The reason for the reduced rating is the pricing. The quoted cost to replace a shower valve and raise a shower head exceeded $1,500, even though I had already supplied the valve. Fortunately, I was able to take advantage of a military discount, which brought the cost to about 1,350.00. While I was satisfied with the service and workmanship, I found the original price to be extremely high for the scope of the work. Costs like these are one of the reasons many homeowners are increasingly choosing to learn and tackle projects themselves rather than hiring professionals.
