Extremely large book store with a variety of seating available. There's a coffee shop attached to the store as well in the back with another entrance. I could definitely stay a whole day here

If you know, you know. If you don't, you should. What a delectable place to find a book, sit and read, or even a place to get lost in the endless maze of books. Wall-to-wall, ceiling to ground...books. More than likely, they have what you are looking for and if not they can get it. If you love the smell of books and the creak of an old floor, your heart (and time) will be stolen here.

I love bookstores. I love how cozy this one is specifically. You could spend hours here with the selection they've got. They also have a great used section!

First visit after Barnes & Noble bought Tattered Cover out of bankruptcy. This is Tattered Cover's largest bookstore which was formely the Bonfils Henry Lowenstein Theatre. The book racks are fuller but the magazine section is thin. The checkout person said they had changed vendors and they expect more variety soon. The in-house Best Cellars Cafe is still welcoming with separate seating with hot & cold drinks with food. Plenty of staff and patron recommendations for book purchases. Scattered chairs throughout, but they do not prohibit seating on the carpeted floor. There is a lower floor, primarily children's books. The have carpeted stairs and an elevator. Restrooms on both floors require an access code. I saw a sign at the west door that they validate parking at the next door parking garage attached to the Sie Film venue. Short term parking on the south side and free street parking nearby. The east door entrance shares a lobby with Sap Sua, a Vietnamese restaurant. The checkout person said they are integrating the Tattered Cover and Barnes & Noble rewards programs.

The Tattered Cover Bookstore and Cafe (Colfax loxation). Great place to grab a coffee, light snack and books. A local Barnes & Nobel with a more hometown feel. Stay and relax. When you're done go to the old school record shop 5 steps away that shares a pedestrian sidewalk.

I love bookstores. And Tattered Cover should have been no different. What's not to love? New and used books in a spacious former theater in central Denver. Plenty to see. Lots to do. Books to buy. Right? Wrong. Tattered Cover has fallen victim to the scourge of political correctness and the result is a disappointing overabundance of unreadable tripe compounded by empty shelves and a horrible 'selection' of books. Shameful.

I visited the location at the Stanley Marketplace and wanted to write a review but unfortunately they don't exist on Yelp yet so here we go! This was not my first visit nor will it be my last, every time I've been greeted very warmly. Last week I went in and bought a few books for my nephew and had to place an order to get a specific book for my niece. My sister and her family lost their home in the Marshall fire and I wanted to start replacing the books the kids lost. When I went to pick up my niece's book I told them the reason for the purchase the staff shared their condolences and even provided a discount which was incredible kind. Thank you to your staff.

    The disgrace in question

I'm so dissatisfied with my visit here today. i come in here often but todays experience was terrible. i go to the café to get a chai and i get my whole cup FILLED WITH ICE!!! i paid $6.06 for a LARGE and i got 3 SIPS out of my beverage. This is mind boggling and ATROCIOUS!!! Their customer service is horrid and their attitude is beyond me. They're very disrespectful and overpriced. Dont bring your families here EVER. Look out for the one with the man bun. Pure disrespect. If i could give them 0 stars... I WOULD. They also use lots of vulgar language and racial slurs.

Best bookstore in Colorado. Don't miss going downstairs also, to see a huge selection of books by independent, Local Colorado Authors!

Does Tattered Cover Book Store buy books?

I saw used books there. I'm not sure if they bought them bulk or if they buy books from individuals.

The coupons are very useful, and speaking as a graphic designer of over 20 years, the layout of both the magazine and website are fantastic - a heavier, shiny paper stock and a fully responsive, modern site make a huge difference these days, not only for the publishing company itself, but for the advertisers as well. Your Neighbor Magazine tops the charts on all levels. If you're a business looking to advertise in the local market, I'd definitely check out this company first. Based on the reviews of some similar companies in the area I've become aware of recently, it seems that going anywhere else might turn your worst nightmare into a reality. Quality, professionalism, and getting what you're paying for ARE important, right? Keep up the great work, Your Neighbor Magazine, and thanks for being here!

I received an email from him asking what my budget was and explained I wasn't looking to do a paid advertisement - I only wanted to submit an event to a public events page, which most publications have on their site and offer for free. Instead of pointing me in the right direction, I received a very condescending email saying he wasn't sure how I got his contact information (it's literally on your website) and to only contact him about paid advertising. I sent him a screenshot of the form I had been looking for and said maybe in the future he'd consider pointing people in the right direction instead of shutting them down. Well, he didn't like that. He responded 3 minutes later with an even more condescending email and said that my event wouldn't "fit" within their advertising calendar... Man, this dude needs an ego check. If the magazine reflects anything of my interaction with him, I can't imagine there's much substance.

I asked a…read morevalid question about the contract after being sent information I also needed, like will this be shared on social media or just on the website. The Advertising contact responded mockingly "no that's not what we talked about" and unprofessionally added that we wouldn't be a "good fit" anyway. This was out of nowhere and we were about to spend $750 that day. His next responses were annoyed with one more sentence from me, saying that the info was listed in their media kit. (I just wanted a yes/no clarification). After being told we wouldn't be a good fit to spend sponsored ad money there, I was then told the rates will be increasing soon (?? not sure why we would spend more in the future if we weren't a good fit now) then shut off the conversation with, "stay blessed and good luck with everything." I then contacted someone else at the company about the situation and we were to set up a call and see how we can fix this. I was then blown off with our scheduled call on Monday as well as ghosted when I sent an email to the other contact at our scheduled time saying that I'm still available for the call. Never heard back.
