This place never disappoints! I live nearby so I come often and truly I think this is the best brunch place anywhere near the area. The drinks, baked items, and their incredible menu make this a staple for me and many of my neighbors. I just wish they had more seating and that it wasn't so loud inside when busy. I recently moved to Medford and was looking for a cute cafe where I can stop by for breakfast. I came across Tasty Cafe and Kitchen. Upon entering the space was very clean, cute and busy. Luckily I was able to snag a table to have my breakfast. I ordered the granola bowl along with the healthy nut. To go I ordered a chocolate croissant. The bowl and the smoothie were both pretty tasty and the prices were reasonable. The chocolate croissant I wasn't much of a fan. The chocolate inside was dry and hard. I've tried two of their sandwiches and I have to say they are really tasty, fresh, filling and made of quality ingredients. The price is a bit steep, but I think the price point is reflective of the quality. The chipotle chicken was not spicy at all despite the name, so if you're looking for a kick I would ask for extra chipotle mayo. Great quality chicken and a good sized piece. My only critiques are that they were heavy handed with the red onion, it was over-powering and it could really have used some cheese. The other sandwich I tried was the chicken salad, I was surprised by how much I liked it, well seasoned and all of the components worked well together! Only critique is I thought there were too many dried cranberries for my taste, making it sweeter than I would have liked. Bread on both was great! Overall, impressed by the quality, flavor, and creativity! Not your run of the mill sandwiches. So if you're looking to change things up at your lunch meetings, highly recommend! read more

The greatest (and most expensive) chicken and waffle I've ever had. Incredibly well fried, crispy. with a good chicken to batter recipie, and lovely texture--incredibly well seasoned. Waffles are also well made. I typically buy to go, but the place is small yet very modern and (pricey) feeling with lots of marble, and a bunch of people behind the counter if you wish to sit down. As someone who has been gf for over 5 years, it was one of the best things I have eaten in a long time. My worst experience ordering online food ever. I ordered steak median rare and some fruits on the side. Turn out when I received the food 1) the steak was obviously over-cooked 2) THERE ARE FLIES IN THE FRUITS. No kidding. I found out after I ate one piece of the watermelon and the fly was just struggling to move around underneath the piece of watermelon I ate. DISGUSTING! I called the restaurant and the guy who picked up the phone was very irresponsible. His explanation was: I didn't see any fly when I was cutting it. Ruined my whole day. i have been going to Tasty Cafe & Kitchen for a few months now and even though I might have an issue with food preparers not always or ever wearing nitrile gloves when cutting fruit they are ALWAYS friendly, QUICK with service, in my case NEVER wrong with order and NEVER rude or impolite in ANY way. yes sometimes it is chaotic inside the seating area but that's because everybody in the area is going there to eat or pick-up. inside it is ALWAYS clean. overall: food? great! service? excellent! cleanliness? spotless! will I return? I love this spot for a cheap, quick, filling breakfasts. They have a wide array of options, from health smoothies to s'mores pancakes. The staff is always so friendly, and I love seeing the regulars come in day after day--that is how you know a place is loved. The interior is a little bit unique, the walls are covered with blown up photographs of the food and of Boston, which comes off as a little tacky, but don't let that fool you. The place is friendly and cozy in it's own way. They do takeout and deliver, for those days that you can't face the world but need someone to make you breakfast. Tamper was closing so I figured I might as well try this place for lunch. My first red flag should have been that some of the employees were straight up not wearing masks, but I was hungry and kind of curious to try a new place. I got the green and vegan sandwich on an everything bagel to go. I saw later that the cook wasn't wearing a mask either, but that was after I had already paid and was waiting for my food. In my opinion, $9.50 is way overpriced, especially for the quality I got. Because it was hot when they put it in the cardboard box, the steam made the bagel soggy (and it didn't taste like a good bagel to begin with). It was also absolutely flavorless--adding sriracha made it better, but I was tempted to just throw it out.
