturer, but it turns out that other registries had the item, just not Target. 6. Target prices were usually 10-15% higher for the same item on other registries. This is obviously a no brainer. I registered at Target because one of my baby shower hosts told me that some guests like to go and shop of their gifts to bring to the shower. This is true to some level, but still not worth the headache that it gives you, the mother to be. read more

So we live in Pearland and my dad used to go to Walmart all the time which is the one right across the street from this Target. Anyways I got tired of Walmart because everyone that works there is a lazy fat a$$. Workers are also rude and slow. Anyways we were on a hurry last night because it was Christmas Eve and we needed wrapping paper and i was like NO!! And i told him let's go to Target and he was like alright chap. So we went to Target and I switched his mind to coming to Target now instead of Walmart. We thought it'd be busy but it really wasn't, we picked up wrapping paper and some tape to wrap up last minute present. Customer service was alright, it was decent, lines were super short because most of the people were on self check out. We took 15 minutes and if we would've gone to Walmart we would've taken almost an hour. Thank god we have a Super Target. 11/10 I.G.N a masterpiece read more

I've been going to this Target for several months now, and I have to say, the staff have always been more than exemplary! They always greet me with a "Good Morning" or "Good Evening" or "How can I help you today"! Rarely do I not see an employee in their department. The baristas at Starbucks know how to make a delicious frapp., then again it might depend who's working. Overall, I'm a happy "guest" as they eloquently put it! Will be shopping here more often. read more

This is one of my go to target locations. They are always clean, well stocked, and have helpful employees. The shelves are usually well organized no matter the time of day. They also have a great wine selection. well you know, as great as a target can get for wine. Minus one star because the restrooms usually need attention. They are not dirty but always out of paper supply. read more

Slowest check out service I've ever experienced. I swear this kid was going as slow as possible on purpose!! Seemed like they were out of stock on MANY grocery items. The shelves were a complete unorganized mess! Some meat and produce items were expired, gross and unacceptable! Definitely won't shop here again. read more

First, I LOVE Target. It's my happy place. This location is hit-or-miss lately. Most of the employees are professional and friendly but lately there have been a few hires who are just plain rude -unbelievably so. The last one I encountered didn't even acknowledge me for a good minute. When she finally decided to scan my items, she didn't bother to make eye contact or speak. I was floored. I couldn't even finish the purchase because she was so impolite. I just left my merchandise there and went straight to the manager. And as others have mentioned, what's with the parking lot? I just don't get it. It's an eye sore and my kids even ask why trash is all over the parking lot instead of in the trash cans. The management can and needs to do a better with that. read more

Who doesn't love target. I go here when I don't feel like fighting the millions of people across the street at walmart. Sure their prices are sometimes a little higher but that's something I'm willing to exchange for a nice place without hoodlums everywhere. This is the worst target I have been to. The store is always a complete mess. Clothes are on the floor shoes are thrown everywhere. Employees are always stocking the store but there is never anything in stock, or if it is in stock you can find it because its a mess. This store has significantly less product than the south Houston location and that one isn't even a super taget. There is never more than one checkout open which is unacceptable for such a large store. Often times they will only have self checkout open and not regular check out. I have been shopping at this target for years and over the past two years it has started to go downhill and over the last six months it has tanked completely. I don't know if management changed or they just got lazy, but it's terrible. I would rather drive to the South Houston location than shop here. read more

ACCUSE CUSTOMERS OF LYING AND CHEATING PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY AND REFUSING TO BE PROFESSIONAL. Target at Pearland has some lying/cheating "managers". Found a vacuum cleaner marked on sale for good price. Took it to register and it rang up almost $200 over what the tag on the shelf said. We went to speak with customer service about it - even took the so-called manager back to show her. MONA W. and CLINTON accused us 1st of lying about the what the advertisement said on the shelf then 2nd accused us of switching the tags. We told her to go watch the surveillance tapes to prove we weren't lying or switching crap and then she started back peddling. She kept saying "they" might be able to give 5% off. We had to force her to go get "they" and bring them out here. ACCUSE CUSTOMERS OF LYING. An hour later of showing and demanding they do the right thing FINALLY DID THE RIGHT THING. read more

I came there at customer service to pick up my online order for a crockpot. This girl in the customer service department sucks at doing her job. I was next in line n like she put my name down and there is 3 people behind me and she decides to help the person after me and have me wait when she didnt even call someone to get my crockpot. After she finished with them she went to go get it and when i told her there was a big ass dent on it because it looked like it was dropped a couple times, she made me wait again and decided to call for back up. The other person came still didnt help me but to bring down the line and then they called another person and she didnt know what to do so i just fuckin asked for a refund because i was waiting for at least 30 minutes and all the other customers were saying this aint the first time they fucked up like this and they have the worst customer service. If you guys are going to help a customer, finish them off first before going onto the next person. Thats how it works!!! I had a great deal on this crockpot and waiting because of bad customer service was not worth it. I should of just had it shipped to my house. I had her name and forgot it. OMG...this store is going downhill! First, you know it's gonna be a bad experience when there are no shopping carts in the stalls at the entrance. They were all still in the parking lot! This means they are either understaffed or have employees that don't feel like working. I tend to think the latter because of the conversations amongst the employees inside the store claiming Target should not expect one bit of picking up clothes. As I went shopping for a baby gift, I walked amongst piles of clothes on the floor! It was worst than a Burlington Coat Factory bit just a pair of socks better than Ross. I mean, come on Target management. ..where are you hiding? Get out there and show your staff how to take pride in their store! This falls short of the customer service expectations I hold. Out of all the employees seen or heard, I saw only one cashier that smiled and was truly radiating a pleasant customer experience. Yesterday I got in line at the checkout, and a few minutes later the cashier asked the customer in front of me if she'd like to apply for a Target card. She said she would, and then the cashier said to me ... with HER BACK TURNED TO ME ... that it would take a while. Naturally what she was about to assist the other customer with was going to take some time, but the way she conveyed the message to me was incredibly rude. From now on I'll avoid that store since my trying to buy things there is clearly an inconvenience to the staff. read more

This Target is such a disappointment. Just like every other mom in her late 20s, I love Target and I shop here often. However, this store is incredibly messy and disorganized and it's ALWAYS like this no matter the time or day. The lingerie section has random bras piled on top of each other on all racks, it's impossible to find a specific style or size. The shoe section is the same- shoes strewn about all over the shelves and floor where you can't even push the cart through. Good luck finding a specific size or style especially in the kids shoe section. There's often trashed Starbucks cups all over the shelves. End caps are crammed full of clearance items (which isn't a bad thing in and of itself), but it's random stuff literally thrown on the shelves that you can't even look through without stuff falling off. There are always multiple carts full of empty boxes down the home aisles which would make sense if employees were restocking...but not on a Tuesday at 2pm. The dressing room area is tiny- can't fit a shopping cart or stroller through. I wonder if is ADA compliant? Stuff is always piled up everywhere in there and there's hardly ever an attendant. It's just a constant mess and it's frustrating to shop here. I am only giving an extra star bc every time I've talked to management, they've been receptive. I really wish Target would re-evaluate management here. I drive 30 min out of my way to the Missouri City Target to avoid this Target when I have the time. read more

I have lived in Pearland so long that I can recall when this Target location was built. And it was a nice store many years ago. Recently, I noticed a real lack of customer service and respect for customers that should exist in all retail stores. Customers of color, particularly black and hispanic customers, are followed and watched suspiciously, as if suspected of shoplifting. And it's so noticeable that it's creepy! I know that theft must go on in a lot of retail stores, but they should not assume that all black/ Hispanic customers are up to no good. I shop here regularly, am a red card holder, and want to continue to see my community shine, but I will not be treated like a criminal. There are too many other Target stores in the surrounding area that does not treat customers of color this way. I will be shopping at those Target stores from now on. And I hope that the management of this store insist that his staff get some cultural training so that they will learn to treat ALL customers with respect and dignity. Blacks and Hispanics work hard and have plenty money to spend. But we don't have to spend it with you!!! read more

This Target is always my first option for grocery shopping and finding the latest toys/games for my kids. Always clean and most of the staff is pretty darn friendly. There is a new kid working the registers, he's kinda rude and just tosses the groceries carelessly into the bags. I was having a good day, so I didn't say anything. I've lived in Pearland for about 12 years now and originally, I loved this Target and shopped there all the time. The cashiers used to joke with me that I spent as much time there as they did, not so much any more. On a regular basis now you can see tons of trash blowing all over the parking lot right in front of the store because no one ever seems to empty the trash bins outside the store. This past Saturday, I was in the store after shopping at other stores in the shopping center and I was shocked. In the ladies department, there were clothes thrown all over the floor everywhere, that added to the mess outside, has me thinking I'd rather drive to Missouri City or Sugar Land if I want to shop at a Target. Surely the manager must know that there is always trash blowing around the parking lot (and it's not in front of the other stores) and he/she doesn't care. I still love Target, just not this one and I know the neighborhood association directly behind it has complained as well, either they need more help or better management. read more
