Children's Steak and Fries (listed on menu as steak and mashed potatoes)

Family and I used Open Table to make a Sunday evening dinner reservation. It worked like a charm and we were notified via text that our table was ready sooner than our reserved time. Super appreciative of such technology. Parking was plentiful when we got there and we were able to park right next to the patio and front door. The immediate parking lot is kind of small and shared with some other establishments, but there is plenty of other parking in connecting lots around the establishment. So no worries if you don't get as lucky as we do. The hostess was very pleasant and offered either indoor or outdoor seating. It was a rainy day so we opted for inside to be on the safe side (the patio is covered though, so no worries if that's your preference). Our server Nicholas was super polite and helpful. He explained the menu and abbreviations to my party with suffient detail. The food was cooked to perfection and served at the perfect temperature. We'll definitely return based on the stellar hospitality!

This is one of our go tos but our last experience wasn't as good. The inside was extremely cold! They need to turn the air down. But usually that's the kitchen because they are hot the restaurant suffers. Ordered a wedge salad to split and a margarita. The wedge was so huge so literally could feed a table for 4. Order the ribeye, brussel sprouts and corn gasm. The ribeye was very fatty and had a pile of fat that was 1/2 of the steak. My husband likes the coffee rub but it was too much. The sides are considerably smaller than the many times we come before. We came for my husband's birthday and they gave us the brownie with ice cream gratis but we took the coconut cream pie home. Excellent pie! I hope they read this and make a few changes.

March 14 2026 - First burger of Explore Gwinnett 2026 #GwinnettBurgerWeek and it was a really good one from Uncle Jack's Meat House in Duluth by the Arena. Prices this year increased by $2 which is reasonable but I am never a fan of built in gratuity unless it's for large parties especially when the server forgets about your table. One of the staff said it was because of burger week. The Gruyère Croissant Smash burger description was: A gourmet beef patty, gruyere cheese crisp, American cheese, caramelized onions, bacon-onion jam, and sriracha aioli. Does actual burger look enough like the promo burger photo? My burger was not smashed but Carol's was as you see by the difference in the buns as she cut hers in half.

We tried this place before attending a covert at Gas South arena. Atmosphere and service was Great !! Food was below par for a steakhouse where the bill was $155 for family of 4 (2adults, 2 kids) with no alcohol. My wife's hamburger was very good. My French dip was quite greasy so only 1/2 was eaten. But the real disappointment was my son's meal. We ordered a $47 filet for his birthday and over 1/2 the serving was pure Fat. Definitely a miss by the restaurant here.

Had a great experience here. The staff was excellent, from the hostess to our server. It is a very cool space, lots of things to look at while waiting for your meal. The food was excellent. We started with the sticky ribs, they slid right off the bone. They had great flavor with a nice sweetness to them. My wife got the Caesar with grilled chicken. It is basically a full head of romaine and she said she could tell that the dressing was house made. I got the Jack Pot and a side of Brussels. The seafood was well cooked and the lemongrass broth that it came in was fantastic! The Brussels were perfectly cooked and the little Thai spice was a great addition!

Food was exceptional and delicious. Best breakfast around here. Service was great, speedy but not pushy. But always making sure you didn't need anything. Ambiance was like an industrial slaughterhouse, but in a clean & modern way. Very nicely put together. This was our first time attending here for brunch. Definitely coming back for dinner for there dry aged steaks.

This place always looks so small when you drive by & compared to the ones they used to have in PC & Lawrenceville, but it's bigger than expected. They had a fairly large outdoor patio with lots of fans. Service was excellent. We did have an issue with our steak, which is the first time ever cause we frequent this place but they offered a new one and took it off the check so they redeemed themselves. We will be back

3rd burger for Gwinnett Burger Week 2026. Their Burger was definitely 5 star absolutely delicious! The place was totally empty as you can see by the picture but we went at 4:00. If you can see the young lady looking at her phone that's the hostess and that's why I didn't give 5 stars for the whole experience bc she acted so frustrated that we even walked in. I even tried my best to engage with her but her attitude was still evident that she was not happy with doing her job...I would suggest that she not be the first face that greets customers bc she sure didn't give the impression that she wanted to be there. Now the bartender that was our 1st server was FANTASTIC! Friendly with a beautiful smile and made us feel very welcome. She said that it was shift change so another person would take her place and the next server was just as nice! Engaged in conversation about Burger Week and the Burger that they offered. Both of those ladies were fabulous at their jobs (the young lady hostess could learn a thing or two from both of them). We also had a young gentleman stop by to ask if we liked the Burger which of course what's not to like . First it's on a croissant, grilled onions, American cheese, beef patty, bnb pickles, Sriracha aioli and the highlight was a crispy gruyere slice of cheese! It was called The Gruyerè Croissant Smash burger and I sure wish it was on their regular menu because I can't stress enough how very good it was! Since the place was empty it was very quiet and looked extremely clean. The restroom was super clean. We left at 5:30 and people were being seated and there was at least 15 staff people so maybe something was going on at Gas South Arena? I highly recommend trying their Burger for Burger Week!

Wow! The food is so good. Patty was so helpful and attentive. Gave us recommendations and the bottomless is primo. As a New Yorker who brunches every weekend, this was definitely on the same level. 2 hours of fun and nonstop refills. The brisket and eggs was soo filling. The Biscuits are a must have. The passion fruit mimosas.... The best'Red Sangria was a close 2nd. I'll be coming back!

We got a free bread for being first time visitors.

We celebrated our one year anniversary here. Our server was kind and informative but not over barging. Even when he approached to check on us he realized I was still chewing and dismissed himself and said he would check back. I appreciated that. It rare to go out and have nothing to complain about. But that is the case here. Everything was phenomenal. I literally could not stop eating even though I was full. The sides are shareable we had the corn and brussel sprouts. OMG every bite was good. The steak was a char on the outside and perfect medium inside. We went with the seasonal peach cobbler for dessert (although my husband wanted the fan favorite coconut desert) I guess we'll have to visit again.

Visited about 3 months ago or so & i liked it a lot. The atmosphere is nice but went close to closing time. The service was great & so was the food. 7/10

    $44 filet.

If Jack was my uncle, my family would have disowned him! Mac n cheese was dry with no flavor, barely any of my family of 4 touched it. Giant cheesesticks were fast food quality. Just breaded cheese wedges. (Cheese should be ooey-gooey inside!) Filet mignon was just avg, def not worth $44 no sides. Texas Roadhouse's is better. Server recommended the filet over the smokehouse platter, but didn't elaborate why. I Tried giving her the benefit of the doubt (that she wasnt trying to pad her tip with the more expensive dish), but I don't see how the platter could have been more of a letdown than the filet. The garlic butter on it was good though. Do not recommend.

    Applewood Bacon

Attending a celebration of the mind with friends, I entered Uncle Jack's on a cold day to a warm welcome. The staff was nice from start to finish. We started our meal with the applewood bacon that's accompanied by peanut butter and maple syrup. It did have a nice smoky sweetness to it already. In my opinion, it needed nothing. The peanut butter and maple syrup was an ok addition but non necessary in my opinion. Everything don't have to go together. We came on a Sunday, and the mimosas were flowing for 2 hours. We ended up drinking 7 bottles. YIKES!!!! and yum! For my entree, I had the steak sandwich. Wow. The steak was medium, tender, cheese nicely melted, bread was crusty and the au jus was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich. I got a side of the Brussels and the could use some restoration. They were too roasted and a pool of "sweet" was settled in the bottom. Overall it was a good time, with good company, food and music. I will come again!

Ambiance was great, service acceptable, cubano sandwich not great - more pulled pork BBQ than cubabo, with bread that didn't support it.

My husband is gluten free and had no problem finding things to eat here! The thick cut bacon is a great GF option for an appetizer and steak and fries/potatoes is a fantastic choice for dinner. We did not try it, but I believe they had charcuterie…

The good parts didn't outweigh the not-so-good for me. 1. Located on the 9th floor of The Westin, BUT, parking is mad affordable, which is a big relief as usually hotel rooftops have a static valet parking fee for $25 or more. There is a garage right in front of the entrance and its 5 bucks for up to 4 hours. 2. Views - decent enough for the 9th floor, but mostly overlooks trees and some highways. There isn't much to actually look at as far as a skyline. I was here in the daytime though, maybe at night with whatever city lights coming in, it may be a lil more charming. 3. Ambience - the inside was really nice, the tables were big and seating was comfy, a combo of cushioned chairs and velvety booths or couches. nice decor, and the outside portion of the rooftop also seemed very spacious, with a big main area as well as seating & a few more tables down the side of the building. I went during the yacht rock brunch period, so there was a live DJ spinning old hits from the 70s/80s. the music was at a cool volume, not so loud that you can't hear anyone speak, but not too low like background music - loud enough that you feel like its okay to vibe out. 4. Food & Service - this is where it fell apart for me. when i was seated, it took about 15-20 minutes for my waitress to come and ask me what i wanted to drink. when she finally did, i realized this same woman had walked past me several times before, on the way to do nothing in particular. she didn't introduce herself but was polite. she brought out my coffee and took my order, it took an hour for my food to come out. and the place wasn't crowded. only 2 couples sitting outside and about 40% capacity ithe indoor section where I was. and the food was subpar. it all came out hot, BUT. chicken sausage was hard to bite because casing was burnt and tough. eggs were cooked with so much butter it just tasted like i was eating fluffy butter. biscuit was dry and couldn't possibly be homemade. 'parmesan potatoes' had a few sad dried dots of cheese and parsley but no seasoning whatsoever. i forced myself to eat about half. I live far from Duluth, so really no reason to come back. Maybe a nighttime hang with drinks only, on the outdoor terrace would be a slightly better experience. But I don't have to find out.

The décor has a La Catrina/Día de los Muertos feel, and the bar is gorgeous, with colorful liquor bottles, skulls, and plenty of eye-catching details. The upbeat music added to the atmosphere, although at one point it briefly sounded like we were at Mass, and I almost started doing the sign of the cross! For drinks, the Marinero was good. The watermelon margarita was okay, but unfortunately, it really didn't taste much like watermelon. We started with the fresh guacamole, which was disappointing. It was pretty lackluster and needed seasoning. When I order fresh guacamole, I'm looking for that classic table-made style with chunks of avocado, cilantro, onion, fresh lime, and plenty of flavor. This just didn't have it. The chicken quesadilla with peppers and onions was good overall, although the chicken was a little dry. The rice was actually very good--fluffy and not dry at all. The charro beans, however, needed some help. They lacked seasoning and that wonderful smoky flavor I expect from good charro beans. Some flavorful chorizo would have taken them to another level. The sopa de pollo had a good base flavor, but some jalapeños would have given it the kick it needed. The complimentary chips and salsa were okay, but again, the salsa needed more spice and personality. That really sums up my experience: the restaurant looks more flavorful than the food tastes. The atmosphere is beautiful, the bar is impressive, and the restaurant has so much potential, but the kitchen needs to bring the same energy. Give me more garlic, cilantro, lime, sazón, spice, smokiness, and bold Mexican flavors. Get rid of the bland! Overall: C+ Beautiful restaurant and great atmosphere, but the food needs more seasoning and flavor to match the gorgeous surroundings.

I placed an order for everything on the carte menu. Food was fun and a few of the dishes caught me off guard, in a good way. Pros. We loveeed the maitake mushrooms. This dish was one dish my friend and I had low expectations for. Ironically it's the only dish we would go back for! The bucatini I also had low expectations for. I hardly order pasta, from non pasta specialty places, because the pasta is 99% of the time going to be overcooked. BUT this bucatini was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce was rich but not too heavy and just enough to cover the noodles without drowning. The crab taste was pretty faint. If it weren't listed on the menu I wouldn't even think it were in the dish. Cons. The brussel sprout salad was honestly almost inedible. It is a raw shaved brussel sprout salad, dressed as a Caesar salad. Although not bad tasting, the core of the sprouts was not tender but dry and hard. There was also a lot of it. Most disappointing was the "waygu ribeye". The quality was pretty horrible. The piece we got had silver skin as well as chunks of fat. I wish I got a picture of the leftover fat from the steak but if you look at my picture you can clearly see slices of just fat. I love a little fat on a well cooked ribeye and do not mind paying for it. But paying $50 for a probably 8oz "waygu" ribeye with only half of it palatable is wild. Regardless, I'm actually going back in a couple of days with my husband because of those amazing mushrooms.. though as I am writing this review I'm debating on canceling my reservation, ordering the mushrooms to go, and just going elsewhere. lol

The pancakes are delicious and fluffy. The wings are to die for...hot, tender (bones just fall out) and yum! I've had the croissant bacon, egg & avocado sandwich; shrimp and grits too. Still superb! I love that we have something available to us in Gwinnett that feels more like Buckhead/Midtown fare.

Just Brunch was easily one of the most frustrating restaurant experiences I've had in a long time…read more When I arrived, roughly 35% of the dining tables were empty and nearly 40% of the bar seating was sitting unused, yet I was told the wait would be 1 hour and 15 minutes. I didn't have a reservation, but there were only a handful of people ahead of me, making the wait completely unreasonable. Once seated at the bar, things only got worse. The bartender and several employees came across as if they didn't want to be there. Customer service was practically nonexistent. I ordered chicken wings and they were so disappointing that I didn't even eat a single wing. What made it even more frustrating was that the bartender never once asked how my food was or whether everything was satisfactory. Instead, he repeatedly tried to upsell me on other items and drinks. A restaurant can survive mediocre food if the service is exceptional, but when both are poor, there's no reason to come back. Empty tables, long waits, indifferent staff, and terrible food made this one of the worst dining experiences I've had!

Very chill lounge with an intimate feel. I went on a Friday night and there were few patrons. The…read morebar tender made the drinks and hookah, and both were pretty good. They have a few TVs for viewing and had a live belly dancer briefly perform. They didn't have a DJ. It seems like they were playing music from a music playlist, which was a mix of RnB and Hip Hop. Their menu has food, drink, and hookah options. They had nothing on the menu except for Suya; so, we didn't have food. The drinks were pretty good and reasonably priced, given that they were served in plastic cups. The hookah was pretty good and lasted awhile. Of note, the bartender couldn't take cash because she didn't have enough change in the register to return; the only option was card payment.

The sign would advise they open at 5, but doors wouldn't open until nearly an hour later. They would frequently do grocery runs to Walmart then charge you the same amount for items such as wings that were clearly different and finally arrived right before they close the lounge. So you literally had to box them, then pay your bill to close..... With that said, The recent visit I made last week was MUCH better. Decor of this locale is real loungy and sleek. Nice ambiance for a Gwinnett experience...The staff is very pleasant, and the Siracha wings are amazing!!! Presentation was so simple but nice... My friend got another chicken dish, that kinda looked like a Cordon Bleu, and that was quite tasty as well. Drinks are fair, (tiny portions with ice), and the music is good. Mix of African/Reggae/HipHop. In all, I recommend this place if the consistency stays like this....but I had to be honest about my previous experiences.

Our servers (yes, SERVERSSSS .. we were spoiled) were knowledgeable, hilarious, and checked on us like we were VIPs. I'd remember their names if I wasn't too busy enjoying myself. We skipped appetizers because we're professionals. Chilean Seabass : I wanted the Diver Scallops, but they were out...womp womp. But the seabass stepped up like an understudy ready for Broadway. Sitting on spinach mash, full of flavor, melts in your mouth tender. Not dry, not bland, not anything except delicious. Microgreens? They can stay home. Delmonico Ribeye : This steak was JUICY. I don't even have a comparison....JUST JUICY. My husband would've inhaled it whole if sharing wasn't legally required in marriage. Crème Brûlé: Dessert has two settings: good or bad. This was good. Unfortunately sharing is illegal with desserts.. The GM even came by to check on us and told us to head to the other room for live music afterward. A perfect ending to a perfect night. Great energy, great staff, great everything. We loved it.
