Had a not so quick shopping trip to Target today. I always end up spending hours there and can never leave with only one thing! They had a great selection of flowers for Mother's Day tomorrow. I ended up picking up a beautiful bouquet for my Grandma. This location also has a great Starbucks. We always stop in and grab a drink for our shopping trip. This is my local target and as an ex-employee of another target, I consider myself a Target connoisseur whenever I go to a target. As with any target, you come for a few grocery items and leave with a shpping cart full of stuff. They are generally well stocked in every area and pretty tidy. Workers there are nice and there are usually many lanes open and 8 self checkouts - this always leads to an easy and quick checkout. The starbucks there is quite good too. Not the best starbucks I've ever been too, but they make a good cup of coffee for my Target trips. read more

Looks nicer and more updated than CI but it didn't disappoint me. First time here and immediately I felt like I was at the one in CI as I was greeted by the fire lane parking idiots. As usual come here to pick up one thing, and leave with a full shopping cart! Pretty large store and good layout at this Target location. Plenty of checkout lines. Nice people working here. The other day I left my wallet in a cart in the parking lot at this Target. I left the store and realized upon arriving home (15min later) what had happened. I immediately called Guest Services and after about 15 minutes of being disconnected repeatedly, I was finally able to speak with someone. I explained the situation, told her exactly where the cart was, and what my wallet looked like. She assured me that no one had turned it in. I requested that someone check outside, since my cart was the only one in the cart return when I left and I was positive that's where I had left the wallet. She called out to someone, told me that he checked, and there was no wallet. I asked her to take my phone number and call me if someone turned it in and she replied with, "We'll just mail it to you." Again, I asked for a phone call if my wallet was located. She said, "Fine, what's you're name?" After hanging up, something felt wrong about the conversation. I packed up my newborn, got in the car, and returned to Target, where I found my wallet sitting in the cart, right where I had left it, and in the exact location that I was told the cart attendant had checked. My wallet was soaked from the rain, indicating that the cart had not been moved/checked. I always assumed that the role of Guest Services was to provide help and assistance to Target customers. Not only did this employee (and potentially the cart attendant) blatantly lie to me, but they did a complete disservice to a new mom who was just looking for a little help. read more

This is my local Target that I always go to when I need to pick up something quick, Target basically always has what I am looking for! I love the clearance section in Target, they normally have pretty good things hiding away if you take the time to search for it. This Target is very basic, unfortunately whenever I go here it seems to be pretty messy no matter what time of day that I go. The employees are pretty nice though and have a solid knowledge of where the products are in the store. Definitely go here if you are trying to find pretty much anything! read more

Who doesn't love Target? And this one has a food section. I know I know, there is a Stop and Shop literally across the street. However, Target's pricing is actually cheaper. For example: Greek yogurts (I am on a huge Greek yogurt kick...and unfortunately this type of yogurt is a bit pricier than the norm) such as Fage is considerably cheaper. They also have those monstrous huge Fage tubs of plain Greek yogurt available (think Costco big) for those who eat and cook with it. I sound a little bit like a crazy yogurt person....so for those who hate yogurt and are gagging now...please note all the snacks are cheaper too (e.g. potato chips). There are usually a lot of lines open so check-out is pretty speedy. read more

Starbucks employees were very rude. I asked if I could just get a Starbucks cake pop for my daughters birthday at 8:01pm and they were extremely rude stating they were closed at 8:00pm. I didn't understand the attitude because I just asked for something so simple, the register was not even closed and the 2 employees working did not hesitate to not work with the costumers!! I will not be going to this Starbucks again target managers should really talk to there employees about manners and tone of voice. read more

Your standard Target store. I was not happy with the produce section (Leaving out wrinkled peppers? Disgusting!). However, this location itself was okay. I love this Target. As usual with any target trip, you come in for one thing and leave with an entire basket full of stuff!! This location has a great layout and always stocked on inventory. There's always help out on the floor with plenty of employees that are friendly and helpful. They recently installed an area for self checkout with about 6 machines. I found this cuts down on the long lines. There's also a small Starbucks inside this target with some tables and chairs to either prep yourself for a shopping extravaganza or to give yourself some caffeine after going up and down all the aisles :) read more

I called in my order as I have been doing for the past year. Two items were left out of my order today when I called the store the girls said they could not credit it and if I wanted it I had to come into the store and pick it up. The whole reason for my drive up as I did not want to come into the store. They knew that they left something out but this was the only way to retrieve it. Guess I'm out that money. New fresh produce section but this review is not about that. Today I came home to find a grocery bag missing. Double checked the receipt and I did pay for the items. Drove back, showed my receipt, and get this, a security guy reviewed tapes and saw that the lady ahead of me accidentally picked up one of my bags. I made a quick stop at Target earlier this evening. I only had one item on my shopping list, a bottle of Melatonin. I haven't been sleeping well lately. I've heard great things about Melatonin so I thought I'd give it a try. I intended to purchase it on Amazon but it turns out its an "Add On Item" on Amazon and I didn't want to buy more stuff for no reason so off to Target for a price match. I checked on Target's website to make sure the Setauket store had the brand/size I wanted before heading over. When I got to the store it was easy to find, exactly where it should be. I took my bottle to the young man at the customer service counter and showed him Amazon's lower price on my phone. He said he had to double check on his tablet and to my surprise he found it at an even lower price, which he gave me. What??? He then proceeded to tell that his brother is a doctor and that he recommends Melatonin. It works really well. I guess I will find out this evening, two days sooner than if I purchased it online. I appreciated the tip. My customer service experience was top notch. I always find the Target employees at this location to be helpful but today's experience was ABOVE AND BEYOND. read more

It's a shame that I have to give them this review cause Target itself it's a great company but their employees ( not all) but a vast majority don't know what they are doing and will point you in the wrong direction on a wild goose chase trying to find things. Now for the Starbucks portion of this store gets one saw me. Said nothing while helping another customer. As soon as she gave the other customers her drink she nastily said they were closed but my question is why didn't she tell me for the few minutes I was standing there and she was staring at me. Please take away this star. It is because I had not shopped here regularly, however have done so a hand full of times. One time I shopped here prior to a vacation in the Carribbean. While away, I was embarrassed that my bank card was cancelled. The bank did this because there was a breach in security at Target, and my security was compromised. Since I was out of the country, I had no idea this was going on. I was embarrassed to use the card and it was rejected. Ok, so all was straightened out when I got home and a new card was reissued. It kind of soured my shopping there. As a couple of years passed, I was again notified the security of my card was breached. I had seen this on television and took action in having my card reissued. I have decided not to shop at any Target again, as apparently someone has targeted this store, and I will not fall victim, or be inconvenienced again. read more

What happened to the store it's starting to get very dumpy looking ... floors a wreck garbage everywhere it looks like the Centereach Walmart. DVDs priced higher than the norm and good general selection overall but it is about 10 to 15% higher than Walmart. I used to forgo the price because it's a nicer store but it's not turning out that way anymore. read more

To the Landlord. As a frequent customer and working in the insurance industry, your parking lot is a lawsuit waiting to happen. In particular, on the pharmacy side you have numerous holes as well as a large 3ft crater. Their also is a pot hole when you drive in on the side. We get one snow fall and the holes get covered someone wont see them causing damage or an injury. I highly suggest someone walks around and takes notice ASAP. read more

I really enjoyed our shopping experience. The staff really are there to help. I asked a young man if he could find a lamp in the back for me and he did. I learned a lot about different LED lightbulbs from another young man. I was also assisted by a man named Irwin. What a great help he was. Target really does hire great associates. We were impressed with the clothing lines and the Magnolia home items. I purchased two lamps, a Bissell carpet cleaner machine, ten LED bulbs, a chair and many food items. I even bought a huge frozen turkey for a great family meal. The store is very clean and well organized. The lighting is perfect. No annoying music, either. I think this is my new favorite store. read more

I love this Target! There was a promotion on a product that I wanted for my son, so I went to this target and asked an employee who was stacking shelves if they had any of the product. He searched the shelves for me, then offered to go into the back to look-which I felt bad to have him do because he was probably more busy than I was that day! But off he went. Turns out he not only looked for that product in the back, but he also went to the other side of the store to look in another department! I was so impressed with this guy and his service. Great job! Thank you! ---- But that's not all-I also had an employee, in the make up department, stop and ask me if I wanted any help with any of the new products. I was impressed! She told me about the line of make up and cleansers that are actually all-natural-I didn't know that! So that's a pretty good chance I'm going back and getting something from there in the future. read more

I don't even think they deserve 1 star. I visited the store in South Setauket, NY 2/10 around 4pm. I saw a nightstand thank I really liked but couldn't reach and wanted to make sure the price was right. I walked around for 15 minutes looking for an employee. I saw two women and asked for their help, they cut me off and went "we don't do that let me call someone". So when I saw an employee that looked like he could help me I asked him if the $39.99 under it was right cause that's pretty cheap, so he looked and said "yea I guess its on clearance" which makes sense because the one next to it also had $39.99 under it and it was broken. I also got the kid's name, Chris, because I wanted to tell a manager how nice he was to help me after I just dealt with those rude women that worked there. So I get him to put it in my cart for me then i see a duvet cover for $12.99 on clearance so i grab it. I walk around and get some other things. When I go to check out, the Nightstand rings up $79.99. I said that was wrong and told them Chris told me it was $39.99 when I asked him to check, so they went "well its not". And the Duvet cover rang up $59.99 and Nicolas, the front end manager said "I guess someone peeled the sticker off another one and put it on that one". So I showed Nicolas, where I got the nightstand(the broken one was still there) and Nicolas said that's for a different item and he can give me 10% off but can't give it to me at $39.99 because they would go out of business if they did that and Nicolas kept telling me all the great things Target does and how they're going to terminate Chris if its true and how he's just a Kid that wanted to get out at 5pm. Also he was telling me how they need to make money and if they gave it to me at that price they would end up like Caldor, ect. All this happened at the register, in front of other customers, where a line was forming because the cashier couldn't ring anyone else up. While we were waiting for the store manager, Tim, Nicolas kept telling me he can't deal with this shit and he took an $8,000 pay cut to not deal with this crap. When Tim showed up he just told me the same things that Nicolas told me and made me feel like I was in the wrong for saying something. Throughout this experience I felt like they thought I was lying about where I got the nightstand and the same with the Duvet. I feel like if I was someone in my 30s or 40s things would have been completely different. I normally spend at least $5000 a year at Target because I've read about how great they treat their employees and I know about all the good they do for schools and communities, but if I'm going to be treated like this I think I'll start shopping at WalMart. Let me add, I've contacted Target corporate by both phone and email and have gotten nothing back, not even an email. read more
