Friendly staff. Smooth process from beginning to end. They took the extra time to find me the best finance rate for my credit score.

I am happy with the outcome and am raising my review from a 1 star to a 4. The only way it could have been a 5 is if this issue had never happened. With that said a few additional thoughts. 1. I have corrected my original review. I said the online booking showed $199 for the transmission fluid and filter, that was incorrect. It was $279, my mistake as I was going from memory when I put $199. 2. According to the service manager these prices are set by Chrysler, not the dealership. My best guess here (and this is just my opinion/guess) is that $279 is the competitive price that someone set (Chrysler or the dealership doesn't matter) but what they charged me was the "book rate" for the labor portion of the service. For those that don't know all dealerships have predetermined hours that a job should take. That is what the manufacturer must reimburse the dealership for on warranty work and recall work. The actual time to do the job can be WAY different though. The book rate for my transmission work may have been 2.5 hours for example, but in reality it takes a skilled tech less than an hour to complete the work. Glenbrook is not the only dealership to blindly charge book rate (if that is what happened), they all do it, and it is why I normally don't take my cars to the dealership for anything other than warranty work. Final thought, they made it right so I will go back, but I still generally stay away from dealerships for non warranty work. If they start charging fair market price for service instead of what I assume is book rate I would go to them more often for non warranty work. Original (updated to correct my pricing error): Made an online appointment for a transmission filter and fluid change as well as to have a recall completed. The online price for the transmission fluid and filter was about $279 but we will call it $300. There were no envelopes to put my keys in when I dropped it off the night before. Although I entered my phone number online they did not have it to call and tell me the status of my car. The worst was the price. The "$300" transmission filter and fluid change was over $500! No additional work was completed. No, I did not even ask about it. If this is the game that you are playing I am going to pay and leave. You will never get any of my money again for service or a vehicle so I hope it was worth it to screw me this one time. No wonder people will not go to dealerships for service.

Spent the weekend doing my research. Went out and prescreened vehicles on a Sunday. Showed up on…read moreMonday to BUY one of two. "Hopefully your not expecting the internet price, because they are all wrong." After, I told them I had been looking online and wanted to test drive two vehicles, after I test drove. Why did you waste my time? No respect for time and they don't respect their own prices. $8k more almost a 20% difference! If you don't know how to work a website and the internet, it's time to upgrade management. In addition, they were both brand new vehicles, and one of them had spilled sticky stuff in the back and over 200 miles - probably from staff taking home the new cars instead of used... GME broom Dodge you've lost your professionalism and self respect.

I found the truck I liked on a google search and one of the choices was Preferred Auto. Their truck was my second choice but stopped there first to check on one unit. Toyota Tundra pickup truck. Alex met us outside, but I was ready for his used car lot tactics. He was super nice, but I knew he was up to something. I told him I want to take the truck for a drive and he immediately agreed? Let me grab a plate... Ok, this guy was up to something. Heh heh, can't fool this old timer. We took the truck for a couple of hours, ran it by my mechanic. Advice from mechanic: Great truck, good price, go for it. Back to the lot... Alex met us and Jake the sales manager and then, holy shit, Jay the owner pops in! He's the dude you see on The Preferred Auto TV commercials. It was funny. Jake is his son. I made my offer, they counter offered with a vey fair price and we all shook hands. As it turned out also, my wife Lisa, knew Jay from high school, so that added another hour of shooting the breeze. I know this is my longest review. The buying experience at this car lot was so honest and upfront just super impressed me. Alex was great and thoughtful. Trust me, this is a great group of people selling cars! Plus you get free car washes for life! Good guys, go see 'em. Thank you Alex, we love the truck. Mike :)
