The quintessential neighborhood sports bar. Drinks are solid, great team of bartenders. The food is good, and the prices are reasonable. I'd skip the fish and chips - fish was a bit soggy. Gluten free pizza is very good, and the spicy buffalo southern fried chicken sandwich is my fave! read more

Descent traditional pub/bar food. They have a couple of specialty dishes which were not bad, just not amazing. Our waitress was polite and fast, very cordial. The service alone was enough to come back. My wife and I came with our 1 year old. The server/ bartender opened up a closed section and allowed us to sit there since we had a little one. From there she was very attentive. Gave great recommendations and personable. I forgot her name, but she had glasses and worked Sunday 6/23. Food: everything we got was well seasoned and fresh. I got the seafood mix with calamari, shrimp. And fried green beans. The calamari was tender and didn't need to hide behind a sauce(which also was good). We also got the limited time Lobster roll and my wife got a burger. My wife is coined the burger queen and she said this one was amazing. The lobster roll was good for $23. Could've used a little more lobster but was very good. The spaghetti was enough to feed two kids. I had a dirty martini which was very well made. My wife had a margarita with patron. Very good but on the pricier side at 15.99. It was made with patron, but usually they are around 12 in our area. So much on this menu we want to try. We'll be back next week for sure. read more

I've been here numerous times. As a western NY fan homer, so good to see the Bills represented. They redid the menus looks fancy and updated for those who are interested. Mostly I'm here to get my drinks so I don't eat much. Did see they got rid of the large pretzel which made me sad but obviously I'm one customer. Kate was our bartender last night, super kind and friendly. We got everything we needed and enjoyed the evening. Tavern At Medlock The owner is is a complete ass. I called on three separate occasions asking if all of the tables were reserved for game day. I was told "We do not accept reservations". I informed the lady that every time I'm there , there are numerous tables reserved and she stated "Yeah we have some reserved" but the rest are first come first served. I said so there are tables thay do not have reservations. She said yes. I showed up and there were maybe 15-29 people in the entire restaurant yet EVERY table had a reserved sign. I asked to speak to the owner or manger and he told me "He could not help it". I said I get it. It's your restaurant, you want to reserve every table that's your right BUT SAY THAT. I drove over from Buford. So he asked how many people I had, I told him 3 and he suggested I wait to see which of his reservations didn't show up. What a complete joke. I was a weekly regular at this location. I ordered the same thing every time I came. Sometimes, it would be prepared perfectly and some times it was burned and cold. In those cases I would send it back. My last visit, I was asked to consider not ordering what I like because they don't want to prepare it properly. Instead of making a point to serve customers fresh, hot food they would rather ask you not to order it. Very disappointed in them and will not be returning. This was my third visit while in the area for work. I had a moderately priced sandwich and fries for dinner. The food was good. The bar tender was cordial and attentive. However, the mixed drinks are way over priced all three visits: $9 for a Captain Morgan and Coke, $13 for a Bourbon Old Fashioned. We visited the Tavern early on a beautiful Friday night. The outdoor seating was packed, so we grabbed a table inside near the bar. The bar did a brisk business, and what appeared to be an alcohol promoter made the rounds spreading cheer and merchandise. Patrons inside the restaurant were sparse on such a beautiful day, as everyone was trying to soak up the sun on the patio. This was our first time visiting, but based on how well patrons seemed to know the staff, I would guess this is a spot where locals who live or work in the area hang out. Servers were all smiles. Service was not fast. We had time to relax, chat, and enjoy each other's company. We started out with the chips with blue cheese and sriracha. The chips were homemade with a good crisp bite. The blue cheese was more of a dressing, with few chunks of actual cheese, and the sriracha reminded me more of buffalo sauce. But it was a good start. For dinner, we had a burger, a reuben, and a kid's chicken tenders. All were okay, with perhaps my favorite being the chicken tenders (I hate it when my toddler out-orders me! I've been here a few times now. Very popular location for both the lunch crowds and the after work crowds. Whether it be the food or the alcohol, Tavern at Medlock is great for either of those options. It's fairly decent size and seating arrangements are big and ample enough for a large amount of people. You can either grab a booth/table or just pull up a stool at the bar that center the establishment. There a few flat screens and a large projector screen that usually displays which ever sporting event is on at the time. Great place to go if you need a spot to watch the game at. The food here is mainly American food, like burgers, steak, wings, pizza, etc. All good food that definitely fills you up. Portions for some options are more than you can ask for. The biggie calzone is the size of newborn baby, most people end up take that home due to them not being able to finish it. You'll be good with most of the options on the menu, it's not overly expensive and you get about as good as you would anywhere else that similar. To sum it all up. The Tavern is great place to relax, hang out, eat, and have a beer. That's pretty much the American dream! I agree with K.P. They used to have a bartender, who was very attentive and efficient and seemed to have eyes in the back of her head. She seemed to know when you wanted another drink, even before you did. Now, the girls seem to spend more time taking care of one section of the bar. And the ignored section, after waiting and waiting with an empty glass have to wave and draw attention to themselves just to be waited on. The Tavern at Medlock is a favorite lunch spot for my office. The food and service are outstanding. Several co-workers rave about the burgers which I have not tried yet but I can vouch for the calzone, quesadilla and beef on weck. My office held their Christmas party at the Tavern and it was a huge success. Management was very accommodating, the wait staff was great and the buffet was top notch.
