Tarpon Lodge Restaurant NEVER disappoints and tonight proves it! Went there to celebrate our sister's birthday. This is our choice of places for celebrating a person.... They make us look good. She had the best sangria she said she's ever had. My husband had the bourbon signature drink of theirs. ... Donna at the bar, knows her stuff. Because we requested the table in the corner by the fireplace, which is also in the lounge, she was actually a pleasure to have serving us as well. From the soup to the entrée to the most amazing desserts, this place will always remain our favorite - filet mignon (10 out of 10) - house made dessert - all of them were good, but the Keylime pie was off the chart (15 out of 10, if you will). Highly recommend if you go please make a reservation. This is one amazing historical place has been there since 1926 and still remains the old southern charm.

Catch of the day- Triple Tail, mango salsa, coconut jasmine rice, and asparagus.

Hannah was our waitress and she was amazing. So accomodating and friendly! Amazing bread- cranberry nut bread and a French/style bread served with peppercorn butter with olive oil Crab and corn chowder- very buttery, corn-forward with decent chunks of crab in it. Don't ruin it with the crackers they offer, it doesn't need it! Very craveable. Shrimp and grits - creamy with a great spicy andouille. Catch of the day- Triple Tail, mango salsa, coconut jasmine rice, and asparagus. Perfectly cooked, soft fish and moist rice. Great ratios of everything. The island itself isn't much to write home about but this restaurant is FIVE STARS. Great food, great service, and incredible ambience. Definitely recommend visiting for dinner at sunset!

    Paper Straws

Food was really good, patio is super nice. The only thing I can't stand about this place is the straws. Paper straws are something only the devil himself could have created, and anyone who sells them must worship him. Service was great as well, but the paper straws ugh. If there is one thing this world could do without it is paper straws. There's so much other stuff polluting the ocean, paper straws ain't saving a thing darling.

Our family had reservations here to celebrate multiple birthdays. We arrived early and were directed to the bar area to wait. We all ordered cocktails, and the bartender did not seem quite comfortable behind the bar (unsure about certain brands of liquors and wrong garnishes on drinks). We then sat inside. Our waitress was super pleasant and on top of things. Food was delicious. The deconstructed bruschetta is a must get for the table. The goat cheese was super creamy. Also, the smoked fish dip. Great flavor and good toppings. I ordered the jumbo lump crab pappardelle. Lots of crab meat and a big dish to order. Everyone at the table who ordered the catch of the day was very pleased. Overall, it was a great meal. I liked the cozy yet elegant feel within the restaurant.

    Bronzed Gulf Pink Shrimp appetizer

What a lovely place to spend our anniversary and last night on our spring break vacation in Florida! Our server was lovely and attentive. The food was delicious. We had the Bronzed Pink Gulf Shrimp appetizer - interesting and yummy! I had the Blue Crab & Corn Chowder and the catch of the day - red snapper with rice and mango salsa. The soup - perfect! The rice was a little boring, but the fish and salsa were a lovely combo. I had order envy - my husband got the scallops prepared with carrot puree and baby carrots. So delicious. We got a free anniversary dessert - the key lime pie. This was our third try for key lime pie at different restaurants on our vacation - and it was BY FAR the best one!!

Such amazing memories from my childhood this place has been around for many years. Had the privilege of taking my two adult children and son-in-law to dinner here last night. The ambience was incredible and the service was great and the food was superb. We had requested the shift to make something off the menu as my son doesn't eat certain things. The Chef did not disappoint! He made an amazing chicken dish minus the bacon. The dessert(s) were delicious. Donna served our table and she was fantastic! When we go again, I hope she's working. Highly suggest Tarpon Lodge restaurant do not go if you're in a hurry. It's just a great place to wander around before and after your meal. Our last visit we were there during the day and sat at the table in the bar. It was great. This time we sat out under the canopy. Can't wait to return.

The dock was well maintained and the restaurant/bar has a decent feel with sand all around. It was a super hot day so we made our way inside and snagged one of the few tables that was in there. My brother and I made our way to the bar outside to order drinks for our group. We ordered 2 watermelon mojitos, a margarita, and a strawberry lemonade. The drinks were all served in regular plastic solo cup size cups. I paid $80. This is astronomical especially for what we received. I'm not new to the island hopping life but this was way overpriced. The Watermelon mojito had a sort of phoney taste to it. Maybe it was not fresh juice used. I was told the margarita was just mehhh. But that price for 3 alcoholic drinks and 1 plain lemonade still gets me. This is definitely not the spot to stay for a long time and enjoy many drinks over an afternoon.

Also, the bartenders lie about the prices to intentionally mislead customers. Extremely OVERPRICED drinks! I'm debating alerting the BBB about my experience. Mainstay offers a 16oz glass or a 20oz 'bucket' mixed drink choice. When ordering, I asked the male bartender on 3/17 (St Paddy's) the difference in prices and was told that "The bucket is a better deal if you plan to order two or more drinks since it's only $2 more and you only pay the extra charge for the bucket on the first drink". Great - i planned to order 2-3 drinks so it made sense for me to pay extra for the 20oz 'bucket' drink. When I went up to order my 2nd drink it was a female bartender who took my order this time. I held my empty 'bucket' up to show her I had already purchased it and ordered the Mai Tai in a bucket. I asked if I need to give her my bucket to refill and she said 'no, hold on to it we'll give you a new one'. Well, she did give me a new one but she also charged me $13 AGAIN for the 'bucket' charge. So I paid $20 for the drink + $13 for the bucket. $33 for the drink. The 16oz drink is $18. Bartenders intentionally mislead customers. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE.

This past Friday our kids were visiting and insisted on going to YW and so we did. Folks, the storm clouds have parted! The ship came in! The underdog horse won the race. We "got over Macho Grande." Yucatán Waterfront is back and in a big way. Small drab portions..GONE! Don't give ---- service..GONE! Food..plated beautifully, tasting fantastic...YES! Our party of five, including a three year old, were served by Ashton, who never missed a step. My escargot was done differently than before, much better, with tasty garlic bread which is HUGE improvement over the stale mini roll from before. My wife's Taco Salad, son's Blackened Shrimp, Daughter-in-law's fried shrimp and grandson's burgers were all perfect. While I didn't try their dishes, the adults food looked like it came from a master chef. If you, like us, had a bad experience a year ago and stopped coming to Yucatán...it's time to go back.

Yucatán Waterfront Restaurant - June 2026…read more We used to love Yucatán -- it was one of our go-to spots. That's what makes this experience so disappointing. The food was solid and the waterfront atmosphere was as charming as ever. Unfortunately, the payment process turned a good meal into a frustrating mess. After lunch, our server brought a handheld credit card terminal. We tried swiping our card multiple times, but the machine kept failing to read it. Assuming the payment hadn't gone through, we paid in cash and left. The next day, I checked my statements and discovered the card had been charged anyway. I called the restaurant several times to resolve the double payment, but no one ever returned my calls. I even contacted Mastercard, but they couldn't help directly. The meal itself was enjoyable, but the complete lack of communication and follow-up on the billing error left us feeling disrespected. Bottom line: We won't be returning. If you're looking for a great waterfront meal in the area, there are far more reliable options, including: * Blue Dog Bar & Grill * Tarpon Lodge * Phuzzy's Boat Shack * Miceli's Restaurant * and so many more ... plus many other excellent local restaurants. Skip Yucatán until they fix their payment and customer service issues. I hope the next time we drive by we see a sign that says "under new management"

This turned out to be one of our favorite stops on the island so far! We were lucky enough to have Rene as our server--friendly, upbeat, and genuinely helpful. Creamy, tart, and tropical. Like Key Lime Pie in a glass! Chicken Tenders & Fries - My daughter gave these a big thumbs up. The fries were golden, crispy, and super fresh--not greasy at all. Chicken BLT - I ordered this and skipped the brioche bun (though it looked amazing!). Even bun-less, it was flavorful and satisfying. Blackened Grouper Tacos - My dad went with these and they looked fantastic--fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. He also had a Rum Runner, which was strong, smooth, and perfectly blended. (Not for the faint of heart!) The poolside ambiance was exactly what you want on a sunny island day--lively music, a splashing fountain, and a relaxed crowd. We didn't feel rushed, and it was easy to just settle in and enjoy the afternoon. Whether you are staying on the island or visiting for the day, definitely make time to stop here. Friendly service, great food, and that laid-back island energy. We will be back before the trip is over!
