A good "go to" lunch.
For close to two years now whenever I've wanted a good regular sized (read: not giant) sandwich, I hop into whichever Taste is nearby and grab a Portuguese Baguette. It's consistent, it's reliable, it's tasty. I've never tried anything else on the menu. I don't think there's a need for me to be adventurous here.
The critic in me has to point out that the outside of the baguette can break into sharp pieces and do some damage to the roof of your mouth (which sounds much worse than it is - I'm not trying to liken the baguette to glass shards), but the bread is fresh and airy otherwise.
Unfortunately, the coffee is inconsistent. Some serve Campos, some don't. (Met Centre does not). Some serve Campos well, some don't - but if you're looking for a good baguette, give this place a try. read more
