She made every moment of our day look like a fairytale while having to shoot in so many unique lighting situations at our outdoor event. All the while, she made it seem so easy. Vera took our engagement photos earlier this month. We were looking for a mix of urban and green, and out of the several combinations Vera suggested, we decided on Volunteer Park and Capitol Hill. We were super lucky to get a sunny day in Seattle, and per Vera's suggestion, we ended up also going to a third location, Jose Rizal Bridge, just as the sunset hit. Even though we chose a package that was up to two hours and two locations, Vera spent almost three hours with us between these three locations, and we were super grateful for her time. My fiance and I don't have a lot of pictures together and were feeling awkward getting nice pictures taken of us, but Vera made us feel comfortable, semi-directing us into poses, sometimes letting us loose, or sometimes we'd do a variation of what she'd ask us to do and she'd be like, "Wait, I like that!". It was like walking around Seattle and hanging out with a friend with a really great eye for lighting and backdrop. She sent us three photos as a sneak peek after the shoot, which we totally fell in love with, and a week later, the rest of the gloriously beautiful ~130 photos that made us melt. The lighting, the colors, the overall look, how we looked--we are obsessed with her artistic style. Highly recommend Vera for engagement photos! I hired Vera for my best friend's wedding as a wedding present. I chose her based on the strength of her portfolio; I felt like her pictures really reflected the personalities of her clients, and they were gorgeous, too. I didn't regret it. She was incredibly pleasant to work with. She was really engaged in the process, getting information from my friend ahead of time, figuring out the details, going that extra mile. She had a meeting with them ahead of time to work out what they really needed. She was a joy to work with on the day of, very warm and polite. Guests kept telling me and my friend how much they liked her. She made sure to accommodate the couple's requests for pictures, even when the pictures were going to be complicated to set up (they wanted a picture with all the guests at once). She presented herself very professionally, and even wore their wedding colors! The pictures ended up being great, well worth her rates, which honestly I think are a bit low--I think she's undercharging. For a bride on a budget (or any bride), I would definitely recommend her. She went above and beyond to ensure that we were all happy. I would definitely hire her again. I wish I could give Vera 10 stars. She is absolutely fantastic and incredibly talented. We initially hired Vera to do our engagement photos. We loved them so much that we hired her for our wedding and she flew to California for our big day. My husband and I were both nervous about being in front of the camera, but she made the whole thing feel so easy and natural. Our puppy, who was 6 months old at the time, and very rambunctious, was in our engagement photos and Vera did such a good job capturing her energy as well as ours. On our wedding day, Vera was absolutely flawless. I was nervous and anxious and Vera was a calming force. She ran the show and made sure we were in the right place at the right time. She was constantly snapping photos but it didn't feel intrusive or invasive. It was like she was another guest at our party! She has a vision and she goes with it. We have some great classic wedding shots along with some incredible shots that have an artsy flair. At one point Vera was laying flat on the ground snapping photos so that she could get a great angle. I would recommend Vera to absolutely everyone! Vera took our engagement photos. Neither one of us enjoy having our picture taken, so we were nervous about looking bizarre or cheesy. Vera immediately put us at ease. After talking together, we asked Vera for something moody and a bit editorial, and she delivered. Some of the things that we appreciated the most: - she provided us with a Pinterest of outfit ideas so that our outfits would complement each other but not blend together - she was very familiar with different areas and made suggestions that empowered us to choose the best location - on site, she was relaxed and helped us to pose without looking too "posed" - there's a 15 inch height difference between us, and I was worried about us looking too "distant" from each other in the pictures. Vera was able to position us so that we didn't look miles apart! - great turn around time, and a ton of photos to choose from! We also received our photos in both color and black and white, which was a pleasant surprise. It was great working with Vera and we happily recommend her. read more

Vera is incredible! She is responsive, timely, fun to work with and talented! We hired her for our wedding last year and had a blast working with her! She takes amazing photos and helps you stay within your timeline. We ran behind schedule, which gave us less time for photos, but she helped keep the stress at bay and still got us amazing photos! The candid photos she captured at our wedding were incredible too, she really knows how to capture those special moments and the joy of the day. Our wedding was indoors and had a lot of low-light that can by tricky to take photos in, but it didn't affect the quality of our photos one bit! Let me start by saying that Vera has photographed me at two VERY different points in my life. The first time she photographed me, she made me feel comfortable in front of the camera, a first for me at 19. Vera has a natural way about her that, arguably, makes her the easiest photographer I've ever worked with. Vera did a session for me to update my online dating profile photos. Vera is such a pro and takes such great pictures. The thing I appreciated the most was how what I anticipated to be an awkward photo session turned into an afternoon with someone who felt more like a friend than a hired pro.
