Air Advantage should be avoided at all costs due to their unprofessionalism, unethical practices, and unreliability. As a long-standing customer since 2009, I have experienced a decline in their services, particularly since Scott became the sole owner of the company. Despite regular maintenance services every six months, I had recurring issues with my drain line becoming clogged. After changing the air unit and following all their recommendations, it was recommended by their lead technician, Luis, that I have maintenance every five months to prevent further clogging. This led me to believe that previous technicians had not been conducting thorough inspections. However, when I called to schedule my appointment with Luis, I was told it was too soon, and they could only offer me an appointment in six months. As predicted, the drain line began to clog, and when I called for an urgent service call, I faced numerous difficulties. First, no one answered my calls the day after Labor Day, and when I finally got through the next day, the person I spoke to, Fio, seemed inexperienced. Eventually, I spoke to Kenny, the dispatcher, who was rude, unprofessional, and refused to schedule an urgent call. When I requested to speak to his supervisor, he denied my request. Even after contacting Scott, the owner, who provided me with his cell phone number, he never returned my call or responded to any messages. Further frustration ensued when I spoke to Sue, who was even more belligerent and hung up on me when I expressed my dissatisfaction with their service. Even when I called back and spoke to Gina, the receptionist, I encountered more rudeness. Despite my tolerance for their behavior, I agreed to pay all costs for an emergency service call, but no one showed up within the scheduled 5 pm to 9 pm window. Despite several attempts, I couldn't reach anyone for an update, including Scott. The next day, I called Fio again, and she seemed clueless about the situation, promising to call back but failing to do so. Feeling that my time was wasted, I eventually called another air conditioning company who promptly scheduled my service for the morning. Six hours later, Gina finally called back, displaying an attitude and no apology for their failure to provide timely service. Overall, Air Advantage has proven to be an unreliable company that lacks professionalism and respect for their long-term clients. The owner's failure to take responsibility for his employees' behavior and their failure to provide reliable service is unacceptable. I intend to request a refund for my service plan and have already reported them to the Better Business Bureau. AC began freezing up after a different company serviced it just two days before. That company said I had a leak in the coils, bacteria plus maybe asbestos, and a leak in the compressor; he tried several times to sell me a new unit. Came back next day and could not fix issue. Hired Air Advantage and Hoffman came to the rescue. He was incredibly professional and never once tried to sell me a new AC unit. He did a leak test on the coil (none, and no bacteria or asbestos), cleaned the line and did the maintenance the previous man failed to do; found an air leak in compressor that was audible while the fan was running! Previous man either ignored it or created the problem. Hoffman repaired the straight gauge and fixed the issue. Add freon and all was well. His professionalism and work ethic were amazing and refreshing. I highly recommend this company now and for hiring Hoffman! We had to change our HVAC last year in Bonita Springs,Florida. I asked for many quotes from different companies. The best price we received was from Air Advantage so we decided to do business with them. The installation was done flawlessly by professionals in a timely manner. We were very satified. Recently there was a slight whistling noise coming from the A/C. I emailed Amber about the problem on a Saturday. The next monday , at 8:01, I received an e-mail offering to fix the problem between 12:00 and 14:00 the same day. They were at home at 12:00. This is what I call a five-star service! Chris went right to the source of the problem and fixed the unit immediately. Chris thoroughly tested the heater and AC after he found the problem. I came home on Friday, October 1st to an 86 degree house! Called AA and Rick and Luke came out at 5:30 and the decision was made to install a new unit. I said "you don't work on Saturday, but they were here at 8:00 Saturday morning. Everything was explained to me and I decided to install a new a/c. They arrived at our home within 20 minutes and within another 20 minutes of them being there they had our AC up and running. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.
