I was recommended Taylor by one of my college friends who had a great experience with him. Taylor was great to work with - he stands out as someone who is able to go the "extra mile" for his client and it was comforting knowing he was doing every thing he can to get me my dream home. After 3-4 years of trying to buy in our dream location, Rivermark, my husband and I finally landed our house after working with Taylor. We were working with a real estate agent friend but he encouraged us to try another route because the market was so competitive. We were referred to Taylor and decided to put all our eggs in one basket and work with him for this shot at Rivermark. He knew of a property coming soon and had us check it out before the open house so we had a bit of an advantage on having extra time to map out our offer and docs before the open house even happened. The owners wanted to wait til all the offers were in though so it was still anyones game. And of course, when it rains, it pours. We were dealing with this, my brand new job and having to be in NY with the worst flu ever, a death of a close friend, my dog diagnosed with terminal liver cancer and Taylor's newborn was due any day! Even through all the chaos the process was so seamless it felt as though no chaos was happening cause it was super smooth. He sent docs we could sign digitally, we texted back and forth every time he had an update, and hopped on the phone when necessary; all this while his baby came into the world! The day of the offers being reviewed, we weren't even the highest offer and there were other all cash offers, but Taylor assured us we were a strong offer. When it came down to final negotiations, I wanted to go all in and offer more but Taylor advised we could likely get it for less so we followed his lead. Everyone's needs and expectations from their real estate agent are different. We were looking for someone who we felt comfortable working with, who wasn't pushy, who would give their honest opinion and who could get our offer accepted in a competitive market. We weren't looking for someone who could understand our wishlist and show us houses on the market that met our needs - we have plenty of online websites for that. We found exactly what we were looking for with Taylor. He is knowledgable about how homes are built, and can tell you what's good quality and what's not, what are the things to worry about and what are not! He give his full attention to you when you are touring houses with him, even if you go well over the scheduled time. He will guide you through the process and answer all your questions, but **you also need to do your own homework and make sure you are asking the right questions.** He is persistent with seller's agents once your offer is sent. He will keep calling the seller agents to get your offer accepted even in the middle of his anniversary dinner! (True story!) And he's super fun, making the entire house hunting process enjoyable instead of stressful! We have heard horror stories of people putting 10, 15, 20 offers on different houses before getting their offer accepted, and having to make compromises along the way. We did not experience that at all! We got our offer accepted in the second try! First house that we put an offer on, we had an upper limit in mind and did not want to go beyond that. Taylor, through his persistence, got the number of the highest offer and gave us an opportunity to raise our offer. But we passed. Taylor is an extremely hard working realtor to a point where it almost feels like he's biting off more than he can chew but together with his team he always has you covered. There was never a question for which he did not already know the answer or could not find it easily.
