When she showed up for the day of the wedding, she was prepared and professional and definitely knew how to handle two anxious grooms who were running around making sure everything was good for the festivities. My partner and I just let Stephanie take the reins for how our photos were done, and I'm sure she would have preferred a *little* guidance, we're so glad we did, because her ideas were better than anything we could have come up with. Also, having that list of group shots was so important, because it made taking pictures with all of our family and friends fly by. We interviewed a handful and felt an instant connection. Not only is she super professional and great at what she does, she makes being photographed fun and easy! For our engagement photos she made both of us feel super comfortable not only in front of the camera, but also packing on the PDA at Sculpture Park lol. The photos were fantastic and really did capture who we are as a couple! Fast forward to our wedding. She was super organized, able to keep our family in line (it can be like herding cats) but most importantly, she was super inclusive to all of our family and friends. We were referred to Jenn Tai by our wedding planners. We spent $4,410 for 6 hours of wedding day…read morecoverage with 1 photographer. Our photographer was Kelly Bowie. From the moment Kelly arrived at our wedding it felt like amateur hour. Even though we met with her in advance of our wedding and sent all the details in writing, she "forgot" pretty much everything we discussed. For example, Kelly forgot to bring the list of family groupings for the family photos. Kelly also forgot that we needed seating for disability accommodations during the family photos and chose a location that required our elderly and disabled guests to walk down a hill and then stand outside in the August heat for almost an hour with no place to sit. Additionally, during the ceremony Kelly's presence was very distracting. We were in a small greenhouse with multiple entrances where she could have easily walked around the guests to get from one point to another but instead she walked down the aisle and in front of our guests multiple times during the ceremony. If it's possible, when we received the photos we were even more disappointed in Jenn Tai Photography. There was a real lack of attention to detail that was visible in the photos and that you expect a professional photographer to be aware of. For example, in several of the photos you can see phones visible in pockets, hand sanitizer clipped to belts, etc. Also, some of the key photos were overexposed and as a result faces or images were so light that detail was lost. We brought a lot of these issues to the attention of the company owner, Jenn, who did her best to address our concerns during post-production editing. Jenn's customer service was great and we know that she worked hard to try to correct the issues. Thank you, Jenn, for doing your best to fix our photos. Overall, we're still not happy with most of our wedding photos, but thanks primarily to Jenn's post-production work we have a small percentage of wedding photos that we love and will cherish.

As it turns out, they're also award-winning photographers. For almost 1/2 to 1/3 the price of other wedding photographers, I got 2 photographers and 4 hours work (at the wedding and reception site) from them. They used professional digital cameras, were willing to do some retouching and provided a proof book and cd's of all the photos. They also provided black and white and sepia toned photos, along w/ color photos. They were incredibly easy to work with. They listened to our particular needs and were very responsive regarding emails and voice mails. I definitely recommend them and look forward to using them as our family grows (for portraits).

I love the photojournalist style of photography they use (candids vs a lot of posed shots). Their style really reflected their name. We rarely noticed them that day. We did our posed shots before the ceremony and then they just let the day flow. When we got our CD of photos we were blown away! They did an incredible job coming up with artistic posed shots and getting candids that truly captured the spirit of the day and the personality of our friends and family. Everyone loves the photos we put on Facebook (they give a CD with all your pictures-both in high resolution for printing and smaller ones for social media). We are planning on ordering a large canvas and photo book in the coming months. Can't wait to have the pictures in print. :)

She was scheduled to fly out to CA at the end of the week and only had 1 day to shoot my maternity photos. I couldn't book the photos any later because I was already 37 weeks. The day we booked was gloomy. She had planned to scout a location the next day but switched her schedule to get our photos done. The day turned out to be sunny and amazing! The photos were incredible because she was flexible with her schedule despite it being tight! 2) Again her photos are amazing. She has a great eye and is artistic. She captured many amazing photos of us! She knew the perfect angles, the best lighting, and where to go in Seattle for the best moments to capture. 3) Her price is very reasonable for the quality and experience she gave us. I paid a lot more for photos in Paris that do not compare! 4) She is very personable and easy to get along with. 5) She gets sneak peeks to you the very next day and the rest of the photos were guaranteed in 2 weeks but she got them to us in like a week! 6) She knows her limits. A lot of photographers out there overbook themselves and can't make deadlines. She takes her time to provide quality edited photos and again..she got them to us before the 2 week mark. Going back to the photos from Paris...it took them almost 3 months to get all the final edited photos to us. 7) I will definitely use her again. I've recommended her to friends.
