I never really write reviews or take my time to write this much but I took this class last week, and my overall opinion was it was a waste of my time and it is just not what it is advertise to be. The photos online are totally different then how it is in person. I just feel like the class was whole mess and I lost out on $500!
I understand this class was a basic classic set beginners class. But I do not feel like I even learned the basics to do a classic set. Mind I am already certified so I already kind of know what I am doing. So attending this class was just to get more training, more education and I liked the "instructors" work . So attending this class, going in already knowing "the basics" I do not feel like even the basics of a classic set were taught.
My thoughts about the academy driving up first of all, was the location! It was in the most ghetto place in la!
I do not live in la, so for me to go somewhere I do not know, and especially having to park my car on an unknown street with homeless people, crackheads, and people pushing shopping carts around, honestly wasn't the type of area I wanted to be in, espically to be learning in.
The academy was super hot in the inside! It was literally 100 degrees outside so being inside with no ac or fan was even worst! The one of the "instructors" had someone come in to fix the air and put like a big fan in the back room that blew air around the whole salon. But it was still hot.
I understand some peoples standards and expections are a little higher than others.
So maybe my taste is just a little bit different than what this class provided.
But from the ads being posted and the advertising of this class, I was expecting a lot more than what was provided.
The manual that was provided was literally copied and pasted photos from google. (Like screenshots I have in my photos)
I am sorry I was just expecting a little bit more and a little bit more of a classy elegant type of academy. But not every one can provide that. So just do your thorough research about any class you take, research the instructions, their styles, they way they work, where they work/ lash, what schools they attended, what products they use, do the research.
Not everyone in this industry is out to teach you or help you advance in your career. A lot of people are money hungry and greedy. Only looking out to help themselves!!
Just be smart with where you invest your money to get an education, and make sure the education you are paying for is worth the amount of money (no matter the amount) that you are paying.
If you are looking to just get a fast certification for eyelash extension, for a cheap $500. Then maybe this class is for you. But for me I value my money and my education, I want to actually learn, and for me I didn't feel like anything was taught.
Maybe more hands on, more details, more everything. But I am not the one holding the class, I just do not feel like this class taught me anything.
That is just my opinion, this was definitely not a type of class I would attend again or recommend.
Let me add to my review ***
After the class was held, I did buy some lashes from one of the instructors, just because I needed the lashes and didn't want to go waste another few hours of my day to go drive to another part in la to go get some.
A few days later I sent a photo of "dame de lash" adhesive product, it was totally dried up and no longer will come out of packaged bottle, the instructor was very rude and told me it was just how glue was it was a chemical!
I have had several different types of glue and no adhesive has ever done that before! I did one set using her products! Worst mistake ever!
I really liked her as a lash artist and was interested in her style at first but attending her class and using her products, I feel we're a total catfish! I am so disappointed , I just hope she is t doing this on purpose to make money! Because it seems like a scam or she just really doesn't know how to teach and what she is doing. read more
