I think I understand why Target as a corporation is doing so poorly. They are terrible at customer service, and more importantly - they are irrelevant. My frustration started with prices. When did a pair of sweat pants cost $45 - at Target? Everything is over priced with very little value. Lastly when I did go to customer service today to exchange something of equal value - I asked if it's possible to just pay for the 3 other things I had in my cart to make it easier. We were originally on a mission to find a CVS store. Turns out that CVS operates a pharmacy counter inside this Target. So, we opted to do some shopping at Target. I don't normally shop at Target so I don't have a basis for comparison but it seemed that this Target was not overly well stocked. I went in looking for Calamine lotion but was out of stock, all they had was a spray version. As we walked through the store, we noticed a lot of empty shelves and a quite a few products that were out of stock. In the future, I'll look for a Walgreens location - not a CVS inside a Target. read more

Always with the lines! They never have enough people working checkout but have twenty plus checkout lanes and two self checkout stations. Otherwise this is a fairly good Target. I'm updating my previous (short) review from six years ago. Everything in that still stands. Just wanted to update my "rating" and put out a real review. You'll find the Target food court inside in addition to a Starbucks. A large deli and bakery section fleshes out the hot and fresh food offerings. Employees are helpful if you cannot find a product. They're also great at keeping the aisles full and clean. Nothing worse than visiting a store and it looks like a bomb went off in the aisles. A Target is a Target though. All of them have produce and frozen foods now. Formerly known as a P fresh store for employees. Or even a Super Target in the nineties. This store is spaced out well and does a great job displaying merchandise. You can reliably park very close to the entrance which is a huge plus over other Target locations in the area. The deli department, I came here every week and most of the time no one is at the counter . To make it worse the two ladies while they're slicing my meat, they don't stop talking to each other. They spend the whole time making fun of other employees and gossiping right in front of me. Never thought I'd give Target a 2/5 star review but also a Super Target at that. I've never been in a Super Target before and so I was really excited when my friend had to grab something! I expected more to say the least. There weren't that many options for drinks and other things. It is getting weird to see fewer and fewer Target stores still retain the old '00s aesthetics. But if you're curious of how one used to look, this is at least a safe space to check it out. The store is pretty empty at times, though. Especially their gaming department. You can go for a long time not seeing even a more popular game get replentished. The employment here is at least friendly, assisting to find out if things are still tucked away in the back in case anyone is looking for a rather particular item. Though, they do have a homeless loitering problem. They often approach you as you ebter and exit the store, actibg nice til you refuse assistence. After that, they get agressive, violent even. They are such a problem that they have upgraded their trash cans to tamper proof ones. read more

Primitive incompetent customer service! Came into to return an item - had an email copy of the receipt but the idiot sales girl said there needed to be a barcode! The barcode is literally linked to an order number which is listed on the receipt which is on my email! Nope idiot girl says barcode because she doenst know any other way! The glee she had in her voice when she said if there's no barcode to your order I can't do your return was insane! She literally had no desire to help our customers - just stand there and exist! So basically a robot can do her job! A robot should do her job if the only thing she has to do is scan a barcode! This place needs to train their staff better and stop wasting peoples time! Similar to the other complaints about this store - employees seem to not give two shits about customer service! Are they seriously wondering why e-commerce is taking over?! Wasted 4 hours of my afternoon trying to get an interview, long story short the location is not hiring for any positions which is funny because they still have a lot of listings on indeed. It's pretty disappointing when your employees knew this info for 3-4 hours but decided not to say anything until they were getting ready to go home. I came to this store had to use the restroom really bad. When I went into the only restroom there was one stall was out of order and the other one was occupied. So I did about 30 minutes of shopping and returned to use the restroom. The only stall was still occupied and by the same person, I could tell by the shoes. So I left and finished my shopping. After paying I tried to use the restroom one last time and it was still occupied. At this point the person in the stall had been in there for close to a hour. So I stood outside of the stall door and waited for him to come out. It was this target employee at customer service. This kid literally got paid for a full hour of work to take a poop! The service here is AWFUL! I'm not sure who the manager on duty was on October 11 between 5:30 and 7 pm but I'd cut em loose. We came in knowing exactly what tv we wanted to buy - waited 40 mins for one person to come back from their lunch?? Anyone could've went to the back to help us. The guy was nice enough but not great. He finally went to the back to get the damn thing - we waited at the desk another 20 minutes before finally walking out. To note: 2 other customers left while waiting for electronics. I've waited months to leave this review, but this is ridiculous. Every time I come to this store there are maybe two registers open. You can't check out in self checkout with alcohol so you get stuck waiting 10-15 minutes for someone with a full cart to check out. Don't understand why there are never even enough registers open or why they can't just let you check out with alcohol at self checkout. Staff is usually very friendly and the store is clean, but the checkout is always severely understaffed. There are also never any baskets available here. Only carts. Why have 3 baskets at the front to store them when there aren't even any available? read more

Always clean and well-lit! Came in to buy my husband Metro Exodus on XboxOne, we called ahead to ensure they had a copy. I arrived at the electronics counter and both gentlemen working were incredibly nice and helpful. The younger of the two took me to the game, unlocked it and checked it out for me. Stopped by to purchase a DVD set that was advertised on Target.com as being available here at the Wheatridge store. My guy and I were shopping out that way so why not pick it up? I looked all over and did not spy with my tiny little eyes this DVD set that At the customer service area I spoke to the manager who was kind enough to see if he could locate the inventory in his store. Manager is rude. Their policy for exchanges is terrible. We received a giant toy truck for my son's birthday. Like most birthday presents, it did not come with a gift receipt, and Target would not exchange it for any funds not even a one dollar gift card. They told me to take it to Goodwill. The staff is always really nice and i fill at the pharmacy a lot...So i am in here quite a bit..My favorite is finding clearence items...You have to dig but its worth it..I found some super cute leggings just yesterday ! It is weird to say that I'm a connoisseur of Target's? If you relate to that, let's be friends. Look. I love Target. I get Target, Target gets me. We're pals. I visit a lot of Target locations. This Target is like... my 3rd favorite in the metro area. It's pretty good, not bad, not great. I feel like they have more stock than many Targets and are not as picked over as some of the more central ones. However I have noticed that they don't get some of the better merchandise. I went in this week and didn't see anything from the new Magnolia collab line. And when I was there on a weekday, the staff setting up the Christmas section were having some pretty inappropriate conversations as I was wandering through. The grocery section isn't too bad, although the produce is super hit or miss. Pick up more of those boutique Target lines and I will become more loyal to this location! read more

So while in Target grocery last month, I asked the nearby dairy dept manager, to lookup where the eggs from newly branded 'Good and Gather' were coming from. She confidently answered, 'Sure!' (Certainly she'd done that a million times before.) But her cheery face increasingly darkened, when entry after entry from the package -- every one she input into the computer on her hip -- showed no hints at origin whatsoever. The new packaging/brand, which utterly skips any origin or plant ID, left us both despondent & disconnected. NOT HANDICAPPED FRIENDLY. As a rule, I like this store and today was no exception "in the beginning". But the EVC cart I was in was dying, even though it indicator said almost full. I pulled into the other end of the store and got a new one and asking a target employee to please plug my used one in so it was available for next customer. I got a vacant look...like "uh huh, sure" This new one dies also after 5 minutes even though the indicator said it was charged. An awesome lady manager helped me by going to the other end of the store and getting yet another (Third) one and only one left. It was also fully charged but lasted about 10 minutes and it started beeping too. I was near another Target employee and explained to him my dilemma and asked him to walk me to the register to be certain I made it. Nothing brings more fear into a crippled persons heart as much as being stranded after so much effort was involved in getting there. He did and as we were walking said he was putting a work order in as we walked. I said this is the second time I have been there that this happened to me. I asked if talking to the site manager would make a difference. He said no...he put the order in. Then he suggested that I order on line. Clearly words spoken be someone who can go anywhere anytime. This trip as usual, was my outing... he was a numb brain who cannot imagine what it is like not to walk. read more

I bought a lego set from a target and it was not that you could build more than one Version of a Lego thing. But well we were building it we ran out of pieces when you should be able to build more than one of the little figures. I am very mad and I do not ever want to buy a Lego set from target ever again. I advise that you don't buy the Lego movie two Lego sets from Target because there might be missing pieces in it. We bought two lego sets and built the other one first and it was fine but in the middle of it we ran into problems. This set was very frustrating and even made my little cousin cry. I think this store hired the rudest cashier they could possibly find to run their self checkout. Got cut in line when I went to line up at self checkout and then everyone lined up behind the person who decided to start their own line and cut me off and then I had to go to the back of the line and then when I was 1 person from being next, because the woman running self checkouts was lazy she with no knowledge of the situation claimed the other self checkout to be empty and told us to go there. When I got there that line was even longer and when I came back she would not let me return to my place in line but made me go to the back, ignored me when I told her that the line on the other end was actually longer and it was her fault I got out of line because she chose to lie by claiming to know something she absolutely didn't. Then when I went to put my cart up to leave this woman decided to get one more jab at me by shoving a cart in my way as I try to put my cart back. The front end supervisor Micheal is literally the worst person I have ever encountered in a Target store. The produce department has had issues with pricing on discounted items a few times. I don't like to pay more than the price on the shelf. I even had a picture of the the tomatoes in their place with the price! (Because I was so surprised with the deal) I showed it to him when they rang up wrong. He looked at and said he doesn't understand what I'm showing him. It was a picture of tomatoes and the price? Went there to get my Rx from CVS. Used to be a great store. Now it's surrounded by homeless who approach you on entry and exit. I get the struggle but it makes my family nervous. This is my favorite Tar-jhay as well. No matter what time or season you go, it's always deserted! Even during Christmas season, when any other Target is a total zoo with a horrific parking lot, this one isn't. Sure, it gets busier than normal, but nothing compared to others (the hellacious Target off Colorado Blvd comes to mind). Of course it still has all the Target-y items, and I wish Super Target would some day come up with a meats counter. But no complaints. The only thing I've ever gotten of their store-brand "Archer Farms" that I haven't loved was their Italian sausage, which was rancid and so horrible I threw it (and the sauce I put it in) out. read more

Just came in to do a return/exchange on an item I purchased in the wrong size. They didn't have my size in store so I asked about doing a return and online purchase. Morgan was the associate at the customer help desk and she was awesome at assisting me while also helping to train a new associate on other tasks at the same time. I've been in customer service my whole career, and I can say the employees at this target always go above and beyond. They're kind, patient, and helpful, even when customers aren't so nice to them.
