Great Internal Medicine Doctor…read more I've been seeing Dr. Mora since 2009 where he helped me out a great deal. Since then he's moved locations to the building down the street, the office is bigger and more updated that his previous location. The staff is REALLY friendly, instead of calling me to the window for my information the receptionist walked out with a clipboard and handed it to me while taking my insurance card and picture ID. Seldom have I ever seen this happen at a doctor's office. I arrived 15 mins before my appointment and was out in an hour and a half, which was great, they don't double book. I was called in 30 mins after check in, the nurse took my vitals and weighed me. The ONLY thing that sucked was the blood pressure machine (automatic one) it has a death grip! Very friendly nurse, everyone knows how much it sucks to be weighed... It's like you're being put on trial, any ways she was super relaxed and chill. I was put in the room to wait for the doctor, roughly 10-15 mins later he came in. Dr. Mora is very thorough and spends a great deal of time with each patient. He's very caring and offers alternatives to whatever your ailment is. Check out is a breeze since everything is digital he had all my prescriptions ready to go as soon as he exited the room.

This practice operates under Dr. Lagrono's name, but prospective patients should be aware that they…read moremay never actually see Dr. Lagrono. My care was handled by Dr. Santos. My experience felt rushed and overly "lean," with several procedural and administrative issues that ultimately caused unnecessary stress, expenses, and lost time. During my visit, I requested preventive bloodwork and was met with resistance. Although this may have been a communication or language-barrier issue, it seemed that the extent of the preventive testing I requested--even though it was covered by insurance--was viewed unfavorably. The process of entering the orders and applying the necessary Z-codes appeared burdensome, and I was left with the impression that preventive testing beyond the bare minimum was discouraged rather than supported. More concerning was my EEG experience. The electrode clips appeared to have been placed incorrectly, resulting in questionable readings and an alarming discussion of possible abnormalities. This created significant anxiety and led to a referral to a cardiologist, which involved additional appointments, costs, and copays. If an EEG technician is performing a procedure that is a routine part of their job, proper placement of the equipment should not be optional or treated as a minor oversight. The office also submitted an incorrect laboratory order to Quest Diagnostics that included a spinal tap order. Correcting this error required multiple phone calls, coordination with Quest, and several unnecessary trips back and forth. I spent hours ensuring the incorrect orders were removed, additional testing was properly ordered, and that the laboratory had the documentation necessary to perform the requested tests. Some tests could not even be collected because the correct orders were not in place. I was also met with resistance when attempting to have bloodwork performed approximately six months after my annual physical. If a patient wishes to monitor their health more closely and keep laboratory work current, that should be a collaborative discussion. Instead, I was given the impression that annual testing was the only acceptable schedule, regardless of individual preferences or preventive health goals. Any one of these issues might have been an innocent mistake. However, when taken together--questionable EEG administration, incorrect laboratory orders, repeated administrative errors, unnecessary travel and phone calls to correct those errors, and resistance to reasonable preventive care requests--the experience fell well below my expectations. The issues surrounding the six-month laboratory testing request ultimately cost the practice a patient. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office.

Another thing that irritated was the fact that he charges a $50 fee upfront to see him. He doesn't run insurance unless labs and other things are needed which made me even more irritated. However once I actually went in and saw him, I was so pleased! Dr. Issa listened to everything that I had to say and was patient with me. I did not feel rushed or just a another to patient to him. His bed manner is exceptionally. I have raved about him to my mom and others. I love that certain things are readily accessible within his office and doesn't require prescriptions or orders to outside labs. I also love that apart of the yearly check ups with him includes things like EKGs and certain blood work. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I can't say enough about Dr. Issa.
