Cute and cozy diner! Fast service! Yummy Food! Wide selection of food options. I love that they have servers of young and middle age working. Everyone is super friendly and polite. I was greeted with a smile and seated as soon as I arrived. The establishment was busy but the servers did not skip a beat. Definitely a place to try. Not many diners in this area so give them a visit.

Solid diner in Ridgewood. Not sure what happened to this neighborhood but after strolling for 20 minutes this was the only brunch place open. The service was great and food was delicious and reasonably priced. I got a cheeseburger deluxe with waffle fries and it was pure perfection. There is a well worth wait time so be sure to expect that. Highly recommend!

Great spot for a classic diner experience. Decent prices and fast service. However, they do charge a fee when paying with card called a "technology fee".

FOOD 1.) two eggs over medium with ham = yommm I'm in love. I know, it's just eggs and plain ham. But I just love breakfast food now. 2.) home fries = love how it has burnt crispy bits. Came with the eggs Such good prices too SERVICE Very friendly, warm family welcome. Super sweet waitress ATMOSPHERE 9a on a weekday. Love the bustle of a diner, the frying noise of getting the day started, the chatter. Breakfast rush kinda clears out

I had a odd experience this morning at about 8:20 am. I walk in and the young female hostess tells me sit anywhere. There are about four other people sitting in the place. I decide to go to the last booth on the far side and sit down. There were other empty booths. An older Latina server walks up to me and ask me if I was expecting another person. I told her no. She then asked if I would sit at another table. Apparently the booths are for two diners or more. I get up and sit at one of the tables. She then proceeded to give me the menu in a less than friendly way and asked if I wanted something to drink. At that point, I did not like her vibe. I did tell her that the hostess told me to sit anywhere. I noted to her that the place was practically empty. She rudely said ok then sit where you want. She said she did not make the rules. I said it would have be nice to know them when I walked in. I have no problem with a policy if I know in advance. I then got up and left. I just couldn't handle this person serving me food or just eating there. They disrespected me in my opinion as a customer. There are plenty of other places to enjoy breakfast and spend my money. I have been going to this place every now and then for YEARS! I was just there that past Sunday with my family for a nice breakfast and dropped about $62 dollars. I'm not going to this place for a while. A good meal or in my case the thought of a good breakfast can easily be ruined by lackluster and rude service.

Reuben open faced sandwich with pastrami instead of corned beef and fries. $8ish

I live in Illinois and frequent this restaurant but stopped by today and saw that it was closed for renovations. Is there another similar place nearby? I heard the owner has another place close by. We love heir coffee much better than Starbucks.

Yeah they have a temporary location about half a block west on Myrtle Ave.

The restroom, located downstairs, was clean. The waiter was informative, quick, and polite. Our food was delicious! My son had the eggs and bacon with potatoes and toast and their fresh squeezed OJ. My husband had the steak and eggs with a decaf latte. His steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. I enjoyed the chicken and waffle eggs Benedict, and I cleaned my plate. We will definitely return. Thanks for a nice Sunday meal!

I'm usually more of a smash burger kind of guy, but the steakhouse style burger was quite flavorful. My only complaint about the burger is that it had no sauce or condiments at all on it. The bacon mac and cheese was also quite nice. The bad: It was pretty overheated in the restaurant, and really humid. The only thing in the restaurant to help with the heat was one big fan at the back. Unfortunately, it was blowing directly on one table of guests back there, and not really doing much for the rest of the people in the restaurant.

Came here around 3 pm and it was empty. They greeted my family and I and seated us right away…read more Brought us water and a delicious hot coffee right away. TONS of options on the menu. It was our first time in New York and after eating at "popular" expensive restaurants we were over it. Something was missing the entire trip. This restaurant had what we were missing. It was cozy and quiet and inviting. We stopped at Gunther's before deciding to come here because this restaurant only had 2 reviews but Gunther's had way more. We walked into Gunther's and were ignored for a solid 5 minutes before we just walked out. Gunther's had a lame menu and zero customer service. We just walked out and came here to Seneca Coffee Restaurant. BEST DECISION EVER. I ordered the Lumberjack Pancakes that came with 3 pancakes, and I ordered sausage with scrambled eggs on the side. Portions were huge and super delicious. Pancakes were big and soft. Sausage was one of the best sausages I've had (I'm particular about my sausages because you can taste the difference between bad quality meats) and the eggs were perfect. My mom ordered a California omelette and it came with a hefty side of potato (salted to perfection) and for half slices of toast. My sister ordered the lumberjack French toast and it was 4 thick half slices of French toast with plenty of egg and 4 long slices of bacon that was crispy and delicious. My mom also ordered a champurrado that was pretty good. I also have to mention that we asked for some pico de gallo and the sweet woman up front made it fresh and brought it immediately. She even asked if it was ok but it was delicious with the perfect amount of spice. All of the food was divine. We left thanking them for a quality brunch and full stomachs. The owners seem like they have a priority to serve their customers properly. Most of our time spent in New York we were rushed and ignored because they are dealing with so many customers and I understand. However, when we came here to Seneca Coffee Restaurant, we realized what was really missing from the New York experience and that was real attention. If you're in the area and you want a quality dining experience where you are not ignored or rushed or feel like you're paying a lot and only getting a little, then you need to come here. We are so happy that we walked out of Gunther's to come here. This place is 11/10 just come here trust me

We were also intrigued to try the sangria that yelp raved about. We got a pitcher! It did NOT disappoint. It was a decent size pitcher for the price. Roza came to us and asked if we liked it and told us it was her recipe. No sugar ,No soda .It was tasty, thick full of fruit and definitely had liquor because I left with a buzz She also brought out the rosè for us to try pretty good too very refreshing will definitely do that one in warmer weather. I got the Dbar burger it was good but so big I didn't finish it all. My husband got the rib eye burger. He liked it but it was a little to greasy for him he didn't finish it. My 13 year old wanted breakfast. It was not in the menu but we figured we ask since it is a diner. She got pancakes with fruit and scrambled eggs. My youngest daughter got from the kids menu grilled cheese with fruit she enjoyed it so much we had to order another. Both girls for the marshmallow milkshake they LOVED it! For appetizers we got calamari good but could've used a little more breading. Also got chips with guacamole and honestly for a diner it was delicious. Everyone was friendly. Roza knew she had a bday past since we conversed for a bit and suggested we can sing her happy bday and asked what she liked I told her chocolate cake. They asked for the correct spelling of her name which I thought was sweet. Anyway the staff came out and sang with us super cool. Even the bathrooms are really clean. It was a great experience will definitely come back.I must be honest it's a hit pricey. The price for the pancakes with eggs was $23 when we saw the bill I was a little surprised. Kids' meals are $13 and I thought we were getting the cake (free, lol) since I technically didn't suggest it. It was $12 for a slice. But overall it was a pleasure she even gave us a sample of vodka with lemon and ginger which was actually good and helps settle the stomach.

My friend and I decided to share everything. We ordered: GARLIC NAAN 5/5 These garlic naans were probably the best we've both tried. As soon as we took a bite, we are both impressed. And to think that we would have missed out if our server didn't suggest it... These particular naans are made different from the traditional Iones. They are coated with buttery goodness and are super thin. The hummus on the side was also a very good pairing. I would recommend this app. PORK JHOL MOMO 5/5 These pork momos were also super delicious! Comparing it to the ones I've had at another restaurant, there is no overpowering cilantro in this one! The momo itself was very juicy. The flavor of the inside and the soup was delicious. Another must-get! CHICKEN KHAJA PLATTER 4/5 My friend and I were probably the least impressed with this one. A lot of the dish includes a lot of dry ingredients like popped rice & soybean seeds. They also used cold meats and veggies. It was great to try each portion of the platter, but wasn't our personal favorites of our visit here. Overall, we had a delicious lunch. We throughly enjoyed our experience here and would definitely recommend this local spot. I did think it was worth the trip over.
