I was here for both lunch and dinner today. For lunch I had the gumbo and salad combo for $15, and for dinner I had the jambalaya entree for $18. They were both good and both waitresses at lunch and dinner were very pleasant and efficient.

    Fettuccine huh? Absolute trash.

Got stuck eating here while staying at the hotel. Had the gumbo/jambalaya/red beans sampler. I intended on getting more but you'll understand why I didn't after this. The gumbo had me nearly getting tested for covid since it had zero flavor. The jambalaya would have been tolerable had it not been at least 3 days old based on the stale rice in it. The star of the show was definitely the red beans and rice which had been left out so long they had a crust across the top I had to break through. It took over 30 minutes to receive my food and 35 minutes for them to inform me they couldn't make the bourbon drink I ordered. This "meal" cost me $20 plus tip and should have had Joe Rogan offering me money to eat it.

Pumpkin sweet potatoe soup actually good very surprised, $7

For a restaurant inside of a Hotel, its not entirely terrible, but the prices are a bit redic for what they have. the menu is pretty basic, and flavors are bland. My friend got a cesar salad, okay $9 nothing special and added shrimp. Salad turned out to be about $20 after adding the shrimp and they werent all that. What saved my meal was the pumpkin butternut squash soup. I was pleasantly surprised by this. Also, my bread pudding was decent. The fried oyster tacos were not good at all. Over fried and the slaw didnt go well with them. Service was slow, we seated ourseleves and didnt have a waitress come over for at least 5 mins. Its clean, and has a full bar and plenty of TVS tho. I guess when youre staying in the hotel, this isnt a terrible option but i was not impressed.

Rice and beans with chicken instead of the sausage

Your stuck and a UBER ride to the city is $75... No other choice but the Hilton since that is where you are staying. Well I was pleasantly surprised with the food and the service. Lisa was my server and she went over and beyond. Unfortunately I don't eat pork or shrimp which almost 50% of the menu consisted of something with one or the other. She quickly said she could accommodate me as I was craving their red beans and rice with chicken instead of sausage. I also wanted some beets but did not want the huge portion of beet salad and she prepared a garden salad with beets in it. And to finish I had the bread pudding to go to. That was so delightful! Do not leave without trying that! Kudos to Lisa

    Crawfish étouffée was on point!

Crawfish étouffée was very delicious! I didn't expect so much for being inside a hotel (their restaurants tend to be iffy) but this one was great.

Loaded potato soup is on point!

Good grub! Nice environment, good food, cold beer and every man loves a ball game on! A bit loud but expected in a sports bar though it's business talk due to it being located in the Hilton.

Fried Oyster Tacos. More of a meal than a starter... 3 per plate.

This place is adequate, especially for the weary traveler. Nothing fancy, but decent food and friendly service.

Was looking forward to the lemongrass sauce with squash but ended up liking the classic a bit better. There were a decent amount of big crawfish, but my husbands batch was very hit and miss, many were very small and limp, unable to eat about a third of them. Big tables, lots of space. Decent TVs to catch games on. Nice selection of drinks, the mint lychee drink was strong. Service was great.

After 5ppl they charge you a gratuity fee. Which that's fine, but at least work for the gratuity fee. I feel like waiters that get gratuity feel as though they don't have to work because they have already gotten my tip. Also they charge you $15 if you bring a cake into their establishment. Also I DID not like how they treated a group of "black" young men that came into the restaurant. The food was absolutely disgusting.i hate swai fish. And if your restaurant isn't serving "REAL" catfish at least advertise that on your menu. The fries were hard and overcooked. The egg rolls were semi decent. Definitely would not recommend this place of business

One restaurant that locals constantly recommended to me was Drago's Seafood in Metairie, and now I completely understand why. I ordered the charbroiled oysters along with the crawfish platter that came with crawfish étouffée, crawfish mac and cheese, and fried crawfish. Every single thing on the table was incredible. The charbroiled oysters absolutely lived up to the hype rich, buttery, smoky, and packed with flavor. The crawfish platter was just as impressive and gave me a chance to try multiple Louisiana dishes all in one meal. What really stood out to me beyond the food was the service. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and patient with questions from someone who isn't from Louisiana and still learning the local food scene. You can tell they take pride in both the restaurant and the hospitality. The only downside is parking can get a little complicated because the place fills up fast, which honestly says a lot about how popular it is. Just plan ahead or expect a short wait finding a spot. Overall, this is one of those restaurants that feels genuinely loved by locals and absolutely worth visiting if you're traveling through the New Orleans area.

Of course the charbroiled oysters were so tasty. Just bring me platters next time. The house gin and tonics also were solid--Boddles gin. Always excellent service and comfortable surroundings.
