We wanted to get a head start of hurricane season before it got the best of us this year! Thus far, the joke's on us as we've not seen much activity yet this year. But, that's okay! It took a hot minute for our service to happen (just over a month from the time we got the estimate.) We didn't expect that... but apparently Curtis & his crew are in demand! It was well worth the wait, tho! Using a lift, they removed ALL dead foliage from our trees, removed overgrown branches, stacked all yard waste in a pile and then loaded it all into a dump truck via skid steer for same day removal! Aside from spruced up trees & tracks in the yard (think lawn mower tracks not muddy ruts!) from the skid steer -- no sign that they had even been there! He told me that the the service was $25 per time he mows the lawn. We were interested in a monthly billing and negotiated down to $85 per month. We offered to pay the same rate on the winter when the grass does not grow and no mowing is necessary to ensure the same low rate $85 per month for weekly mowing. In the winter he came every 2 weeks which is expected because the grass does not grow. Bu throughout the spring and now into the summer her kept only coming every 2 weeks. So instead of our negotiated $21.25 per mow he was charging me $42.50 per mow. I called him to discuss it and his explanation was that it is actually more work for him to let my lawn get tall and unruly then mow it every 2 weeks instead. He said I could feel free to cancel at any time. That is exactly what I did, and so should you. You should find a neighborhood Kid to mow your lawn. The kid is less likely to rip you off. If you wand a mediocre lawn care service and a high potential of getting ripped off I highly suggest this company.
