Spoke with Allen Madlock about purchasing a used vehicle. My wife and I applied for financing around 4:40PM EST on 12/18/2025. Later that same evening we were contacted via phone by Allen and informed that we were approved. I informed Allen via text that we would be at the dealership around 9-9:30am the next day (12/19/2025) to see the vehicle. Allen then told us (via text) that the specific vehicle we inquired about had been sold. I have all emails and texts to corroborate this. This dealer will sell a vehicle out from under you and leave you with the hit/damage to your credit score. We were approved and made arrangements to get the vehicle the next day, but the vehicle was sold out from under us. Potential buyers beware! I bought a car from them, and ended up not following through on the purchase. Upon returning the vehicle within 3 days, they told me I'd get my full down payment refunded back to my card. After nearly a MONTH, I received only $700, and couldn't get anyone to give me a straight answer on when I'd get the other $300 other than, "they're working on it right now." I finally got ahold of the GM of the store, and he was just a huge asshole. Told me because I put miles on the car they wouldn't give me the $300 back, even though MARY SPEARMAN told me I would. First I was called and told its $2,000 over MSRP then Jason called and said "I'm not sure if you heard but ALL Kia dealerships are now at $6,000 over MSRP". WORST EXPERIENCE. if I could give no start I'd give NO STARS. no stars from me. I was contacted by 3 Lima sales associates on 5/3/23 and one from Findley about a vehicle I had previously inquired about on their webpages. I received two phone calls in addition from two additional associates so 6 different associates about THE SAME vehicle "ON" the Toledo Kia lot. I was told they would transport it to Lima for me and THEY booked me An appointment for the following day in the evening to test drive (I had every intention to buy because Iv been looking for this vehicle for about 8 months) I get to Lima and NO CAR. it's not there nor was it ever on the Toledo lot apparently. nor is it with in 200miles of the dealership. the man who met me at the door never told me his name, didn't shake my hand, did not apologize for the fact I drove an hour to get to that lot. that they didn't have the car. nothing-acted like "oh well not my problem ". I had asked to talk with Tom the manager and he was "busy" so NO STARS FROM ME . THEY DID HOWEVER TRY TO GET ME TO BUY A DIFFERENT CAR. it wasn't real clean and some of the salepersons work phones were on the floor. this was kinda janky. I went in on Nov. 1st to see if I won anything on their moneython. They talked me into buying a 2017 Kia Soul Plus, when I specified that I could not afford no more than $150 a month. I am paying 394.11 a month for that car, with a service contract and gap insurance they talked me into. They told me they would pay off my 3600 dollar credit card debt. It was over a month before I received the check and over a month before I received my title memorandum. Most Car Salesman's are Con Artists. I spent 6.5 hours there on Nov. 1st and 5 different sales persons spoke with me telling me different things. The Soul had 44,000 miles on it. 14,980 was the cash price and my balance due was 22,841.16. I am a low income senior. The credit debt they said they would pay off was added to my total due. That was the final lie. The 3600 is at 8.5% for 72 months. That is not giving, that is Taking. read more

If I could put negative stars I'd put -5! We went to look at a vehicle we were approved for but it was in such horrid shape the salesman said they needed to send it back to repair. We asked if anything else was in our price range. As we are sitting there we hear the sales manager yelling at the sales guy saying things like just send them home I don't care what you tell them then YELLS out I DON'T GIVE A F*** at that point I looked at my husband and said we are done here that was so wildly unprofessional and disturbing. DO NOT EVER, EVER, EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PIRATES!!! Bought a brand new 2019 Kia Optima from them. The CAR is absolutely perfect: I Love it. NO problems with the car itself. But the DEALERSHIP??? OMG!!! Nothing BUT hassles! Tried to take advantage of our naiveté and 'slip in' a $2000 extended warranty, (which we never asked for nor did we want), and when we questioned the finance manager about why that price we were paying was higher than the price we agreed to with the salesman, we were outright lied to and told that the discrepancy was do to "tags, title, tax and finance fees". LIES! We have owned the car for over two weeks now, and the dealership STILL HAS NOT delivered all that we were promised, AND the paperwork for the loan was incorrectly submitted to the finance company by the dealership, so we STILL cannot properly register through BMV. KIA financing has already sent us at least TWO payment letters with payment arrangements, BUT ON THE WRONG CAR! Contacted KIA Financing, over a week ago about the WRONG paperwork, and KIA Financing told us that it "Was up to US to make the corrections!!!!" Wanna buy a new KIA? Go to Ricart Kia in Columbus! Worst experience of my life! At Taylor Kia: 1) the customer is always last 2) they never keep their promises 3) they never call back when they say they will 4) they will make you wait hours for simple tasks 5) they are as shady as they come Long story short, I'm stuck paying over $1,600 for a bent rear axle and bent shock mount on a 2016 Hyundai Elantra that I had nothing to do with. Their so called service team "claimed" it was in a "fresh" accident when there wasn't any body damage whatsoever. Both the repair shops I went to said there was no way they could tell when the axle was bent and with the placement of where it was bent it wasn't in an accident. One mechanic said more than likely when the car was repossessed the person towing the car hooked it wrong. My wife and I dealt with many of Taylor Kia's staff and managers and kept getting the runaround for weeks. Every time we would talk to someone different, they said they would call back they didn't. General Sales Manager Brandon Pedraza (coward), the person who was suppose to be dealing with us, never call us back after leaving 5 messages by my wife and I on multiple days. He was suppose to get a hold of a Shane who was suppose to make the decision, but of course he didn't even want to hear a word I had to say. My wife wanted to talk to Steve Taylor (who likes to hide and doesn't take personal calls) and talked to an Alex that went nowhere as well. Overall, I'm just very frustrated that Taylor Kia completely screwed me over. I know there are many other customers Taylor Kia screwed over that they heartlessly turned the other way on just like me, but just remember.... bad karma will eventually get those who are greedy and uncompassionate. read more

I strongly advise against using this dealership. When I bought a used car from them two years ago, they told me that the car I had agreed to purchase "came with" paint insurance. Then, they snuck it in as a nearly $2000 line-item that wasn't disclosed until I had already signed to accept delivery of the car. I will not do business with them again. Since then, they have called and texted me several times, generally around the anniversary of the purchase of my car in July. Last year, I informed them they had no chance of getting additional business from me, and to remove me from my call list. In June this year, they texted me again, and I told them again to remove me from the list. I got yet another text from them today. I called the salesman who texted me, a man named Dave. I'll admit, I wasn't very nice, but I wasn't profane, simply insistent that they stop contacting me. Dave hung up on me. In summary: they will be disingenuous, persistent, and rude. I purchased a car from Taylor KIA Lima, OH in Feb 2016. I have regretted it since! The vehicle I purchased did not come with a warranty because it wasn't a KIA.....they offered me a warranty I could purchase at $200 per month...OUCH! Well now it is June, 4 months later and it is HOT out...the air will not work, although it was advertised and sold on the claim it had "ice cold air". Did I test it? Yes, in February when it was cold out....it worked great! I took it there to see what they would do for me and they stated they would fix it for $500....because I bought it without warranty and cannot prove it didn't work in Feb when purchased.... I spend upward of $15,000 and you won't fix it? WOW, and I was looking to purchase a new truck next year, they will not get my business! Then they said since I was there, they would go ahead and give me my monthly free hand wash and detailing, awesome, thank u! WELL I got the car back DIRTIER than before they pulled it into service! It looks like they ran a wet paper towel over the outside of it...there are white pieces stuck to it all over! The inside looks the same! I'm not sure what is going on with their business but I am SO upset and DO NOT recommend purchasing a vehicle from them! read more

I purchased my car in August of this year 2016. The salesperson told me that they had new tires on my car which they looked new to me because they washed the car before I drove off the lot. I did not pay much attention to the tires since the sales person that sold me the car said they were brand new. The car looked great! I was so excited to have a newer car, well it is 4 months later and I have a bulge on the side of my tire so I scheduled an appointment for them to replace. I was having issues with my tire pressure in all four tires since it has been getting cold and that is when I noticed the bulge on the side of the tire. I have the GRIP warranty which turns out will not replace it unless I have a blowout. I only wanted that one tire looked at because of the bubble on the side and it took them 2.5 hours just to look at it to tell me oh my warranty will not replace it. The service advisor told me that all my tires are dry rotted too which I did not understand and I told him that the sales person told me they were brand new so how are they dry rotted? He told me to go talk to the sales manager since the sales person told me they were brand new and my warranty was not covering that one tire. I got back to the sales managers office and told him what was going on and he was telling me that the warranty will not cover the bulge tire and they cannot replace all four of my tires that have dry rotted due to the fact that I do not have evidence of the sales person telling me they were brand new. I was upset at this time because I told him what do you want me to do because I drive all over with my four year old daughter and I know driving on a tire that has a bulge can cause your tire to blow at any moment and I started to cry because I do not have the money at this time of year to replace all of my tires and to think that I may get into an accident due to the fact that "what if I am in the car with my daughter and am unable to control the car because of the tires" It is Christmas next week so money is very tight and I am not paying for those tires when I pay for my warranty. What do we even pay for the warranty's for if they do not even cover anything. The manager pretty much told me that my tires do actually have to blow before the warranty will cover them. SO MERRY XMAS TO ME! I will NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THEM AGAIN. Oh also did I mention that within the 2.5 hours I was there, every car that came in also needed their tires filled. Only one person actually had service maintenance done. I was also talking to a lady who bought her truck 7 months ago and she has been waiting and getting the run around because she needed her tire replaced but they never ordered it. She called everyone until finally they had it in today so she drove all the way from Van Wert to have her one tire done. She was there for 4 hours when I got there. They found out her one other tire was bad too so they replaced it as well but they also had to break off her lug nuts because they did not have the anti theft key for them. So she had to wait even longer for them to get her tires on. I do not understand how it takes them so LONG to have tires replaced. Mine was not even replaced due to the sales person lying and due to the fact the warranty will not replace tires unless they blow or get a nail stuck in them, or the rim bends. After I got my keys back, I drove to Walmart and it only took one person 5 minutes to tell me that all my tires are dry rotted and need replaced. I had to special order two tires which will be there in a few days and will not cost as much as what they would be from Taylor Kia. I do not understand why it took Taylor Kia 2.5 hours to only look at one tire and not even replace it. It is a joke! I hope to get this car paid off and be done with dealing with them because they should not be allowed to sell a car that has all dry rotted tires in the first place let alone give out a warranty for tires that you also pay for in your payments and not even replace the tires when they actually need replaced. I did not drive that far on those tires, yes it was four months ago but my tires should not have been in this bad of a shape. read more
