When I was 23, I met the owner, Michael Cox, as my sister was repiercing her belly button. He made a prediction, stating that I'd be back. Odd to say. The very next weekend, I was in, getting my first tattoo, who had been done by Lisa Harrison, who also worked at the old shop. It's been nearly 17 years and, with the exception of 3 of my tattoos, the other 24 had been done in Mikey's shop. He's always friendly, courteous, and kind. Always willing to strike up a conversation while the electric needle is going, and he's been very reasonable for as long as I've known him. A great artist and an even better friend. Once he inks you, you're family. Highly recommended, always clean, sterilize the hell out of everything. If you go on a Saturday, call first to check his availability. I visited this establishment with my child, and I inquired whether they perform eyebrow piercings on 14-year-olds. The staff member initially confirmed this over the phone. However, after we arrived and completed the necessary paperwork, he later stated that he does not perform piercings for 14-year-olds. My child was disappointed by this contradiction. read more

Based on favorable reviews, I went to Main Line Tattooing to get my earlobes pierced, first piercings, most basic type, I would think. I told Mike exactly where I wanted the holes; he made marks and showed me for my OK. One he hit and the other he missed, although not by a lot. Worse still, the holes are at an angle. The hole exits the back of my earlobe lower than where it is in front, so you can see the backings of all studs, and you can tell that the studs are at a 45 degree angle. The place is sanitary, and he is easy to talk to, but won't be going back, have to see someone else about new holes that look right. read more

This tattoo shop is the best! I wish I knew the name of the guy that does earrings. He is so polite! He helped me take the earrings out right before my surgery and put them back in without any attitude or anything! I was so nervous that he was gonna be mad or upset that I wasn't coming in for a sale, but he was completely courteous and friendly! On top of great staff, it's the cleanest shop that I have ever seen! He uses gloves, and the tools are always sanitized! He did that for the piercings on the outer conch and also front facing helix! On top of that he completely fast! I had to do my outer conch twice, the first time I was at a different place that took close to an hour and a half and hurt like hell! I can tolerate pain, but I was flinching and I was bleeding so much my friend passed out from the blood gushing. My other friend had recommended this place and it has been an amazing experience. I think the guy at main line tattoo took maybe 6 minutes total with preparation to do all 6 piercings! When I originally got the earrings, he made sure that there were no blood vessels so I wasn't bleeding out the wahzoo without me even mentioning my past experience! I came here with my mom less than two weeks ago to get my nose pierced with her. Since then, the jewelry has fallen out multiple times and I have even lost it because of how small it is. It's fallen out in my sleep and by the time I've woken up to notice it, the hole has already begun closing. The jewelry is a straight bar and has no curve or L shape to keep it within my nose. These similar things have happened to my moms piercing as well. I've had to order a new stud with a curve so I can stop constantly worrying if the jewelry will stay in my nose. The jewelry they use sucks and I don't recommend. However, the man was very nice and the place was sanitized. read more

I've been going to Main Line Tatooing for 20 years. Michael (the owner/operator/artist) did my very first tattoo back in 1997 and I've gone back for many more tattoos and a navel piercing. Michael is a fantastic artist. He will work with you for as long as it takes to design your tattoo exactly how you want it. He is a funny guy and will put you at ease while you get inked/pierced. His studio is small, but immaculately clean. What's most important is the quality of the work. I'm 100% satisfied with all my ink & piercing. Can't say enough good things about Michael and his shop! As a courtesy to him, I always pay in cash, but he does accept cards. I came here for a piercing. It's a small place that you could easily miss driving down Route 30. I actually have many times but they were quick, friendly and reasonably priced. I got my tragus done for $50 including the jewelry-I opted for the hoop. They have a sign up that they prefer cash. I didn't have any on me but there were no complaints when I used my card. They made sure that I was comfortable and able to drive before I left. Overall a very good experience. read more

This place is everything I wanted it to be and more! My friend and I came here for piercings and both of us could not be happier with our results. We were so kindly greeted when we entered the door and proceeded to tell the woman at the front desk what we were looking for. I was interested in a cartilage piercing and my tragus, and my friend was interested in a nose piercing. All three procedures were as pleasant and painless as possible. Everything was clean and quick. The workers were extremely knowledgable and were sure to answer any questions we had. We paid in cash as they prefer cash over credit/debit. The woman at the front desk kept checking in on my friend and I to make sure we were feeling alright and were able to drive after the procedures.
