I met Kayla when I took her fermenting class through the local Co-op. She came to my rescue a few years later when I had an emergency abdominal surgery with complications. She came to our home and prepared, not only nutritious high protein post surgical meals for me, she also made gourmet and hearty meals for my husband as he continued his busy business life and caring for me. He enjoyed fresh line-caught salmon, free range roasted chicken and roasted veggies while I savored Kayla's soups, smoothies, hearty hot cereals and a pumpkin spiced dessert concoction that I asked for after every meal. She left us many frozen delights, too. We only wish we could have her full time! Kayla is a majickal goddess when it comes to preparing food for people made with absolute love and joy!!! We have hired her for our wedding in June, and have only done the tasting so far, but I was speechless and my partner literally CRIED the food was so tasty. You can taste the love and passion Kayla puts into her work with every bite. She has been phenomenally professional throughout the whole process-- doing a primary interview with us that lasted over an hour and a half because we connected so well, has brought so much joy and creativity to helping us plan the menu, and has been incredibly flexible with our many dietary restrictions as well as changing budget restraints (we went from 175-250 person wedding, and she came up with an alternative menu that fit our budget so quickly). Kayla didn't show up to a scheduled workshop she was suppose to put on for our Burning Man camp and I normally do not like to leave bad reviews but not only did she not show, I have not received an explanation of what happened or a message apologizing even after reaching out to her asking why she didn't show and letting her know how disappointed I was. I made an event on our Burning Man page with all of the details and hand painted signs that were up all week. The day of her workshop, I waited at the camp for 2 hours prior to the event time so I could welcome her and help her with anything she needed and not only did I wait for nothing, people that were there to attend were let down too. So disappointing. It would be nice if she at least had the respect to reach out and let us know what happened. So unprofessional. read more

I was fortunate enough to have been nourished by Kayla for ten days! She lovingly prepared and served 40 of us breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. Her meals were AMAZING. Just writing this review makes my mouth water! I loved it so much. The food was not only delicious but so healthy. That is definitely the healthiest I've eaten in years. Excellent menu, fantastic food, great service. We had 120 people over for a garden party. Kayla worked with us to come up with menu that fit our needs. The passed gazpacho and ceviche hors d'oeuvres were a big hit.The seafood paella and the sliced flank steak in a wild mushroom sauce over saffron rice was wonderful.
