After paying the deposit for my awning and getting measurements done I didn't hear a single word from the company until their installation guy showed up at my front door to install everything. While working the installer broke a light fixture (on video) and didn't bother to mention anything to us, but instead tossed the broken pieces to the side. Due to the absolute lack of communication we had yet to purchase a fan for them to install, so the installation tech had to come back out again to install that. While there he didn't bother to mention or apologize for the broken light and took spare pieces from the fan that I might need later. Follow up calls from the company have lacked any consideration for events, and while I'm generally happy with the awning itself the lack of communication and professionalism have been a problem to say the least. read more

We had a large insurance claim that we contracted Tarrant Roofing for after an excellent sales pitch from one of their project managers after our ranch was pummeled by a hailstorm this spring. This was the last "excellent" anything we got from Tarrant Roofing, as the next 7 months have been spent dealing with so many issues I could write a book about it. I will save the reader time by saying many false promises were made, and most of the installations (from tin roofs on multiple buildings to painting multiple buildings) were of such poor workmanship that crews had to come back sometimes 3-4 times before issues were resolved. Many of these issues I just had to make peace with not being right... for example after complaining about large gaps between the tin on a 100 x 100 metal building I was told that to fix that they would have to take everything down and redo it and that they wouldn't do that; this building actually looked better after the hail damage than after the repair! What was originally supposed to take a few months took 8... While I understand supply chain issues most of the delays were due to poor scheduling and fore site as well as many cancelled appointments that had to be rescheduled (not to mention having to come back dozens of times to correct errors on installs). Our project manager communicated well at the beginning but that fell off fast when things began dragging on, and was cought lying multiple times over scheduling issues and appointments (in their defense to cover for their subs incompetence). Overall I would say craftsmanship was below average, customer service poor, and I am more than disappointed with the final product. This was no small claim, in the neighborhood of 1/4 million. I try not to live with regrets but its pretty hard with this one... hopefully I can steer someone else clear of making the same mistake I did of choosing Tarrant Roofing. read more

Tarrant Windows & Siding replaced all the windows in my house, as well as one exterior door and three pair of French doors in 2019 - 2020. I was very pleased with their product, installation and service. I have a home in the Preston Hollow area of Dallas that is 40 years old and all the windows and doors were original to the house. I replaced one large picture window, 10 sliding windows w/screens and a 5-pane bay window (more challenging to properly measure & install) with Kensington (mfg) HPP Kingston custom built windows. I really love my new windows as they are color matched, solid vinyl so never need painting & don't conduct heat like the former aluminum ones, they're double strength glass, UV rated, better insulated and energy efficient. As I am upgrading and remodeling my home, these windows look so much better than the old ones. I also replaced one exterior door w/window and 3 pair of exterior French Doors with Waudena Millwork doors from Tarrant. The doors are Timbergrain fiber glass doors, fully insulated & Energy Star compliant, with a 10 year warranty. And the French doors have significant security features with a multi-point locking system (5 bolts secure the doors when they are locked), which made me feel safer in my home. And the doors are very attractive and had an option for different factory interior paint color and exterior paint color which allowed me to color match the doors inside & out with my home paint color schemes. I can't give negative stars so I'll leave a review worthy of this company. When I initially asked them to come out in the beginning of May 2021 they were very prompt and actually followed up. They came out and measured everything, and told me that for Celect siding it would be about $3200 or $3300, (I can't remember the specifics I'm doubling what I paid as a deposit.) and that they would be out in 3 weeks to install. The sale person also told me that they would be installing it over the top of the existing siding because it would increase the insulation and that that installation method was the best way to install it. (Sounded fishy but hey I can always review the work and they were going to install treated OSB at the bottom of the wall to prevent rotting of the old siding underneath.) All fine. Keep in mind that we had been trying to get people out to do the siding for almost a month after the Texas snow storm in February caused pipes to burst in the house, so everyone was marking their prices up due to price gauging... I mean demand. Now that you have the back story, here is why I'm giving them 1 star. (negative stars) 2 months go by with no update. I had called before this without a call back. So I call again. "Give us two weeks the manufacturer's backed up due to Covid." Two weeks later after not getting a call or update I call back, " Give us until next month." Crazy Covid times you know. Okay, I'm understanding, so I give them a month. Remember this is now 3 months in, with no regular updates to someone that has already given over $1600. I call again after a month, still the manufacturer excuse. Month 4-7 same excuse only switched up with "They can't get the workers." or "They don't have the resin to make the siding and are cancelling new orders." Also, I'm still reaching out to them not the other way around. Complete silence on their part. "So the manufacturer can't complete a single order for a 30x9 wall with trim after 7 months? I hope they are still in business after all that time!" (Google "PVC" or "Resin shortage.) Okay, I'm still reasonable; "What are my other options if I want the work done?" "We can put Hardy on in two weeks." Says the manager. "For what I've already payed you sure." I say. "Absolutely." He says. (At this point I have raised my voice with the manager but not anyone else. I have not swore or name called. I did ask them how with this level of service they were still in business and was given a "Everyone else is the same. Everyone else is having the same wait times." Meaning all the other companies.) Two weeks go by with no update or definite work schedule. I call back. "Hey, why are there not people here working on my house ", I ask. Let me get ahold of a few people says the nice receptionists. I get a call back after about an hour and the manager says "Oh! No one called you back?! No one followed up?! We can do Hardy in a week. I'll put in a change order. It's no trouble. It will all be taken care of. For the original $3200-3300." .... Give me back my money I'm done with you all. The manager hangs up the phone before I can say anything else. The same price for an inferior product for a single section maybe 30 feet wide and 9 tall total, with part of that being a wide bay window, are you out of your flippin' mind?! Even if they we're taking everything down l, putting in new insulation, treated exterior osb or plywood, the Hardy board siding, caulking, nails/screws, and paint, they would still be at around $500 in parts. (And that's priced from Lowes or Home Depot.) That means I'm being up-charged $2700-2800 for something that is already 7 months late, for something that will take 2 guys about 3 hours to do if they work slowly to drag out their day. How are you all still in business? How? Outside of the bar being so low for contracted work that you simply have to show up to get payed 6x the material cost and 5x if you include your employee's hourly rate. You all couldn't even manage that part. Stay away from this company. Believe the negative reviews. Look somewhere else. read more

They were timely, the product was as expected, and the installers were some of the most polite folks. Very smooth experience.

We signed a contract for a new sunroom in September 2021 and were told it would be done in December 2021. Then it was pushed to March 2022 due to materials delay. March comes and our materials are here but we just now learn they are so backed up on installations they can't come until May. There is only one person who can do the installations apparently. May comes and goes and then we were told June. Now we get a call in June that there is an issue with the permit and could be another six weeks (despite the fact they've had nine months to get the permit). I have never had such a terrible experience with a company in my life. We have been shuffled between countless project managers and have to call them to request updates. They don't even do sunrooms anymore it is such a mess. I am doubtful this project will ever get done. read more

We now have been waiting on a very simple job I was told. Two day minimum per Tarrant Window and Siding. I was told on January 24 we would be getting a call from Mike. The installer. Apparently he is the only one in these company that does this? Ridiculous! We have been waiting on these people to get our job completed since July 24 ,yes 2021!! We are being held hostage in our home we want to get on the market asap. First wanted to list in December but couldn't because of the job. Then tried in February but can't because of this job. Going on 8 months now since we contracted and we put $4900 down. Numerous calls have been left for George with. 911 urgency. No return calls since we were told all of materials arrived on January 24. Don't ever contract with this company. The salesman here give you a really good pitch. It's all a bunch of hot air.
