World Market has fallen. I'm tired of going in for a food I like that I've purchased there before only to find it isn't carried anymore. It's annoying. Then, yesterday I placed an online order. There were supposedly only two of an item left that I wanted two of. I suspected that might happen and I was prepared to be told they didn't have them. I was right, but I was never told. My Mom, the person who picked the items up for me, was the one to tell me. As if that wasn't annoying enough, I can't figure out why I'm still being charged for those items. So, I call. "Well", she says, "They're on back order and we should be getting them tomorrow." Like I'm going to ask my Mom to go out of her way to go get them. "Well", she says, "We can cancel them." Yes! Why was I not told? "Well", she says, "Because it's all digitized." Why did I not get a receipt? "Well", she says, "because the pick up doesn't come with a receipt." Please, give me more excuses as to why YOU couldn't do the job you are paid to do! I'd also like to know why my order said it was ready for pickup when it wasn't. Why wasn't I called? It would have been really simple to call me and say, "Two of the items you ordered should be on the truck tomorrow. Would you like to wait for them?" My answer would have been, "Thank you so much for calling me! Yes! We can wait to pick up the rest of the order!" read more

My go to World Market! All the stuff I've ever gotten from here has been high quality and great! The staff is also always friendly and helpful. I always go in expecting to grab just one or two items and then in the end of the trip I'm always cursing myself for not grabbing a basket. Sometimes a brand should just stand behind their products because it's the right thing to do. Sure this product only cost $5.99 each but in a world where we're getting nickeled and dimed/ ripped off on seemingly every dollar it's just makes sense to apply a little care towards repeat customers. This store was not having it. A flagship product line and they wouldn't give store credit. It's reasonable to assume that if you buy silverware it's not gonna rust after the first use. Come on corporate America -corporate greed has run its course. The next generation isn't going to return the product. They're just not gonna even buy from greedy companies to begin with. read more

This location is decent though I prefer the Cherry Creek one by far, which is way larger and I think the staff there are more informed since that one is also a warehouse. But this is still my go-to since live in the area. It would be nice if they sold alcohol though. read more

Although I have shopped here several times in the past five years, I have never posted a review. It's located near Bed Bath and Beyond, Marshall's, Barnes and Noble, Whole Foods, Colorado Mills and many restaurants. Their selection of unique foods is my personal draw, however, I have purchased other items here including a wine rack and a few kitchen items. Sometimes, the store is too crowded with items and customers, however, I manage to find what I'm looking for. Occasionally, I'll receive a text message entitling me to a "free-be" or a discount. Seriously my favorite world market ever! Not because off the stuff, but the people. I'm 7.5 months pregnant and bought a bunch of heavy furniture, near closing..the staff helped me figure out my issues with the discount I was trying to pull up on my phone, brought all my stuff out front while I pulled up my car, and packed it in my trunk for me! They helped right as the store was closing and I definitely stayed past closing, but they never rushed me or were impatient or unkind. It's hard to run into people like this these days...their kindness made my day. read more

TL;DR: overpriced fast fashion Cost Plus is ok, it depends what you're looking for but be prepared to pay a pretty penny for it. Also, if you order something online and pay shipping, if you return it they will not refund shipping- caveat emptor indeed! I've been going to World Markets for years, and I've noticed the prices keep going up but don't expect quality. Think of it as a more edgy and boho HomeGoods. These are essentially the fast fashion of furniture and decor stores similar to H&M, Zara, and other places that sell more fad items. When I go to World Market I know I need extra time. Why? Because a lot of their merchandise is damaged. I have a pair of earrings from there that I adore, but I needed about 10 minutes to go through all of choices for the pair I wanted as many were bent. Look over furniture and art items carefully as many are scratched and chipped. I purchased an entryway table that was only available online and was extremely grateful that it didn't arrived damaged. However, I will unlikely purchase online again. I ordered a fall decor item online and it arrived damaged- not because the box or the shipper/delivery service dropped it, but the piece was manufactured wrong. The item was not screwed together properly because the cross threads were messed up. There was no way to fix it and I brought it to this store to return. The woman who helped me was very polite. I told her it was damaged and she said that I could only be refunded for the item not the shipping. I know customers sometimes take advantage of store's return policies but this item was manufactured incorrectly in part because it was a cheap metal. It was explained to me that World Market does not refund shipping under any circumstance even though this was an item that never should have been sent out to anyone- why should a customer be penalized for faulty products? IMO quality control is an issue both at their online shipping warehouses and stores. Shop carefully fellow yelpers! read more

I went there in December during Covid times and had the worst experience. I guess I was hoping that with state regulations, the store would be in compliance. It was crowded and customers did not keep their social distance, but partially because the aisles did not allow for decent flow. One customer there was not wearing a mask, and a few others did not have the mask covering their face. In line, people were not 6 feet apart, maybe 2 feet at best. I am upset with myself for staying there longer than I should have, even thought I left the line without purchasing what I came in for. The store should not be open at this time if they can't or will not enforce regulations during these times. read more

5 stars for customer service! This place always has cool stuff & I finally went July 2nd for a big purchase there, got an amazing convertible desk & a bunch of gifts for a beach bachelorette weekend. I asked about the desk & the gentlemen said it would be waiting in the front for me. The bald gentlemen with the beard was so nice & patient waiting for me to decide on adding the last few items to my tab & double checking my receipt. When he rang me up we had pleasant small talk. The guys loaded the desk in my car for me with ease. The next day I realized I never got a chance to scan my coupon which was the whole reason I went to shop there. I went back & found the same gentlemen whom rang me out the night before working the register again. He remembered & said it was no problem to adjust it without even bringing my stuff in. He had Katarina assist me with the coupon refund. She also was great with customer service!! So patient & willing to help me. While she was keying my long receipt I managed to find $35 worth of extra items I desired so added those on. I will definitely be back to buy some more unique furniture pieces when I move & need to furnish my home. Thank you! read more

While out running errands last week, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Cost Plus had opened a location here in Lakewood. I made it a point to stop by the next day and remembered how much I love Cost Plus. The selection and service in this store was good. It's your typical Cost Plus, with a wide variety of merchandise. I was however slightly disappointed to see that some of their prices have increased considerably since my last visit. I always considered them reasonably priced, but their artwork, and pictures frames, along with their bathroom decor and candles all seem to have gotten way more expensive. I was surprised at their reasonably priced jewelry selection, and next time I'm in the market for some new earrings or a scarf, I will remember to return. read more

F*cking love this place, always have. I recently bought a big rug from them which I love. The customer service is friendly and genuine. I generally come in for smaller purchases from their specialty food department and come away very happy. Their coffee loyalty program is nice, rewarding you for staying full off caffeine is effective. Cost Plus is friggin' awesome! I love the knick knacks here! Personally I like the random food items they have here. For example the marzipan is delicious! The selection of the hot sauce is superb! They even sell the Ghost Pepper hot sauce! I love to drop by here to peruse the selection. I just wish they had more employees to help customers out. read more

I like this chain but this location is has terrible service and rude employees. Just today it took me forever to just get a simple return for store credit, because I planned to pick up a couple of things. Right when I walked in 2 employees greeted me only to immediately snub me when I said I needed to to an exchange. The same 2 employees continued to ignore me while I stood in line for about 10 minutes (with about 8 people behind me) at the 1 open check out stand. When I finally got some "help" the employee did nothing to show he cared about my business. He was difficult and kept telling me he couldn't just return it. In the end I finally grew so frustrated that I simply grabbed a gift card for my return amount and left without buying the things I went for. TERRIBLE way to do business. Stay away. read more
