This is a busy location. Then again it's right off the Parkway and 95. On a plus note they have a lot. This is one gigantic store. There are some good deals in electronics. Other than that, I can recommend them for laundry detergent. Employees are plentiful, and all met have been courteous. I do admire the company for bringing back lots of vinyl records. Still there's just this feeling "it's another Target." Maybe it's I prefer outdoor fun more than shopping. If you need home supplies, they should have it here. read more

I'm coming out of Yelp retirement just to share what an awful experience I had today with one of the managers there named Angela. She refused my Target Circle coupon that wasn't ringing up because as a manager she some how doesn't understand how Target coupons work. The coupon said "valid for in-store, pickup, or same day delivery only" and Angela told me that the coupon wasn't valid in-store and that it was only valid for in-store pickup, meaning just picking up at store. She apparently doesn't understand what a comma means. The coupon is very clear and even after explaining this to her she got an attitude and basically said she'd honor the coupon even though I'm wrong and accused me of being difficult. This was in front of other customers while holding up a line. It was very embarrassing knowing that I was right, yet I was being made to feel like some difficult "Karen." I told her to forget it and to just void the item and that I'd call corporate. She just said okay and to go ahead and call corporate. I did call corporate and they confirmed I was right about the coupon and apologized for Angela's behavior. They also informed me that they would make sure she was trained on how their coupons work. On my way out of Target after being refused my coupon, I asked this really sweet young girl doing drive up orders what my coupon meant and even she understood what it meant. What a difference a make over can do!!! This location looks like a brand new fancy shmancy Target, now that all the renovations are done. Its unlike any other location I have been to recently even the remodeled ones. The staff seems to digging the new look as well. Everyone was speaking, smiling and even offer their assistance as you make your way through the store. Like that old saying, you feel your best when you look your best and they are showing off!!! The beauty area looks like a high end sister of Sephora or the little cousin of Ulta as everything is laid out, easy to find and well maintained. Everything has a place and everything was in its place. Call me crazy, but it seems as everything is a lot easier to find. Which means you also find even more stuff you did not need but can justify its need in your head as you move within the store. As if that is not enough, they are even carrying brands they did not carry before. New look, who dis? The grocery section might even fool you into thinking you are in a real full fledged grocery store! More selection, more brands and everything is so much easier to find. I think the biggest eye opener is the clothing sections for women, men and the kiddos. The days if everything being piled up on top of everything else is long gone. You can actually see all the merchandise without having to dig thru a rack or do a double take. The addition of extra manneqiuns showing off the latest styles is an added touch too. For those of you who like Umbro, they also now carry their clothing line for kids. I think the reason am so shocked and totally here for this location is because out of the two location in the area, this one was a disaster for a long time. This Target hits on all cylinders with the exception of their shoe department. I used to work for Target, so I know this is not an acceptable standard. I don't understand why this department continues to be neglected. Every other area of the store is well maintained. It would be one thing if this was a one time occurrence or if they had a rough weekend, but that is not the case. It is always like this. Basically I like this store. Customer service was great. It is clean. We had a return to make from our baby registry and the sales associate was quick and efficient. However my main complaint with the store is literally none of the store signs are correct. We were in the Halloween candy aisle and chose candy based on the signs. None of the prices were correct. That is very frustrating. They should try to do a better job putting up sales signs. read more

This is one of the most unorganized, dirty, cluttered, and unkempt location I have seen in Virginia. It's almost 10 am and carts are filled, shelves unorganized and nothing has been put back for multiple days. Shelves are dusty, floors dirty and the staff at multiple points throughout the store are socializing in groups of 2-4 on the clock getting absolutely nothing done to improve overall appearance of store or restock/organize shelves. It was disgusting in there and not the standard of any target I have ever been in. This place looked worse than an unorganized Walmart and that's saying a lot. Needs new management or someone from corporate to come out and hold staff and leadership accountable for this mess. read more

This location is super convenient for me since I am staying right across the street at the Marriott. I didn't shop on the other side so I can't speak to anything but the grocery side. The parking lot had a lot of trash flying around which was definitely a turn off. Inside was clean but a lot of the shelves were empty. They had very little fresh fruit and veggie options which was a huge downside for me. The plus side is they did have a good amount of nonmeat options in the frozen food isle. There was only 1 register open and the self check out lane had 3 of the registers out of service. I had to stand in line to check out for about 5 mins. All in all my experience was just okay, if they had fresh fruit/veggies and things were stocked a little better I would have given it 4 stars. Would return. read more

This Target isn't in the most convenient location, but it gets the job done. Some parts of the store seem to have undergone renovations while other parts are still waiting. Also love the amount of clearance sections they have and how big they are but my goodness, this store is such a mess. No clue how when I saw 3 employees working hard on one of the clothes piles. This Target is a very busy Target probably gets more business than any other store in the area because of the location. With that said. I was seriously disappointed shopping at this location just yesterday. I usually go to the Dumfries store, which is fabulous FYI. This one was quite different. For being so busy on a Saturday afternoon they had only ONE register open which is not very Target like at all. Also the restroom...... OMG. A nightmare, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 3 weeks and smelled SOOO bad you could smell it from outside and several steps away. I've never been to Target like that. Again, I will say that they do get a lot of traffic at this store but that's even more reason to have an adequate number of registers open and to clean the restrooms regularly. Great location, but don't come close to closing time (like 15-20 minutes before closing.) They'll close all of the self checkout registers and make everyone in the whole store wait in 1 line. They are completing some type of renovations and even the workers don't know where the items are. Whomever is in charge of the clearance end caps is clearly not doing their job. All sorts of stuff crammed together and not labeled with a clearance price. When I took the trouble to self scan the items that I was interested in, the item either comes up as "not found in the system" or it indicates the full retail price. It's all rather exhausting and disappointing. It really is a total waste of time, energy, and effort in the perspective of a customer. This is a recurring and persistent problem with this particular store. I was shopping a couple of weeks ago and the same issue was going on. Only about 20-25% of the items had a clearance tag and I had to fight to get a price on something that I really wanted. This time I didn't even try. I got the feeling on my visit prior to this visit that there are products that are slated to be discarded, according to the sales associate that helped me with an item last time. My item had such a designation. They eventually came up with some price somehow, and I got the feeling that I kept a product from uneedlessly going to a landfill. Hopefully I'm wrong about that and that the stuff that doesn't sell just goes back to the vendor. I can't help but wonder how many people pick items out of clearance thinking it's going to just magically ring up a discounted price, but really get charged full price. This store# 0759, only Target in Woodbridge was the absolute worst! Why you might ask, well to start the store was a mess! I was shopping specifically in the Women's department. Secondly, I was there at 1:30PM on a Friday and there was one cashier at her register. She was as slow as they come. She was friendly and helpful to the both customers in front of me. They paid their Target bill(s) in cash all the while knowing that our line alone was at less 6-10, with full carts. Unfortunately, the customer in front of me didn't speak very good English so, of course the cashier was trying to understand her. She had three items and wanted to pay her Target bill, too. I shared with the cashier as to the customer's wishes. I waited in line for 30-40 minutes to buy three items. And while I waited, one cashier came to assist with the growing line. I looked over at the self service line to see 15-20 customers waiting to spend their hard ward money. After I left with complete disappointment I decided I would call to speak with the store manager. I was told Mike only is in the store once or twice a month which explains a lot!:/ Pathetic! read more

I just had the worst service in my life!!!! I came in looking for a crossword puzzle book. I asked where to find one. Was directed to electronics. Electronics sent me to stationary. I then asked two young ladies folding clothes. They would not acknowledge me. Ignoring my question. I cursed that I'd find the f-ing thing myself. One of the girls went and told another target worker who followed me around the store screaming at me that I cannot swear. This location has the worst guest service. I could even be classified as a Walmart. It's almost 1 in the afternoon on a Sunday and there was only one register open. There was a line of about 11 people waiting over 10 minutes before they decided to open another register. Once I finally get to the register the employee tells me I need to go to Guest Service to do my online price match. After waiting 15 minutes I clearly didn't want to go stand in another line. When I ask her why would I need to Guest Service her reply was "Not all cashiers have the device" However, to make the situation worst this employee did have a device and instead of offering to use hers she wanted me to go to Guest Service. It wasn't until I spotted her device and asked her why she couldn't use hers. If I hadn't seen she had device I would have had to go to Guest Service and waste more of my time. It's a shame the store is beautiful since it's been remodeled but the employee seemed to have been trained at Walmart. read more

Target isn't usually my first place to shop. And if I do go to Target, I would rather take the longer of the rides and drive to Bristow than go here. Compared to other Targets, this Target lacks the Wow Factor and the Nice Factor. The parking lot and inside are not clean right off the bat. The staff are not that knowledgable about their products. Also, the selection, although large, is not as big or exclusive as other Targets are in the area. My recommendation is to either travel to another Target, like in Dumfries, or do a quick in, quick out of this Target. read more

This target is good for household items , grocery shopping and they have an awesome home department that often has a good clearance items . As for clothes I do not even bother looking in this store. The women's department is pretty small and they do not have a plus size section . This site is good if you order things from target online and need to make a return I have not had any issues with that . Customer service is good at this location it is always well staffed however they do not have many registers open so depending on when you come in their might be a short wait. I only find this annoying because they have a lot of registers but 2-3max cashiers on at a time . I went to this location over a year ago to buy a television I know this is not an electronics store but the person working in the department could not answer basic questions I had about the tv so I did not buy it. This store has a small dinning area with a Starbucks and target concession counter. You can't use your Starbucks card at this location hopefully that changes soon . Overall very clean store , lots of parking and good shopping atmosphere . read more

I bought a pair of boots for my son at another target , but they were too big so I ended up returning them. Luckily I found the same boots, 1 size smaller at this target location( Potomac mills). This location is out of my way as well but I couldn't pass up the boots with all the snow we are getting. I pick the boots up and when I ended up checking them later on, there was pink moon sand inside one of the shoes... I've cleaned most of it out but my frustration is that this was an online order, why wasn't it checked? And then when I called in today to try to speak to a manager, lol I got redirected about 3-4 times. 2015 06 18 My daughter and I were looking for a certain toy. We found similar items on the shelf but the place for our desired item was sold out. I used a red phone to call for help and Robert met me on the toy aisle. Robert radioed the stockroom to check but they didn't have what we were looking for. Robert successfully found the item in stock at the Dumfries Target so I planned to drive over there. We were in the check out line buying something else when Robert came and found us in the cashier line. He said he may have found one of the toys I was looking for in the stock room. We waited by the check out line and a few minutes later he brought our item up to us. What excellent service. Robert could have simply let us walk away but he went to the extra trouble of searching for our item and coming to find us in the check out line. read more

Regardless of the good sales floor aesthetic, I have four reasons for giving this retailer a one-star rating. No matter how aged your face looks and the number of gray and white hairs on your head, purchasing alcoholic beverages demands the presentation of a government-issued identification to the cashier at the check-out. After doing comparison shopping at Walmart, local drug stores, Dollar Tree, and regional grocery chains, just about all of the merchandise in the store is overpriced, which includes all the Target house brands (Archer Farms, Market Pantry, Simply Balanced, and Up and Up). The refund policy is questionable. Even with the cash register receipt, a customer returning too much merchandise over a period of time gives Target the right to refuse a refund. (So shop carefully and make sure that anything you buy from Target is merchandise you don't plan on returning for a refund.) The check cashing policy is a joke. Target's policy regarding the acceptance of checks for payment of merchandise involves finding a reason not to accept checks at all. read more

I absolutely love the Target chain. When we lived in Dallas they had Super Targets. Although this is not a Super Target they do have a grocery section. The store is very well organized. Because its close to the outlet its alot of the merchandise is always gone. I dont think there is another Target with in 10 miles of here so what you see is what you get. The staff is always nice and accommodating. The women's clothing section is nice but can sometimes be a wreck on Saturday evenings. The special occasions and holiday sections are ok... just watch our when everything seasonal is on sale.... it can be a nightmare. They have a food service area and a Starbucks which always makes my trip quite pleasant The store hours aer awsome. They dont close til 11 pm M-Sat. Great for last minute shopping. read more

For the big three (Walmart, Kmart and Target) of discount department stores in northern Virginia, Target is my favorite because they are typically clean and seem to be a little more upscale both in products and in clientele (just watch the Walmart version of "Sexy and I Know It" on YouTube for an example of what I mean by that). This particular Target is in a really convenient spot because it is right off the Prince William Parkway exit and set back away from the mall traffic the eminates from Potomac Mills. The parking lot is accessable both from PW Prkwy and Telegraph Road behind it, which is a real time saver when it comes to shopping in Woodbridge. The store is well stocked, has clean restrooms and run well. I've been shopping here for the past 10 years and have never run into a problem. Another nice touch is the cafe in the front that offers Pizza Hut and some other healthy selections that are great for me and my family when we don't want to go to a restaurant but still need a quick bite to eat after shopping. read more
