Probably was there on a slow night! Good beer selection and staff was friendly but bar was smokey. The Steak is a good deal!

Okay, really SIX stars for the steaks. Had a flight from NO and needed a bite. The desk at the hotel recommended a place just around the corner. A little loud, a little dark, and not too busy. Typical sports bar. Was EXACTLY the kind of place I would have hung out in not too many years ago. Couple groups playing darts, small pool table and good music cranking. Had to work to get the waitress' attention (both to order and to pay). Followed the advice and had the potato salad with the ribeye. Was quite good. The steaks though- oh man... Even better than I could have imagined. The beef was absolutely amazing. No, seriously- AMAZING. Whoever was running the grill was on his game. Totally nailed it. Im here working and its my first time in the New Orleans area other than pumping gas and this spot is "tits" other than the horrible music that dont belong outside a strip club or a crappy network television show. The drinks are cheap and the people are cool so all in all I would recommend this place to anyone in the area read more

This place sucks. Steaks are not seasoned. Potato salad out of a white plastic bucket...eww.best thing I ate was the salad. Can't mess that up! Bartender had an attitude because she had to call the owner. Shane's an ass to begin with. On the upside, they have a variety of liquor, but will have to educate the bartender on how to make a proper drink. Oh and the cliental is one to question. read more

I highly recommend this place across the board. The food is excellent, the beer is cold and cheap, and the staff is 5 Star. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because you don't really know what it is from the street because it's connected to a diner. You will not be disappointed. read more

Bought a coupon on Double Take Deals for the tavern. We planned on going for the last season game of the Saints. The game was disappointing but the steaks were delicious and tender. Their prices a very reasonable, service was great. I found my steak, open flame grilled, to be one of the best I've had. Try the potato salad....awesome!!! A great place to view the game! read more

Went back today, hoping things had gotten better. Yes the food is still good, and the service improved, but I had to sit and listen to two vulgar men sexually harassing the waitress. Put me off my food, for sure. Ashley needs some support from the owner. No one should have to put up with that. read more
