During the consultation she was patient with my requests. She created an exceptional tattoo based on a very poor sketch (I'm not an artist by any means), and was kind and understanding during the two sessions it took to complete the tattoo, explaining what she did and why. The tattoo came out better than I expected precisely because Morpheus added details it never would have occurred to me to ask for; the moon looks like a moon with shading to represent valleys and craters; there's depth to the metal details on the shield and there's actually woodgrain on the wooden parts of the shield. You see, I've studied Ancient Egyptian history, art, and culture for as long as I can remember, and I wanted someone to reproduce a few pages of papyrus from the Book of the Dead depicting the 42 Negative Confessions and the Weighing of the Heart ceremony. If you have any idea what that means, you'll know how intricate and downright freakin' cool a tattoo this is, and how hard it was to find someone to do it right. I first talked with her about the idea at Black and Blue, and we settled into a series of sessions, 3 hours or so each every 6 weeks, and 9 months later, I have what I'm pretty sure is the most awesome tattoo in the world. She really worked with me on each element of the design and gave it the respect it deserved. I can't recommend Morpheus enough if you need something precise, spiritual, or ancient.
