He made me pay in advance which is unusual and should have been my first red flag. He had all of my information and that of the foundation in hand by the middle of February. Despite this he filled extensions for both filings, the second red flag. I had to email, text and call multiple times to get a status update from him, third red flag. I pay estimated taxes so need to know how much was due for April 15th and June 16th which I could not calculate without the 2023 taxes having been completed. I was so stressed and anxious, the fourth red flag. He finally filled my taxes on June 16th. Last week I got a letter from FTB telling me my taxes had been incorrectly calculated and I owed another $2,000 including $90 in late fees and interest payments. Today I got a letter from the IRS telling me my taxes had been incorrectly calculated and I was getting a $300 refund. So he was late to file despite having all the necessary information well in advance and then to add insult to injury HE DID NOT PREPARE EITHER OF MY TAX FILINGS CORRECTLY.

I am not sure how it was possible but I owed more money in 2024 than 2023 when I made more in 2023 and also did a full office buildout, bought a car, and went on maternity leave in 2024. I paid the taxes and didn't question because they are the experts right? Then in 2026 I submitted all my expenses and answered all their bookkeeping questions while they also had access to my business credit cards for 2025. I submitted these all in 1/2026. March comes around, April comes around, and they aren't done with my taxes. Then they said they filed extension. At that time they have the audacity to ask me for my 2025 expenses (submitted 1/26) and access to my Amex (which I already gave access to back in 8/2025). I finally get my drafts back in 5/2026 to see I apparently made even more money in 2025 than 2024 though the business had been significantly down, I was on maternity leave for half the year, and i barely was able to even pay myself for the remainder of the year. I signed off on the submission because, of course, you trust the experts, even though I noticed they filed one my businesses as a S corp when we agreed and changed my business to a C corp for 2025. At this point my personal tax CPA said this doesn't look right and was filed wrong. Also she saw that they gave me a PTE voucher that was due in March but I only received it in June. My experienced CPA said it would be rejected if I paid it. When I asked Kali about it he said I can still pay it with maybe a penalty and then also that the business was not filed as a C corp. so I then reached out to my NEW business CPA I hired that filed the c corp for me the previous year, and she confirmed it was filed. She asked to review my 2025 filings and found MAJOR issues. Kalis office staff, and mind you they have a new person working on my taxes every year so they literally ask me for the same info every year and charge me for the time, NEVER accessed my Amex to see it was ALL business expenses and instead, put all my Amex BUSINESS expenses as PERSONAL INCOME. So this was why I had such high income and higher business profit. This is a mistake of over 135k for one business and 87k for another. I was about to pay for these taxes only to find that this is a huge mistake!! This is pure incompetence or laziness and I paid over $2000 to them for their "time" to file my taxes. I now am paying for someone else to do them all over again. My new CPA is rechecking my 2024 as well. Don't waste your time and money. They truly robbed me and have/wouldve cost me so much more. THEY ARE NOT cheap but you also do NOT get what you pay for. Don't learn your lesson the hard way like I have. I sent them an email expressing my upset and frustration throughout the process even before the 2025 filing, which is why I already chose to leave the company and terminate the relationship, but after finding these huge mistakes, I reached out to them, hoping for any response to which I never received. I should've never paid the $2000 + tax preparation fees as they didn't even do their job and now I'm paying more to fix and undo their mistakes

He claims he needs to mediate between my husbands mom Betsy and my husband for financial matters. But he is stepping out of his field by stating he needs to mediate with us for everything financial. My husband only wants to talk directly to his mother. Not Steve or my husbands sister Alice that has also been causing major trouble calling the police on my husband and having him 51/50'd. Steve legally has not a leg to stand on with this. Along with the fact that since he did this, the MIB (medical information bureau) shows that my husband was 51/50'd it can affect my husband getting life insurance or even causing pre existing conditions not be covered because of him being 51/50'd in the MIB.
