When I asked their answer was that it is just routine practice, and if I go against their routine practice( not let them do what they want) I should go some place else; however, this unnecessary radiation exposure to my children and Bluffdale Dental routine practice should had been explained to us before it was done to my children and not after the fact. I also asked how often children gets panoramic x-ray the doctor said about every 5 years ( assistant said every 3 to 5 years) then I asked if they had requested dental records to see last time it was done since my children are new to them( their first visit) they said NO! this is so unacceptable! what if the other dentist got this done recently; Bluffdale dental did not care enough to know this information to protect my children against unnecessary radiation exposure which can be harmful to their health. Not a sincere apology or any effort to understand the client's point of view. I am devastated. As far as the visit went my children were very impressed with how well the staff treated them.

When I showed up to my appointment I was met by Dr. Proctor who was apparently a few years out of dental school. I had to laugh and I explained to him I asked for the seasoned dentist upfront due to my fear of all things dentistry and wished us both luck. He was AWESOME! His personality is hilarious. He would joke when I needed a joke. Made me feel comfortable from minute one. We are many appointments, fillings and crowns in and he is still my all time favorite dentist and I've had many in my nearly sixty years. My permanent crown today went on so perfectly I was in and out in no time . Thank you Taylor for assisting ,you were great too. I'm so happy I just had to leave a review! Thank you Dr. Proctor and Taylor for looking after me.

Dr. Ogilvie needs to retire and shut down his practice immediately. He stripped out the screw on my…read morehusband's implant when he was trying to tighten it, which only made his pain and discomfort worse. Despite his mistake, he still charged us for the work he did. My husband had to go to another dentist to get it fixed. My husband asked for a copy of his records to provide the new dentist and was informed they did not exist. As a result, we had to pay the new dentist a lot more money to research and fix the problem, that Dr. Ogilvie created. If he had at least maintained proper records as required by law, the new dentist could have quickly fixed Dr. Ogilvie's mistake for a fraction of what it ultimately cost us.

The front desk receptionist is great and so was the dental assistant. Both of them were very friendly to my kids. When the dentist came in the whole vibe changed. He started looking in my son's mouth and used a laser to look for cavities. He claimed he found 4 cavities and suggested crowns are best for long term. Instantly my gut was telling me this wasn't right. He never showed me what teeth had the cavities or even the x rays to show me where they were. I ended up taking my son to a different office to get a second opinion. They found NO cavities and said no work was needed. I couldn't believe it! Please trust your gut or get a second opinion anyways with this office. I'm so happy I got a second opinion and didn't put my son through unnecessary pain. We won't be returning.

I had a long wait for one of my appointments (like 20 minutes) and they were like "we were so sorry for the wait, here, have a free fluoride treatment" (normally $20 or $25). The dentist also said that he might recommend a crown due to some overbearing fillings causing me to be unable to floss in between some teeth. But over the next 6 months I was able to floss in between those teeth and he said the crown wasn't necessary anymore. So I built a lot of trust with them knowing that they wouldn't recommend unnecessary procedures. Highly recommend this dental office.

This dentist refused to pull an infected tooth because of fear that it could (crack more) break,…read morepossibly affecting HIS insurance from malpractice?!! And he would only refer me to a very VERY expensive oral surgeon that required upfront payment of $2700 to pull my infected tooth. So, unable to afford that, I lived with it for another year and a half while it caused me much further suffering and pain. I finally found a qualified dentist who was willing to do the extraction for a mere $40 - at The Denture Company Boise. He was very kind and very fast. Helped me on the very same day I went in. Do yourself a favor and AVOID White Pine Dental at all costs. Their X-rays and referrals cost me MORE than the other dentist who actually DOES the work. The BBB should shut White Pine down.
