It has remained one of my favorite pieces of art all these years later. So when I finally decided I was ready for my chef tattoo, he was the artist I wanted. I was thrilled when he responded to my inquiry with genuine enthusiasm. I could not be more pleased with what we created together. The theme was food plants--but not the food itself--so the piece includes tomato plants, rosemary, chamomile, basil, nasturtium, and some of the critters that live around them. The whole sleeve flows beautifully with the anatomy of my arm in a way that still kind of blows my mind. Later, I asked Kiel to create a memorial tattoo for my father and uncle. With just a few prompts, he designed a vibrant and deeply personal tribute to two of the best men I've ever known. Everything has healed beautifully. Kiel is also wonderful to sit with through long sessions. We end up talking about books, movies, video games, parenting, and the general chaos of trying to be adults in a strange world. The conversation makes the hours easier, and meaningful. He's a genuinely kind human being and an incredibly talented artist. His understanding of anatomy, movement, and color theory makes his work feel alive on the body. I would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone looking for something distinctive and personal, especially if you're willing to trust a gifted artist to collaborate with you creatively. 10/10. I told Mike exactly where I wanted the holes; he made marks and showed me for my OK. One he hit and the other he missed, although not by a lot. Worse still, the holes are at an angle. The hole exits the back of my earlobe lower than where it is in front, so you can see the backings of all studs, and you can tell that the studs are at a 45 degree angle. The place is sanitary, and he is easy to talk to, but won't be going back, have to see someone else about new holes that look right.

He can turn any thought you have into an amazing piece and make it come to life. He is also one of the "lightest hands" I've experienced when it comes to getting tattoo'd. Erik has done over half of all of my tattoos (some not pictured because I wanted to show his primary style) and it is the least amount of discomfort and pain I have experienced. The shop itself is kept very well. Always clean, always organized, and very welcoming comfortable. The other artists within FMT are also very friendly, courteous, and helpful in all aspects. I highly recommend FMT if you are looking for your next or first tattoo.

Very disappointed in the lack of customer service and professionalism. My friend and I have been…read morewanting tattoos for some time, and she was in contact with one of the artists at Deadline Design. He gave her the runaround several times while she was trying to get an appointment. We're told to come in at 1 in the afternoon, but later tells us that because of a prior appointment, he wouldn't be able to take us until 7. We decided to let it slide, and show up at 7. When we get there, we're left to sit there for about a half an hour. The whole time, he's wandering round, chatting away with the customer that I assumed he had been working on, chatting with a few other guys that were there, and barely acknowledging us. After 7:30 comes and goes, and at close to 8, he decides to go and get a slice of pizza, leaving us still sitting in the waiting area to wait for who knows how much longer. I get that you're busy, but why not say that from the start when you had us believing that you could take us at a certain time? We just wasted time and travel for nothing. And my friend has a young child that she had to make arrangements for. Anyway, I'm sure I'm going to get some backlash for writing this because they seem to like to immaturely ridicule people that give them bad reviews (Just check it out on their facebook page). Very professional!
