Went in today for nipple piercings and Jessica was the one to do it. My sister got her septum done. Jessica made such a calming and relaxed atmosphere. She is so honest and very knowledgeable. I was going to go in for an appointment to do an art consultation today...my artist was an hour late to the appointment with no excuse or reason as to why. When we did get down to business about talking as to what the tattoo was going to be, she seemed bored by everything I had to say and distracted by the other people in the shop. On top of that, the piece she estimated to be 5 hours to get done, at 150 dollars an hour. That's wayyyy expensive for what I was asking. I was so disappointed that I just chose to eat the 40 dollars just to TALK to her and go elsewhere for my bodywork. I can't say it was a good experience. read more

Jamie Davies did my tattoo and I love it! I personally like that he didn't talk too much because it made me feel like he was focusing on his work more than what my favorite thing to do was. It was easy to make a schedule and communicating with everyone in the office about what I wanted and where. The only thing I have to criticize about was Jamie was a little rough with the clean up; but at the same time I had just sat for a tattoo on the ribs for 4+ hours and I was going into shock from the natural pain of being tattoos. Even still, Jamie did tell me that I did better than most, which makes me feel good, even if it wasn't true lol. I would recommend Tattoos Ink to everyone. read more

I used to go to Lethal Injection when Jessica worked there, as soon as I found out she was here I had to come in! I only got pierced by her once, but as soon as I walked through the door it was as if we were best friends. We talked solely for 30 minutes about random things in the room while she was setting everything up. I've never felt so accepted in my life by any other piercer, she makes sure you know about the process and talks you through it. We cracked jokes the whole time and then she took my picture afterwards which has never happened to me either. Don't even think twice about getting a piercing elsewhere. Jessica is a goddess! She made my piercing(s) last weekend such an amazing and easy experience. I was a little nervous going in just because of the piercing anticipation but the second I walked in the door I felt so comfortable with Jessica. She explains everything she is doing, very clean, and doesn't leave you in the dark about anything. The artwork done by Aaron is fantastic. But do not go there unless you want to be ripped off. I was quoted $150 and when he was done I was charged $ 280. Keep in mind he was only tracing over my existing tattoo that had faded from another shop. My appointment time was for 11 and he didn't show up until 11:45. I was charged starting at 11. I was also charged for his smoke breaks to meet with the guy fixing his windshield. He charges $ 150 an hour. The work( not including his lateness and breaks) took about an hour....how did we get to $280!? Never again will I go back. read more

I went to get my first tattoo in November of 2010 at tattoos ink, I was told there were good artists there which was true my tattoo came out great but the artist was quiet barely talked didn't even introduce himself to me. The other guys in the shop didn't greet you wen u came in the door. When my tattoo was finished my artist handed me a small bottle of oil but offered no directions on after care, being my first tattoo i had to ask when and how often to use it. Iv went with other friends to get tattoos and piercings and at other shops they were much more friendly and had actual print out instructions on how to take care of your tattoo/piercing, and were encouraged to call if they had any questions or concerns. I experienced nothing like this at tattoos ink. The whole ambiance of the place wasn't welcoming but maybe I caught em on a bad day. read more

I've been going to Tattooz Ink since they first opened next to Gottschalks. My first tattoo ever was done by Aaron; I was quoted reasonably and he didn't go over. The process was interesting, I didn't have a lot of questions, but he kept me informed anyways and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. I was sent home with aftercare products and procedures which was great! Next, I've had multiple piercings done by both Al (who doesn't work there anymore) and by Jesse. Both guys were great, my piercings, to this day look and feel great. They are still my go-shop for body jewelry, I won't go anywhere else. My last tattoo was done by the owner, Jamie Davies. He is a true artist. I have much respect for him, his talent and his shop. He free handed all of my artwork (which only a true artist can do) it was flawless. It's been 5 years and the color retention has been amazing. No fading whatsoever. Not to mention he has an incredibly light hand, I actually fell asleep during parts of my service. I really appreciated that he didn't talk at me the whole time. It was very zen. Now, I see many reviews on here of people complaining about the pricing... All I have to say is you get what you pay for. I have no problem paying $150 or more an hour for completely flawless work done in a steril shop by a true artist. Jamie gets done in one hour, what other "wannabe tattooists" get done in 6. My art healed quickly and to this day is as bright and beautiful as the day it was done. Mind you I am only speaking for the two who I have had work done by. I'm sure the others are great too, I don't think Jamie would hire less, but my experience is with Jamie and Aaron for tattoo work. My wife called Tattoz ink on 5/27/2012 about 2:00 pm to book an appt for 5/28/2012 at 11:30 am.. We were both going to get matching tattoos. She was so excited that she DIDNT TELL ME she had booked the appt or that they had talked her into giving her debit card and charged her $100. I was reluctant to go there because I have been there before and already wear some of their less than fantastic work on my body (a wedding present for my wife a few years ago). DEFINETELY NOT THE GREATEST WORK. She called to cancel about an hour or two later and was told that she had to give at least a 24 hour notice to cancel. That was impossible since the appt was booked around 2:00 pm for a next day 11:30 am appt.(please note that They actually ran the card at 17:45 pm PST (5:45pm) ) My wife was NEVER TOLD that there was actually NO cancellation when she booked the appt. She was told that someone had to make the appt and that it was her fault and that she was RETARDED. Explain the receptionist saying that to her !!! I called myself and the boy on the phone TOLD ME that they were like doctors, either make the appt or be charged. LIKE DOCTORS !!!! REALLY !!!.He said to me, " WE ARE A *ucking TATOO STUDIO, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT !" He wouldnt even give me his name. WOW !!! He wouldnt tell me his name! I guess he was ashamed to be working there. He TOLD ME that she should have known about their cancellation policy since it was on their website. She didnt book from their website, dummy, but rather by telephone. Super poor customer service. It wouldnt have actually cost them a dime but I suppose that the tattoo world, at least at TATTOZ INK, struggles for every single penny. In a perfect world I would be allowed without repercussion to skin him alive and wear his pelt as a cape, yet alas, that is not the case. We have already instituted a charge back issue with our bank. We'll see how that goes. Anyway,,, Lets just say "CAVEAT EMPTOR , buyer beware !!". Paying for a tattoo, even a legitimate one with a debit/credit card is probably LIKE BUYING DRUGS with one, just not a really good idea. If they will treat me and my wife this way, imagine how they will treat you or someone you care about. I highly reccommend that you stay away from Tattoz Inc. This review is for body piercings, I've never had a tattoo there. Very clean shop, the piercers are skilled. To be honest, it's not my first choice in piercing shops just because of the attitude of some of the staff. Not everyone is a people person, and that's perfectly okay. It's just some of the staff here make me a little uncomfortable. If it weren't for some of the intimidating and off-putting staff, I'd give this place 5 stars. The sterilization, cleanliness, and services are top notch. As far as safe piercings go, you could certainly do a lot worse. But customer service is a big thing for me. read more

The piercings are fine; nothing wrong with the quality or sterility. I don't know about tattoos. However the atmosphere is severely lacking. The majority of the staff is not all that friendly and appear to be a bit condescending. To me, this is unacceptable. I had a real nice tattoo done by a woman about 1 year ago, after 3-4 months parts of it started to fade out, i returned to them and explained the prob, was told that the girl who did the work no longer worked there and they said they would not do the required touch up. Then they told me that she was a contract worker and it was her responsibility for the repairs. But they would not tell me how to get in touch with her. VERY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES!!! Came into town for the Roses & Rust market & decided it was a good weekend for a tattoo! Met with Ron, good guy & excellent service. Provided him everything he needed to work up a sketch for the next day & the required 100$ deposit. The shop was excellently cleaned, well lite & filled with steady years of awards. The following day my appointment went well! Ron was very professional even as I realized a foot tattoo was no joke! Ouch!! His lines were clean & crisp, colors popped & it look him around 90 mins :) I'm pleased with my sushi roll tattoo & he was fair on the price too! Came in under my quoted price! Had my first tattoo done here in 2013 and over a year later love it just as much as the day I got it. I was nervous not only because it was my first tattoo but because the placement, 2 symbols on my chest (rebel alliance and Galactic Empire) the artist made sure that the symbols were balanced and did an excellent job with placement. As far as price, I rather pay a little extra for something of quality than get it done cheaply for low quality somewhere else, I am a thrifty person but not when it comes to something that will be on my body for the rest of my life. Just had a re-do of a 30 year old eagle tattoo and couldn't be happier. I'd put it off for years because I wasn't exactly sure where I wanted to go with it. Finally sucked it up and stopped by to get a feel for the place and the artists. Everyone was great and helpful and I got an appointment in 2 days. I'd originally wanted Jamie for the piece (recommended by a friend who's had a lot of work done by him) but was set up with Jeanie Newby. With what little information I was able to give her regarding what I wanted, Jeanie nailed it! My family and I can't believe how well it turned out! I'm comfortable now with this re-do being the center of a larger piece on my right arm and will ask Jeanie to do it. I plan on a tie-in piece on the left side which I plan on asking Jamie to do. February 2nd 2017 me and my Bestfriend made appointments to get matching tattoos at TATOOS INK paid a $100 deposit and were sooooooo excited to go! Once we arrived we started talking to Ken who was immediately rude just saying little digs and not friendly at all. Like I understand people have bad days but come on we showed him our tattoo and he told us how that font wouldn't work and we couldn't get those tattoos we decided to trust the artist and tried to find a different font we told him to just do something similar and we would tell him if we liked it once he came out he showed us the most awful font that looked nothing like what we wanted we told him that was t exactly what we were looking for and he looked at us and said why don't you find a exactly what you want and come back since YOUR SO PARTICULAR! Let me remind you that he is talking so rude to us girls that are so friendly to him finally I said SORRY BUT I AM PARTICULAR THIS IS GOING ON MY BODY FOREVER and you showed us one font example and are mad. Got my first tattoo by these buys because 'they were the best in town'. Got a Celtic knot tattoo which I will say first that it is 'OK' but that is all. Took 7 hours, could have been 2 hours if the guy didnt spent so much time at smoke breaks and bullshitting with the other people in the shop. Dont get me wrong, I used to smoke, I understand. Also, appointment was for I think 11 AM, he was 1 1/2 hours late. Very uninterested in his customer, despite the fact that I paid almost $950 for the work. Honestly, I would not recommend these guys though my uncle had had them do I think 5 and he loves all of them. I had to go back for touch ups as after the healing he missed numerous lines. Also, the color never came through right. Lots of missed areas. Honestly I think it should have been a $150 work. I would go elsewhere. read more

Went to get a cover up tattoo which I really like now it looks way better. I was quoted 100 for the tattoo but it took a half-hour longer then he originally said and I was charged an extra 50 so I wasn't too happy they could at least say if it goes over time quoted you're gonna be charged between this amount or the other so be careful and bring extra cash. I took a chance they could accommodate a walk-in and was fortunate to speak with Ron. He had an hour open and went to work on my tatt. He was fast, precise and so detail oriented. Ken, my tattoo artist, took the idea that I had and made it even more beautiful. Ken was professional, courteous and patient me. If your tattoo needs a touch up make sure you call asap! I am disappointed. A tattoo I got took a good two months to heal because it was on my bra strap. I live out of town so I stopped by to get it fixed finally and they want to charge me for a regular tattoo. Horrible customer service. Alright so, I just wanna start off by saying that I love the artists' work here and my first piercing experience wasn't bad at all! However, I went in to get my piercing removed today and I wanted to switch it to one of my rings hat I bought elsewhere(it was surgical steel and all the goodies)...And honestly, the guy(I won't name names because I don't know if I should) was really rude and it totally ruined my experience. I told him that it had been just about six months since I got it pierced, and was about to show him the ring I wanted to replace it with when he told me they were "costume jewelry", "garbage", and he wouldn't "put that in my body". He also said that it probably hadn't been six months yet which is fine, assumptions can be fine, except that I've been hard core tracking time since I got it done and have been really excited to change it out. I did my time! I've decided to go elsewhere to have it removed since it didn't work out here. It's true Jamie is the best in town, but that's if you can get an appointment with him. I've gotten two tattoos here, the first was done by Jamie (skull and cross bones with on my thigh), and he did an amazing job. I get compliments on it all the time. The line work on it is so clean, people always ask me if it is a stamp. Lol. Anyway, the second was done by another artist (because the wait for Jamie was a few months out) and it turned out okay, but definitely not the same quality. Wish I would've waited the couple of months. Then I just tried to make an appointment to get another 2 small tattoo's and was told by the booking girl that Jamie was only taking portfolio pieces. So there's no getting in with him, even if I wanted to wait it out six months, unless he deems your piece portfolio worthy. Hm..maybe I am just being crabby because my birthday tattoo dreams were dashed but still..seems condescending..Guess I can't say I blame him with the work he does, but still disappointing.
