Because of the great reviews, wife, daughter, and I walked the 20 minutes from our hotel for our 5:45 dinner reservation. We were seated immediately, and service remained friendly throughout. The first thing I noticed upon sitting was that the water glasses were upside down on the table, as is the case in many restaurants for some reason. Why do they do that? It makes me think, each time I put my mouth to the glass, that I'm putting my mouth to the table. Anyhow, we ordered a few beers and the burrata/prosciutto appetizer. The beers were cool, but not cold. The appetizer was delicious, but there weren't enough crostini on the plate to accommodate the cheese. Thus, we ended up piling it up sky-high onto the crackers. For $18 they could have included more than 6 little crostini. For dinner, wife and I split two entrees: campanelle, and the special, scallops and linguine. The scallop dish smelled--and tasted--fishy. Still, it was ok, and I could conceive of how it was supposed to taste when fresh. Wife liked it. The campanelle was delicious. It prominently hosted sun-dried tomatoes and prosciutto, and included mushrooms and green onion. Both dishes were a bit too oily. Kid had noodles with salt and butter; it came out with the appetizer, and she ate it all. Before tip, the bill was $83, which is steep for food of this caliber. Best meal on our short getaway to Vancouver. We walked from our hotel downtown all the way to the outskirts. Loved that the restaurant is literally the last one before a residential area. So worth the walk! Great wine suggestions. Excellent food. Terrific ambiance. Because we did not want to fill up too much, we just had the buffalo mozzarella and burrata cheese appetizer (tasty!). Husband had the pulled pork ragu (thick, meaty, over the top good) and I had the tonnerali cacio i pepe (simple, peppery, served with a pile of parm, delicious). Dessert was also awesome: lemon concoction and the chocolate fondant. Like other reviewers noted, the wait staff and host were amazing - informative, friendly, and attentive (but not overly so). They have heard now that they are on Yelp with excellent reviews and sincerely strive to continue to impress. Finally, we loved that on a drizzling summer night, we could sit out on the patio by ourselves while the inside was busy with lots of happy diners. For us, super romantic and enjoyable. Absolutely love Tavola! The atmosphere in this restaurant is a practical torrent of boisterous chatter, infectious laughter and sudden chimes of glass coming together in cheers. The spirit of family dining (long tables and chats with strangers) is alive and well here, add in the amazing wait staff and you would be hard pressed to find a better dining experience. Be warned, it is busy and loud here so perhaps not the best place for a (possibly uncomfortable?) first date, people with hearing problems or anyone who has forgotten what it's like to have fun. The daily board for food is incredible and ever changing. Somehow they have hired staff that can remember a rotating board of seven or eight new things each night. I applaud them for this feat of mental dexterity but the shear amount of words can sometimes be overwhelming. My suggestion is to read them off the black board at the front whilst you wait for a seat to become open. There are times that you will need to wait for a table, as this establishment is a popular hit for Westend locals and other food tourists. I one hundred percent think you should eat from the dailies menu but if you want some tried and true suggestions from the menu, here are a few staples. As others have mentioned, Burrata is amazing and the serving size here is ample. I love the mixed Olives because I can honestly not stop eating the Castelvetrano variety, I'm now prone (addicted!) to going to Italian specialty stores to seek them out on my own. All the Crostinis are great to share over casual drinks, the Walnut Pesto version is ridiculously good and they will let you mix and match. My favorite pasta is the Cacio Pepe and I would hands down, dance-fight anyone in the alley way who disagrees with me enough to tell me I'm wrong. I have been served one of the best Old Fashioned ever to be created and tasted from the bar here. Last time I looked, they were pouring it with Woodford Reserve bourbon which is (surprise!) my absolute favourite. As previously mentioned, the staff here are gems. They must all be encouraged to have and hold their own character and actual have fun at work. They are so helpful with menu suggestions, will take the time to communicate with the kitchen to ensure any question you have is answered correctly. Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner tonight. I was greeted right away by a friendly waitress and sat at a very nice cozy table, the restaurant was dimly lit and decorated very nicely. We ordered two of the Crostini's one was the Walnut Pesto with Gorgonzola & pear and the other was the Chickpea with Roasted Garlic & Herbs, both were tremendous! We then decided to order three of the main pasta dishes to share, we tried the Gnocchi with brown sage butter & hazelnuts, the Bucatini all'Amatriciana and the Tonnarelli Cacio Pepe. I let Yelp lead me to Tavola on a recent trip to Vancouver. The restaurant is near the end of Robson Street, and is casual and welcoming. I was able to get a reservation two weeks ahead of time on OpenTable fairly easily, but I did notice the day of that they were booked up for the weekend. I had dinner with a friend, and while I enjoyed the experience, she was quite agitated by our service. Sometimes it is nice to have some space while enjoying your food, but when my friend wanted to order a second dish after finishing her appetizer (and while I was eating the main I ordered), it took her a while to get our server's attention. Despite this, I would still give the service a positive review. I got the Campanelle for dinner and it was very tasty. After walking around Vancouver all day, I polished off the whole dish. It wasn't the best pasta I have ever had, but it was solidly good. Nothing really stood out as exceptional in the dish for me, which is why I'm going with four stars instead of five. I'd recommend Tavola for a comfortable dining experience in the Robson Street area, especially if you want to enjoy sitting and conversing with some wine and shared dishes. read more

Very nice venue with a great ambiance. We ordered the castelvetrano tepenade, Campanella pasta and bucatini pasta. Tepenade was delicious but both pastas were quite mediocre. I really don't know why the reviews are so high. The bucatini had a slightly weird flavour and the Campanella was good but not great. I went to La Quicera a couple of weeks ago and Tavola really pales in comparison. While the noodles at Tavola were delicious and freshly made the flavours and seasoning were really lacking. Vancouver really has subpar Italian food and Tavola is part of the reason why I say that. read more

I went here on a sunday evening with my girlfriend's family. We were greeted by a very nice man who walkjed us through the menu and explained the concept of the place - italian food for sharing. we ordered a fantastic grilled veggie plate with prosciutto, salami and cheese - only it didnt come with all that much cheese, which is why we wanted to try the place in the first place second course was 3 pastas and roast chicken. perfect amount of food for 5 people. desert was sticky toffee pudding and lemon positano - good, but nothing to write home about. if these guys have a pastry chef, it isnt evident. the restaurant is quite loud - first because we had a speaker right next to us playing donovan frankenreiter? and second as the place filled up, the sound carries. we will come back, but we arent rushing. go for the patio. order the chicken. read more

Came here a few weeks ago on holiday and searched on Yelp for the best hidden Italian restaurant in Vancouver, and Tavola was what I found, it was A M A Z I N G. I made a reservation for 5:30 and walked to the restaurant from the Fine Arts Museum to open my appetite. The restaurant was pretty empty when I got there, except for a senior citizen couple on the patio (slightly embarrassing/amusing). Here's why I gave 5 stars: 1. Attentive/Friendly staff. My waitress didn't act like she knew everything that was good on the the menu or on the wine list. Instead, she asked questions and brought over every wine sample that the owner suggested for me to taste and pick - that was very nice. 2. Attentive/Friendly owner. The owner came over to my table and asked me if where I was from since he didn't recognize my area code from my number. When I told him that I was from Houston, he sat down for the next 15 mins talking about his trip to Austin, and asked me if I needed any suggestions for places to go in Vancouver. He then came back with a list of places for me to visit and eat, and told me to tell the bar/restaurant owners that he sent me and that they would take very good care of me, that was over the top generous. 3. Food was delicious. I ordered 3 courses from their specials of the night list, and asked them to size down the proportions so I wouldn't have any left overs. The arugula with pecorino and lemon vinaigrette salad was light, savory, and very refreshing to start off the course. My second course was a pasta pesto concoction that was simple, not overly heavy or greasy, and the best part was that you could tell the pasta was homemade and fresh. I paired my first and second course with two (and some...) glasses of the 2009 MDC Dunham Froese red, which is probably one of the best reds that I have had in a while. I finished off the night splitting their bread pudding with the house staff, we were like family by this time. 4. Didn't kill my wallet. My bill came out to be around $50 US, which for all that I ate, and the quality of the food, was very reasonable. 1.5 hours later, I had to call a cab because I was too full and intoxicated to walk back to my hotel. Obviously, I had a horrible time at Tavola... I understand that everyone may not have the privilege to experience what I did at Tavola, but at least you'll be able to enjoy the wonderful food, and if you are lucky enough leave with unforgettable memories! read more

Food alone is a 4.5, but the overall experience is an easy 5. We left feeling rejuvenated. As others have mentioned, the burrata is probably one of the best appetizers in town. No need for the variant with prosciutto - letting the burrata, herbed bread, and olive oil shine on their own was delightful. For mains, we shared the bucatini and the daily pasta special - a 3-cheese stuffed beet ravioli. The latter was phenomenal: halfway through the dish I was still discovering new flavors and textures, despite the simple description. The bucatini was very good, but too heavy on the salt. Otherwise, the flavors were nice and house-made pasta had an addicting chewiness. A well-designed room and great service (on-point wine recommendation) = the cherry on top. Loved this place in Vancouver's hip West End. Showed up around 6 pm on a Saturday and they were just clearing out a wedding party -- thought we were out of luck and then one of the servers told me "we'll be open in about 20 minutes, just hang around." These people are seriously nice and accommodating. Food was excellent. We started with the crostini (one order tomato and one chicken liver pate) and the fresh cheese plate (superb burrata, buffala mozzarella, and ricotta) both were superb. Mains included pork loin, halibut, and two delicious pastas (slow cooked pork and a pork/fennel meatball pasta) all outstanding. Finally dessert -- and normally I'm too stuffed to truly enjoy this, but boy were they good. We had a panna cotta (among the best I've ever had), a toffee pudding with ice cream (awesome), and an apple pie-type tart (also excellent). Really a great experience in a very comfortable, neighborhoody restaurant with engaged and fun servers. Loved it and will come back whenever I come to Vancouver -- highly recommended. read more

First off, a big hooray for Tavola in participating in YelpEats. I'm always excited to try new places, and even more so when they're supporting such a great cause. A friend and I stopped by during the week to sample their delicious pastas. Despite calling earlier and hearing they were full-up for reservations, we did as the host suggested and come by anyways as he was fairly certain the patio would still have spots. When in doubt, give a shout - they're always super nice and willing to help. We ordered the walnut pesto crostini (my favourite, since I have a big sweet tooth), and my friend ordered the anchovy and Italian butter one (he apparently loves anchovies, who knew). We were both thrilled with our respective dishes, so totally looking forward to the main course. While we shared our two plates of pastas, his was clearly the winner. The special of braised beef ragu was absolutely devine - the pasta was perfect and the sauce well seasoned. Enticed by chantrelles, I ordered the campenelle but was disappointed - the dish was extremely salty (the pancetta was a given, but the chantrelles were lip puckering). It wasn't a winning dish. But the dessert of the evening, the apple turnover cake, satisfied my sweet tooth once again, so overall a fantastic night. The service is top notch, as I expected! read more

Delicious! I really loved everything that came out of Tavola's kitchen and was placed in front of us. I came here for Yelp Eats, family style with my fellow yelpers from anotha motha! All 6 of us ordered different pasta dishes and shared them. My favorite was the campanelle pasta with pancetta and chanterelle mushrooms. I'm a sucker for chanterelles. And then for dessert we ordered 5 desserts and shared them too. It was all sooooo good. But they had a crab apple custard tarte with caramel sauce that was to die for! Of course, I can't forget about the amazing fresh mozzarella sampler we shared in the beginning. The La Quercia prosciutto's silky texture melting in my mouth still lingers in my memory. Came here for dinner at the recommendation of a friend and had a great casual meal! Service is very good and owner seems friendly. Looks like there are a lot of regulars here. Booked my table via e-mail and I was a bit surprised at the lack of formality in it, but maybe that's just their style. We enjoyed everything that we ordered... the crostinis with the different toppings were delicious (you can order as many as you want for $3 each), and I loved the meat and cheese sampling as well. The pastas were also very good quality - fresh, good texture and firmness. Their linguini was great, the gnocchi was pretty good, and I also had their daily special as well. One of the highlights was dessert... they made this AMAZING apple pie dish. I asked for the caramel sauce on the side. On its own, the apple tart/pie was delicious... not too crusty and just bursting with apples and flavor. So good. Great way to end the meal. The bill adds up pretty quickly with the shared plates since the portions are pretty small. Great casual/family style atmosphere with a solid menu. read more

Amazing food with excellent customer service! I would frequently see this little hidden gem whenever I bike to Stanley park but never actually stopped by. After a recommendation from another a friend, I decided to jump the gun and give this place a try. Although the menu at Tavola isn't large, there is a real good reason for it - Every dish is delicious and is cooked to perfection. I also like how they have a different daily dishes and how creative they are with then daily dishes. The servers are also extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We came here early on a Friday evening, good thing otherwise the wait gets a bit long (not as bad as those Japanese ramen places). The waitress kept our water filled and she recommended that we share the pasta dishes, since they are very filling. The appetizer Tuna cappacio ($18) is drizzled generously in olive oil, seafood linguini ($24, is on the dinner special) is tasty but on the lighter side. And the pulled pork Ragu ($18) is the best one for me, the texture of the pasta really shows that truly housemade pasta dough makes a huge difference when it comes to mouth feel and the chewy-ness... One thought is that maybe it's not common for the house to supply bread with olive oil + balsamic vinegar //butter outside of the States? This is the first Italian restaurant I came upon for dinner and thus we had to ask for the bread plate but they forgot to supply the dipping for us. Desserts: Date cake with vanilla ice cream ($8) is awesome!! sweet but not overly, served warm topped with ice cream and sauce. Flourless chocolate cake ($8) pales in comparison slightly to the date cake. My dinner companions had a bottle of red wine, and they really enjoyed it. My experience with Italian food is limited, however, the ones that I've been to in the past based on recommendation and events have all been great, this one included. I attended a yelp UYE at this fantastic establishment which was on my 2013 - 2014 hit list to begin with, therefore, when this was announced it was a must that I attend. When it comes to food I am often very indecisive, therefore, the tasting menu was appreciated. I also prefer chefs to showcase to me their finest work and put themselves in the limelight of culinary awesomeness. The seats are a little hard to sit on for long durations even for someone like myself who has a little cushion for pushing. By the end of the night, with all the awesome food I ate, the extra rear side padding was appreciated. The kitchen and hosting staff were awesome and cooperative about addressing my dietary concerns: Seafood and gluten free. Some of the items on the tasting menu had to be tailored to suit my needs. Some menu items were different than those the rest of the table received, however, still had the same awesome experience. Ham & cheese my f-ing ass...never will I go back to just ham & cheese like a collage girl. The burrata and prosciutto was a great balance of salty and mild with all the spices showcased. I had this without the bread which I highly recommend as no vehicle is needed to really appreciate this well marinated selection. It was very smooth going down. The salad was well dressed for success. Not too much that it was drowning and not too light that you felt as though you were on a diet. The vinegars complemented the selections of greens. I had veggies which were nicely grilled. Each vegetable emitted their own natural flavor that worked and complemented the marinade. It brought forth the intended notes into the spotlight rather than disguise or distract. You could still taste the marinade and at the same time, the loveliness of the individual vegetables. I understand that working with gluten free pasta isn't the easiest and only a few sauces work with GF pasta, therefore, I left this under the complete control and trust of the kitchen so that they could showcase to me their finest. This was one the best pasta dishes I've ever had. This review may be a few days late in publication, however, I can still taste the signature intended flavors in my mouth with my eyes closed. This doesn't happen with me often with food. The pasta was happiness in my mouth without the trip to the brothel. It had mushrooms, prosciutto and lemon. You could taste the notes one after the other. I tried not to scarf this down too fast which will be a habit as flavors this good are meant to be savored. I had the lemon custard dessert which was to die for. I forgot the name of it and nor is it published on-line. The sweet and lemony sensation was like a drug that makes you see new colors...it was that awesome. It was a party in my mouth and everyone was invited. I may have gone overboard on the dessert and the scale at the end of the week at my Weight Watchers meeting will remind me. Family style Italian restaurant...no bad choices. Came here with some old high school friends and were pleasantly greeted and seated. Our host went through all of the menu options (lots of specials) with all of them sounding inviting. We went with the brick chicken, special cassarecce with pancetta, gnocchi. We also ordered the special antipasto with grilled vegetables, prosciutto, and burrabata (sp?) cheese. Each dish was great, with the pancetta pasta being my standout (nothing is wrong with bacon). The chicken had a great crust but it did lend to being extra salty. The gnocchi was well flavored but could have been a bit chewier. Really just small taste preferences as overall the food was really well prepared and quickly demolished...so delicious. Will be coming back to make sure I leave room for dessert next time. Burrata with white asparagus $22 4/5 - I was expecting more than 4 pieces of toasts, 4 asparagus, and a little spoonful of burrata. The burrata was fresh and smooth. I remember I've got more when I ordered the burrata in Nook. Eggs with Anchovies $6 3.5/5 - I was expecting delish eggs with anchovies on top. The soft boiled eggs made it much better. It would be even better if the eggs were marinated! The anchovies were fresh but a little too salty. Walnut pesto, gorgonzola, pear crostinis $9 3/5 - Everything was alright but I would say this was my least favourite of the night. We could barely find any gorgonzola. It would be better if some of the walnut was in cream to add texture. Or adding honey would be a good idea. Campanelle, mushrooms, prosciutto, lemon $19 3.25/5 - The pasta were a little undercooked. It was light with a hint of sourness from the lemon. Linguini, anchovies, garlic, chilies, lemon $19 3/5 - dry, plain, only the dried anchovies brought the pasta back alive. We wasn't expecting it to be spicy too Bucatini all'Amatriciana $19 3.5/5 - This was even spicier than the last one. However, I liked this one the best. The thick noodles reminded us of the Chinese northern noodles. Meyer lemon position $9 3.5/5 - The panna cotta should be as flavourful as this one. It was a nice creamy dessert with some dehydrated? Lemon zests. The zests added some crunchiness to the creaminess. Panna cotta $9 3/5 - the flavor could be much stronger. The texture was quite bouncy. I felt it should be richer in flavor and less gelatin could be used. The berries on top were not fresh and the sauce was a little watery too. Sticky toffee pudding $9 4/5 - It was much better than expected. Our server recommended this to us and we were glad we got it. The sticky toffee pudding was crunchy but not dry. It was a little too sweet for me. Too bad, the baking sheet was still attached to the bottom of the cake. Service 3.5/5 - Everything was great until they got busy and loud after 7pm. We need to asked a few times before our glasses got filled. Towards the end of the dinner, I found a bug in my water. There was no apology or anything when our server changed my glass. Did I wait too long to visit here? Am I becoming too jaded? Picky?! Say it ain't so .. Highlight of the meal was the sticky toffee pudding. It was perfect and a great portion for the price. Pork chop was on special and after a difficult internal struggle, I went for it. Sorry, guys - I've had better. It wasn't dry or even bad but, I should've stuck with pasta. I liked the pork ragu pasta, it was tasty and cheesy but slightly overcooked. No al dente here but I'm OK with that. The chicken liver crostini was nice. Mmmm Mmmmm Mmmm bellisima!! I am redolent with joy when I find a restaurant I can frequent time and time again, this will be one of them. Nothing over the top, nothing pretentious. In the old Tapastree location, they've mellowed out the space and given it some elbow room with smaller tables, little dining chairs juxtaposed against the warmth of deep red emanating from the walls that invite you to sit and be fed. The menu is simple and to the point, 4-5 mains and specials of the day in the $20-28 price range. Their appetizers revolve around the burrata (a style of soft mozzarella). Half a dozen pasta dishes in the $15-18 price range and a blackboard of daily specials. Once seated, our server swooped in to attend to the formalities and quickly dispensed with the daily specials and small talk. Service was friendly, very friendly. My partner suggested we split the casarecce pasta with pork and fennel meatballs which were tiny balls of deliciousness and most importantly the pasta was perfectly al dente but the tomato sauce a little too salty according to my partner's taste buds. Once the pasta dishes were cleared away our two mains were delivered by our exuberant waiter who leaped over from the kitchen with a plate of the blackboard special boneless short ribs, tender and moist and layered on a bed of lentils and the salmon, perfectly seared which came with a mix of chantrelle mushrooms and greens. Other than having to ask for pepper on two separate occasions which one should never have to ask for, the service was respectable but not entirely up to par. Regardless of how casual the restaurant and staff appear to be, a good server (or one that desires an above average tip) should not compromise on the basics; you must always ask once the dishes have delivered if there is anything else your patron needs before the server leaves the table. It is unacceptable to drop plates off and disappear forcing your patrons to chase you down while the plates begin to cool.. Nevertheless, a solid 4 stars, and we will return. I would rather a happy friendly neighbourhood waiter with too much attention rather than no attention. Plus when food is good, you can overlook minor transgressions. Our party of 8 (including 4 adults and 4 kids aged 2-9) was looking for a tasty yet family-friendly dining spot early on a Saturday evening. We wandered by Nook, which was booked, but a very kind staff member handed me a card for Tavola and promised us a table. When our harried party arrived, stroller in tow, we were greetled warmly and promptly despite the chaos we created. And then... the food was delicious! We started with a few crostini (topped with hummus or olive tapenade) - yum! I am a huge gnocchi fan, and they did not disappoint - the fresh-made, melt-in-your mouth treat inspired me to try (again) to recreate them at home! I also split a delicious arugula salad, and the Negroni cocktail reminded me that traveling with small children can still be fun! The pasta is all house-made, and the children (even the picky ones) all devoured their pasta with marinara sauce. This restaurant is a triple-treat - friendly, accommodating staff, delicious food, warm atmosphere. We will return! read more

The service here was a 5. The ambiance was a 5 (classic rock at an Italian restaurant? amazing) The pasta was unfortunately really not my favorite. It is traditionally handmade and fresh, but "chewy" and there isn't a ton of sauce with it. Just a personal taste that I have. Loved everything about this place! Our server was awesome, everyone was friendly, and they have blankets that they can give you if you sit out on the patio when it's chilly. The food: We ordered the burrata with olive oil and sea salt (YUM!), brussels sprouts with pancetta (uh, YEAH), the gnocchi (they use ricotta instead of potatoes so they are super fluffy and light) and the bucatini (excellent noodles and more pancetta - yes!). Love this place. Just love it. I've been here twice (though I wish I could go every night), the food is cooked to perfection, the service is spectacular, and the atmosphere is more than inviting. Wow! Vancouver has one of the best Italian restaurants ever?!? This place was a last minute decision because we outdid ourselves with all the sushi over our weekend stay. We decided to eat here to mix it up. Boy, were we glad we did. Burrata with La Quercia Prosciutto = Amazing! Arugula Salad = Amazing! Last Friday myself and three friends went to Tavola for dinner. We arrived at 6pm and it wasn't very busy but by 7:30pm the place was full and there was a line up out the door. So I recommend either getting there early or making a reservation. There's a great wine list and even though the actual menu seems a little bit sparse, there is a huge, and I mean huge, list of specials....so truly lots to choose from. Since Tavola is a sharing-type restaurant our group of four ordered all our dishes to share with eachother. I thought the prices were great! Our group ordered tons of appies, 3 entree sized pasta dishes, the antipasto veggie plate (which was my fav) and desserts and the total food bill for all four of us was $108. It felt like a steal for all the great food we had! Our wine bill was a lot higher but we did order several bottles of really nice wine, some martinis, and some high-balls so we figured that part of the bill would be high. I also want to mention that we got there at 6pm and stayed until almost midnight and the server never ever tried to rush us or anything. I know that was a little bit due to the fact that we were spending a lot of money on full bottles of wine; however, we still felt unrushed and well treated. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I'm a vegetarian and there weren't really a lot of vegetarian option. You would think for an italian place that there would be more pasta options that didn't contain capricola or braised rabbit. But overall, everything was excellent and I'd definitely go back again so I've given it 4 stars. Leanne read more

This review is dedicated to Andy Roy, EH? Cool little restaurant that smells great the minute you walk in. Tomato crostini was really good. The roasted cauliflower was fucking delicious, so we had to order a second round. Everyone was happy with the pastas they ordered, but I didn't really like Shahuda's dish. Cousin David ordered some sort of meat pasta so I wasn't digging into that one. The crumble desert was alright. It was almost like a bowl of hot fruit and oats rather than a good crust, which is one of the best parts of a crumble. We had an interesting view of a first date that wasn't going so well. My first time in the restaurant, as I am in town for business. What a great experience. First, I was welcome by whom I think is the owner. It felt as though I was being welcome into his home for a meal. The staff was very attentive to our group of 7 despite a very busy restaurant. We choose to eat family style. The food, was very flavorful and fresh. We did a sampling of several items. Crostini with burrata and prosciutto! Yum! Seasonal green salad, so fresh and light. They dressed it perfectly. Pasta when fennel sausage! Bit of a kick but you can't go wrong! Gnocchi was probably one of my favorites. There is a reason that brick chicken is famous. Juicy flavorful meat. Three of us had been to Nook (pizza) a while ago, and so I was looking forward to trying out the pasta here, though just down to the two of us this time around. - Bruschetta with prosciutto: delicious! The bread was toasted nicely with a soft interior (not like some bruschetta that's super hard all the way through lol). The mozzarella was drizzled with some olive oil and prosciutto lined the bottom of the wooden serving block. The prosciutto was a bit salty, so only a small amount was needed for an optimal balance of mozzarella, meat, and bread. - Pulled Pork Ragu: it appeared to be a moderate-sized portion, but it was indeed quite filling, on the heavier side as far as pasta dishes go. The meat was really good, and the pasta was perfectly al dente - on point. - Tonnarelli Cacio Pepe: this was a vegetarian pasta with cheese and pepper. I liked the ragu better, but maybe it's because I like meat haha. I felt like the ragu was more flavourful than this white pasta. - Sticky toffee pudding: this was quite sweet, with cake drenched in the sticky syrup. I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so I enjoyed it. As the cake slowly disappeared, so did the syrup, as it soaked into the remaining cake. Both pastas were good, but the standout for me was the bruchetta. Definitely great Italian food to be had here! read more
