Remember in the movie when Julia Roberts went to Rodeo Drive and they refused to sell her clothes? That just happened to me at this store. An intern who was working there refused to sell me a jacket and told me this was "out of your price range", and that "a girl can dream". She just would NOT stop insulting me about this jacket by @parka_ny that I can actually afford it! I texted the owner to complain and she said she will talk to me the next day to find out what happened. Didn't hear from her and on Thursday I texted to ask if she's still wanting to talk about the incident. I went to the showroom that Friday (already 3 days after this happened) and I was hoping they would at least apologize to me or discuss what happened, but instead they tried selling the jacket. I am sad, because they focused more on making money as opposed to doing the right thing. It is now Sunday - about 5 days from the incident and it gets worse! Clearly this company does NOT know how to apologize and handle this situation. Instead of apologizing so we could move on with the situation, the store owner has not only started patronizing me and harrassing me through text messages AND my work phone. And has also now resorted to trolling my Instagram friends. This has been going on ALL weekend. Let this be a lesson to business owners. We, your potential customers, are more than just your source of income. We are your biggest fans - when treated right, we advertise you for free and become your best ambassadors. And if not satisfied, can be your hardest critique. But as life goes, you need to learn in order to grow. If you're not willing to learn from your mistakes and swallow your pride, then you miss out on the opportunity to make your company bigger than it should be. And as always, treat EVERYONE with respect. In my life, I have been in both sides - rich and dirt poor. And I'm grateful to be in both sides because this has humbled me. No one should be judged for their apperance alone! If Zero stars existed, I would vote that for this store! FINAL EDIT: I am fully aware that this place is a showroom and fully aware that not all items are for sale. I went during a sample sale day. Why not just say, "I'm sorry, but this item is not for sale."? Could have left it at that, but to be subjected to insults for a couple of minutes and going on and on and the exact words being, "I'm sorry, but you can't afford that jacket! It is out of your price range. But you know, I can't afford it too. A girl could dream, right?!". Learn to approach someone and it's plain etiquette and good manners and don't treat people and be presumptuous about what they can and cannot afford. I walked into another store after that, and the sale person just said, "Sorry, ma'am - That's not for sale or part of the sample sale.". That. my dear, was the proper way to approach this situation. This was the worst hair appointment of my life. I came in with a brand new unit in hopes for a cut…read morein. I was at this salon for over 8 hours only to get the brand new unit completely destroyed. During my appointment my stylist Chanel said several times that she needed to buy me new unit and that she doesn't usually do these. Here is what went wrong. They did not have the correct glue for lace. The glue was applied to both the lace and my scalp (a huge no-no to the lace). I even mentioned it. Five minutes later the glue had seeped all the way through the lace. This caused a disaster. My hair was covered in glue. I then had to have someone come drop proper glue off (why offer a service if you are not even prepared). Then once it was on she literally cut the hair on the back shorter than my real hair! Between the glue disaster and the cut my brand new system was ruined. My stylist kept apologizing to me says she would buy me a new unit and she is sorry that she doesn't really do these. I got sent home with an awful cut, my day wasted and glue was coated all over my hair! I then stopped in the next day to show them the disaster and no one was at the salon. I had left a voicemail with Debbie and she eventually got back to me. I told her what happened. She refunded me the money for the cut in service but not the unit. She even expressed how she shouldn't have even taken me as they normally only do woman's hair. I told her that I would then like a refund for my unit that her inexperienced stylist had botched. I told her how much my hair cost, she than said " they don't cost that much". Again why would she know if she doesn't use this hair often at her salon. I sent her an email with the invoice. I got no response. The super frustrating part is that I waited 6 months for this hair to come in from back order (350$). I ended up having to wait 2 weeks with an awful head of hair on to emergency fly to New York City to have my unit done correctly. The stylists jaws hit the ground when they saw what hairlab Chicago had done to me. The whole experience was traumatizing and stressful and I wasn't heard by owner! In my opinion if you knew better and even admitted that she shouldn't have accepted me as client, then why make me responsible for your mistake! I would never let a client walk out looking like this and then hold them financially responsible. Over all Debbie doesn't want to take responsibility for the mistake and I'm here to warn any further men to not come here! I am completely disgusted and disappointed with my experience here. Apparently it's my fault for getting my hair done there? I just don't get Debbie's logic. They should really take full responsibility to make this right on their end.
