As with everything in LA, the parking was expensive so I couldn't stay long ($5/hour right outside the store), but the trip was definitely worth it. And Raphael cold not have been kinder. Rafael seemed very nice and friendly, i am not frequent trim buyer so wasn't really aware on how much they would normally cost. Conveniently there were no price tags anywhere and Rafael said he just remembers the price. I remember him telling me prices, I was surprised it was $12-$14/yard for simple trims, but again I never researched trim prices so I just paid and left. When I came home and checked their website I saw that he charged me double price for each trim. Left $60 there for 5 yards of trim. Very disappointing experience. read more

I was sad they didn't have a huge selection of ribbon I could use as an orphey (the trim on a liturgical vestment) but they had one pattern in three colors so I could make it work. I love going up to the fabric district, but you often have to put up with a lot of less than stellar customer service and tough personalities. Rafael at Target Trim is the absolute opposite of that - he is incredibly personable, so helpful, and fun to talk to. The prices at Target Trim are another huge plus and their inventory is expansive. They have so many options for thread colors and a huge variety of appliques. I hope to return soon when I have more time to check out their entire stock - I needed some embroidery thread and I was on a bit of a time crunch so I didn't spend too much time there, but I'm looking forward to my next visit! read more
