I went here for almost a year and a half before I called it quits. I was super excited because the location was convenient and they had a very modern office. This dentist has all modern equipment. It was very impressive.
Where it fails is customer service. When I interacted with the dentist I never had any issue. He was always friendly and informative. The staff were always super defensive and were quick to either put the blame on your, or referred to their policy. There was never any understanding, listening, or even a sorry we made you feel that way type of statements. It was just very abrupt and abrasive. I talked about my concerns multiple times with the lady at the front desk and with billing when it pertained to that. Here are just a few of the issues I had with this practice:
-- Last appointment was scheduled 6 months in advance, and when I get there doctor is on vacation. Was told I could take X-rays and doctor could look at them later. I was told the X-rays would be out of pocket. If doctor was out I should have been informed he was not in or rescheduled. So now I have a cavity that could have been caught. They could have even offered to split the cost of the X-ray. Something, anything. Nope.
-- PPE FEE. I asked multiple times what the fee entailed. In text, on Facebook, etc. never got an answer. They are quick to text you, but rarely reply and if they do it is days later. I checked with other dentists and they have a way to work with your insurance for this fee and not charge you directly out of pocket. I am not sure why they have a fee of $7 that I have to pay for them to wipe things down and keep things clean. Sounds like the cost of doing business during a pandemic.
-- Was told I had to fill out an online form for COVID. I go to the website and it needs ALL my personal information. Name, address, phone number, date of birth, social security number. All of the things that people can use to steal my identity. I say NO and show up at the dentists and they bring me the Covid form to my car. The COVID form Just needs my signature and date. The online website is just data mining all my data and is not necessary and being collected in the name of Covid. Probably illegal to be honest. As an existing patient they have all that information on file and there is not need to send that over the internet and put my personal information at risk. The form had the standard if you have a temperature/cough stay home. Sign and date. This is how the online form should be as well.
-- When I have an appointment I get badgered constantly. First a phone call, which I can't answer at work, then they leave a voicemail. Then I get an email. Then a text message. When I don't reply they call my wife. I rent hotels and cars in other states for work and have no need to confirm any of those reservations, yet my dentist hounds me for a $25.00 no show fee. Insane.
