I've been using Dan for years and have recommended about 10 very grateful people to him. He is extremely meticulous and knowledgeable and does great work. I see from a previous review, someone got in his face around tax time, and as his popularity over the years has increased and he is in great demand, better to let him do his work and not get on his case in any kind of disrespectful or condescending way during that period as he is very meticulous about avoiding mistakes and doing a good job for ALL his clients. On the other hand in the off season he'll keep you on the phone chatting about life and other cool stuff, very personable and warm, with a great sense of humor. I find his rates very reasonable. I think he's about as good as a CPA can get, and I've dealt with some others who you can't get on the phone AT ALL. It's a stressful job and empathy is required if you want good work from good people who deal with...the tax authorities. He recently just saved my butt on a matter...and I sent him wine...for work above and beyond the call of duty. You would be fortunate if he had time to take on your business. In fact, he was referred to me by a very successful theatrical producer and this was the best accounting decision I ever made. His service is totally professional and he has the best rates in NYC. He has never, ever made a mistake for even a penny. His office is efficient and meticulous with their attention to detail. Dan Kornblatt is by far the best accountant I have ever met. He has been doing our personal taxes(my wife and I) for about 21 years. He also does my wife's corp and my llc. There has never been a discrepancy in my taxes. Dan uses very accurate and precise computer software modules that he developed exclusively for his clients. Although this exclusive computer software could have been sold to other accountants at a high price, Dan uses it only for us, his clients, which put us at a great advantage. My wife and I have never been audited or questioned by the IRS. Dan's rates are incredibly reasonable considering the high quality of his work.
