La Regadera was one of the newest restaurants in the area so decided to join a group with a family friend to check out some of the dishes. We wanted to try a number of dishes so ordered several things to share amongst 10 people. Too many to list but everything we had there's a photo and description. Everything was delicious and compared to the other more traditional Canarian restaurants in the area, there is a bit of a modern twist - such as the black papas arrugadas. Also if you're more of the atmospherey type of person, this place is nice and bright - with a nice homey feel to it with the furniture. Most restaurants in LP feel like they've been around for a long time - which gives it a nice charm but if you're looking for a new and fresh place, definitely check out La Regadera.

The town of Tejeda is remote but is a pretty little place. The church is beautiful inside, just a few steps away. If you are a tourist staying on the south coast of Gran Canaria I recommended getting the No. 18 bus through amazing scenery and having lunch at this lovely place. The only reason for not giving five stars is that they gave me and charged for bread that I had not asked for, although it was freshly baked and delicious.

But the food was really good. I tried seafood soup and rice with calamari in ink sauce. Lunch menu comes with bread and drink (maybe coffee.. but I didn't have it as I was full). They don't speak good english but they accommodate with their best. Open till 5 pm for lunch, then close till 8 pm when dinner starts. If you are in the neighborhood, try it.
