I arrived back in town Thursday evening to no AC. It was 84 degrees in my condo! I called Tarpon AC, the company that installed our AC unit in January of 2023 after hurricane Ian. After the initial call asking them to come out, I was told that they would have to get back to me Friday morning. I texted around 9:00 am to see when they were coming, then called and left 3 voicemails and another text during the day. They wouldn't even reply or return a text! Around 8:00 pm Friday I called Quality Control Air of SWFL. The answering service gave my information to Jason and he called me back 10 minutes later. He said he had a couple of other calls, but that he was sure he could get to me this morning. Then a few minutes later he called back and said that he was just 5 minutes away from me and he would come over right away. He showed up and had my air running again in about 15 minutes!! I highly recommend Quality Control Air of SWFL and I now have a maintenance contract with them! I won't be calling Tarpon Air Conditioning again!! They Do Not stand by their customers or their work!! Taepon installed a new unit for us after Ian. unbeknownst to us (we were not here since our home was not habitable) they did not put a filter in. It ran with no filter all while construction was going on. It is full of dust and debris. Now we have to pay $1,000 to have the unit pulled and cleaned. Also they installed the wrong size breaker. They don't return phone calls and we never could find their office. read more

Beware of this company.Tarpon Air they were contracted by the roofing company, to unhook and reinstall our AC units.My Carrier unit was installed in 2014.It was serviced everyear it runs like clock.Year 2025 comes around Citizens insurance mandated new roofs in order to obtain coverage.Let the games begin.I sent pictures before and after to to the owner after these hacks got done.The AC crew came on Easter Sunday to reinstall the units on the 1800 building.I had all new whips and wiring only for these guy cut them and left them hanging.Then on top of that my tech took all the readings.The numbers were way off and would never keep up with the summer demand.My unit was 1LB short on refrigerant.If our maintenance man didn't take pictures of my whips my electric box would have been flooded out.On top off all that when the units were put on the new stands the copper lines vibrate in the tunnel when the compressor is running.I requested reimbursement for my repairs 2 months ago i am still waiting. None of the AC trucks were lettered they looked like they were ready to go the crusher.This is only 1 out of 96 reviews.I didn't even send a bill to Matt for the whips.My electrician helped me out.Make sure you read your reviews first!!! read more

Do not use. They were go under previous owners, but they've run it into the gr. They don't return calls and don't pay their staff. Sad.

DO NOT USE TARPON AIR CONDITIONING. Tarpon Air installed my unit less than 2-years ago. I paid over $6,400 for this 2.5-ton AC Unit and it leaks coolant. They came out initially and decided to charge me nearly $400 to refill the coolant and they did so without indicating where the coolant leaked from and made no attempt to find out. I asked them to find the leak and here it is over a month later and so many unanswered phone calls, texts, and emails that I can't count them. They are useless and don't stand by their equipment and certainly do not repair it. I now have to pay for a completely different company to come and do it all over again. HORRIBLE COMPANY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE, you have been warned. read more

We had our air conditioner replaced by Tarpon air back in July 2019. A couple months ago we noticed it was running hot so my husband went into the attic and checked the system and noticed the ductwork had pulled away from the handler. We went up to Tarpon air to let them know since we were out and they sent Rob out to fix it and then no issues. We noticed again that it was running hot so back into the attic my husband went and noticed there were two holes in the ductwork tape. He called Tarpon air to let them know that it had pulled away again and the woman that answered the phone was very rude and said that we were not customers of theirs, they had no idea who we were, and it was not their problem. Husband took paperwork up to Tarpon air and showed them and the lady was again very rude telling my husband he needed to leave that he was not a customer and they were not going to fix it and they did not fix it prior but they did. Rob called us a couple hours later and came right over to fix it. If it weren't for Rob, I would never use this company again. The lady was completely rude and she's going to make Tarpon air lose a lot of business with her nasty nasty attitude. read more

This company is AMAZING! A coworker recommended them and we have been having major air conditioning issues since we bought our house for the last 4 years. The company we had been dealing with were not able to actually fix or figure out what the problem actually is. Tyler and Rob came out for a free second opinion and went through everything in the house for 2-3 hours trying to figure it out. Since then we have only dealt with Tarpon Air Conditioning. I have used Rob and Tyler at Tarpon Air on four occasions now. Once with my personal home for AC repairs (total system replacement), and he has also done AC repair work for three of my clients. They get there quickly, fixed the problem right the first time, and unlike some other AC contractors I've had experience with-are honest. Pricing is VERY reasonable.
