Water leak and damage from a freeze crack in our water heater.
    Kevin M.

I have delayed putting in a review as I really wanted to get the feel for the RV and the company that sold her to us in February. We lovingly called our RV Stella. Stella's been a good home as we've been full-time RVing since late March. Although there's been some quirks, there had not been a serious issue. That is until about two weeks ago when we discovered a water leak. According to General RV in Birch Run MI, they said it was a freeze split in the water heater that had been there for sometime by looking at the water stains. We bought the RV, "as is", with no warranty other than the power train. His technicians combed through Stella and noted that she was good to go without issues. When we paid cash for her, a person tried to pressure us into purchasing an extended warranty. I used to sell extended warranties and understand that it's the company betting that they're going to pay less than repairs over that timeframe so we said no. I called and spoke to the owner of Finley Truck and RV to see if he would stand behind his technicians and pay a part the $2171 I paid General RV to replace the water heater. The water heater is self was around $900 and the labor was $1125. Regretfully the owner said no and that I overpaid. He remarked he would have done the whole thing for $600! I told him that I appreciated his thoughts but I was nowhere near Findlay, Ohio, and that I was not asking for a full refund, but rather he take a small bite of the apple I had to pay for. He still said no. That's our review of Findlay Truck & RV.

I found Findlay Truck and RV from RV Trader website. They had a 2018 Jayco Seneca motorhome similar to one I was considering buying but 2 years newer and 14K miles less on the odometer. I was inexperienced buying from an out if state dealer, but Jim May treated me like family. In fact, the entire staff makes you feel like family. I flew from Baltimore, took a test drive and was sold! The tech spent over an hour showing me all the details and one staffer actualky escorted my wife to return our rental car and brought her back. The service was downright neighborly! Jim even texted me after my 500 mile journey home to check on me.

Back in the Summer of 2019 I was looking at RV's thinking it would be nice to have one. I wasn't really serious about purchasing one until I happened upon the Coachmen Prism. Once I saw this RV, I immediately became a serious buyer. After searching for months, I happened upon one at Findlay Truck & RV in OH. I opened the tab and on RV Trader and would refresh it every day. Eventually, the price dropped and I noticed it was the lowest priced Prism in the entire Country. At that point, I contacted Findlay through the contact form on RV Trader's website. Jim May, the owner, was quick to respond and provided me answers to my questions. After I was satisfied with his responses, I gave him a deposit to hold the RV for me. I then filled out their online application for financing, was approved, and scheduled a time to pick up the RV. I rented a car and drove 8-hours from SEPA to Findlay, OH. I dropped the car off at Enterprise. Jim picked me up and took me to the dealership. Upon arrival, I was shown the RV. One of his techs walked me through everything and showed me how it all works. Afterward, I went into the office, filled out some paperwork, provided my down payment, and I was on my way back home. One thing that I wasn't happy about was the need to fill the tank when I left the dealership. It had 1/2-tank. I've worked at many car dealerships (Big and small) over the years and purchased/sold around 45-50 personal vehicles. All have had their tanks topped off if purchased/sold from a dealer. It's not a big deal, though, especially considering the amount of money I saved over other basically identical RV's. It has now been just over a year since I purchased this RV. On my first time out, I did find out that the water pump inlet hose was not connected properly, and thus was leaking. I fixed this by attaching it correctly and it was good to go. The WIF (Water in Fuel) light has been on since shortly after purchase, but I have drained it several times and it has been fine. This seems to be an issue with some Sprinters that the wires are pulled too tight and cause this light to come on. Again, no problem. With that said, I have been out 19-times to different campgrounds, state parks, and a county park in PA, NJ, and VA, with several more planned trips before the year is out. This RV has allowed me to spend more time with my pups on our trips, work remotely from the RV, and even have the RV as a backup office when my house lost power during summer storms. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase and would recommend Findlay Truck & RV to others.

My wife and I spent five days negotiating a deal on a Yukon. We secured financing, underwent hard credit pulls, and reached a final agreement around 3:00 PM on a Tuesday. We were told the deal was settled and were instructed to arrange transportation for my trade-in vehicle and send a deposit once shipping was confirmed. Within an hour, I had secured vehicle transport and informed the salesperson that my vehicle would be picked up the following day. I received no response until 9:00 AM the next morning, when I was informed that the Yukon had been sold the previous afternoon because my deposit had not been received in time. Technically, they may be within their rights. However, the reality is that my deposit would not have been seen or processed until the next business day anyway--around the same time I received their response. After five days of negotiations and being told we had a deal, it felt like our commitment meant very little. What made the situation even more frustrating was that they immediately attempted to sell me a different vehicle from their inventory rather than address what had happened. In the end, we were left with a hard credit inquiry, time and money spent arranging transportation, and no vehicle. Nothing illegal occurred, but the experience left us feeling like just another number rather than a valued customer. If all things are equal, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. A deal should mean something, and customers deserve better communication and follow-through than what we experienced.

I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere if at all possible. I recently went to look at a vehicle advertised online at 20k. When I decided to purchase and pay cash (finance through my credit union), they told me I would be forced to pay a penalty up-charge of $4,000! I was literally told I had chosen the only vehicle on the lot that could not avoid this penalty charge and the only way to avoid it, was to finance through the dealership with their interest rates. When I asked for a manager to verify this obviously made up charge, they lied and gave me the receptionist's number instead! DO NOT SHOP THERE. I understand car salesman have to be aggressive in their field of work, but honesty and integrity should be a requirement as well! The lengths men like this will go to scam is disgusting. These kind of shiesty people are what make customers nervous about the entire car buying experience. DO BETTER, TAYLOR HYUNDAI!!!!!!

The results were better than I'd even hoped: residues of various kinds buffed off the exterior, all stickers removed from windows as requested, interior absolutely spotless with vinyl and leather reconditioned. Mine is a 14 year-old car that not been detailed in 5 years and it looks almost brand new! The only (minor) issues: *Floor mats were very wet and needed two full days to dry *Communication with main service dept very poor- when car was returned to me, I was told to pay at the detail shop. When I drove back to detail shop, was told I needed to pay at dealership down the road or pay over phone with cc. A minor inconvenience, but one that could have easily been avoided. *Website does clearly state that headlight restoration is a separate fee. I will definitely be recommending this detailing service. "Serious concerns about paperwork and signatures - documentation included."…read more My experience with Taylor Kia of Findlay has been extremely distressing and is still ongoing. My husband and I are both permanently disabled. I live with autism and PTSD, which makes high-pressure environments very difficult for me. Despite clearly stating multiple times that we could not afford and did not want to take out a loan, we left the dealership in a situation where a loan had been created in our name. Several serious issues occurred during this process that I am now disputing. * Documents containing my signature that I did not sign. One document shows a computer timestamp of 5:07 PM on Dec 18, 2025 and contains my signature. However, our home security camera shows my husband arriving to pick me up at our home, and we did not pull away until 6:04 PM. The dealership is approximately 1.3 miles away. This timeline raises serious questions about how that document was completed. * Repeated or identical signatures across multiple documents. Several signatures appear identical and do not match how I am physically able to sign my name today due to medical limitations. * High-pressure sales environment. At one point I raised my voice after repeatedly explaining that we could not afford the vehicle and did not want financing. * Significant financial discrepancy. Vehicle valuation sources such as Kelley Blue Book show a large difference between estimated vehicle value and the loan amount currently listed in my Capital One account. Because of these concerns, I have begun filing complaints and requesting assistance from several organizations, including: the Ohio Attorney General Disability Rights Ohio the Autism Society I am also preparing documentation to present to law enforcement regarding the disputed signatures. This situation has caused extreme financial and emotional stress for our household. I am sharing this experience so that other consumers--especially disabled consumers--can be aware and take extra care when dealing with this dealership. I hope this situation can be corrected and resolved appropriately. If you have read my BBB complaint, The business letter clearly did not touch any type of topic that would lead to my meaning of resolved appropriately. I do plan on clarifying the reasons very soon. There is only so much space in a review to detail more than I already have.
