This is in response to Ernie B owner at Taylor Rentals, regarding my complaint. (Below). You thought you'd get away with that response. Oh no. On the contrary Mr. Ernie B, you will not! Way to gas light your custmors. Shame on you! I walked into your store with a happy and positive attitude, only to be treated as if I were in the way. First of all I am allowed to make this public. Too bad if you don't like it. I have given an honest and fair review based on your manager who had a bad attitude when she wasn't doing her job, and didn't like it when I asked her to help me. I couldn't care less if you like her. To quote you..."We unfortunately encountered a person who despite any and all reasonable efforts to make her satisfied, we simply could not make happy" is a bare faced lie! I asked her to help me because she was doing paper work, rather than helping the customer. When I asked her, sit was obvious she didn't like it. When I asked her to email me a quote, she gave me 'smirk' face with no eye contact, and an attitude. Despite this, I remained pleasant. She said she would email me the quote, and I said 'thank you.' Then she chose not to email me my quote out of sheer spite. And all because she didn't like it that I said. "Are you able to help me today?" And this is how you do business? This isn't a business. It's a joke! No wonder I wasn't happy. I have a right not to be happy if your business is not up to par. It's your job to address an unhappy customer and see how you can make it better. Not gaslight them, and stick up for your rude employee! Since you insist on gaslighting your customers, I'll be blasting my reviews, and your response to 20,000 in SLO county. Ernie B...here's some advice. Be very careful how you treat your loyal customers. The public can make or break your business. Any normal business owner would have responded with ...."I'm so sorry you had a negative experience in our store. How can we make it better for you." You're a bad business owner who refuses to take responsibility for your shitty staff! To those reading this, my review is an honest account of how I was treated. Poor customer service, and a bad attitude. If you scroll down and read some of the other reviews on other pages, you will see that I am not the only unsatisfied customer. I never complain. I used Taylor Rentals in Paso Robles to supply items for my husband's birthday party. I was totally impressed with the entire process. From the time we entered the store we were treated very professionally, and the products we rented were excellent.....tables, chairs, tableclothsWe were especially impressed with the delivery crew, Dillon, Cameron, and Johnny......from the time they arrived at our home to deliver and set up the items we had rented, they showed great attitudes, very professional, and knowledgeable in what they were doing. It is not often in todays society that we see young adults such as these three gentlemen acting in such a respectful and professional manner. I own an inn and we host some private parties and weddings here in Arroyo Grande. Taylor Rentals offers really competitive pricing AND we love that they are also open on Saturdays--no other companies are to our knowledge. So if there is an additional table needed or an emergency need comes up last minute, in a pinch it is great to have access to them on the day of an event where we can grab something if they have it available. I work with several young ladies at Taylor (Kelsy and Kayla) who are very knowledgable about what's popular and they offer great suggestions to our couples who visit in person and select what they want style wise. If they don't have a specific item, they will freely share another local provider that does have that color or style--I think that is super classy, they put the bride first and are not competitive but helpful. I have met the owner Ernie, and his manager, Misha, has come out twice on site to measure and offer suggestions of how a given guest count can be set based on a couple's special wishes. They also have been very generous to some of our local charities with fundraising events I see them supporting. Giving back to locals in need here on the Central Coast is very cool. I want to support other companies that value their community and like that several of our local rental companies do this and help out. Has Taylor ever had an error or made a mistake? Yes, but for us --in the last four years of using them, they always have made it right and it is a rare exception. They have driven back to change out a broken rental and do not make an issue doing it. I was surprised to read any poor reviews about the quality of their linens and equipment, we have done many weddings and events here at The Casitas and we have NOT seen this. Even their delivery guys are super nice and cordial. My experience has been that they go beyond the call and help us out to get the rentals here so the couples have a great event. I have heard from a few caterers that thought they had issues with turnover and keeping good employees, but I know this had to be several years ago. They should really try them again, since we have had consistent support from their team and it's been very positive. I also made a mistake this year on an order. I felt bad and they called ME to say it was okay--they are very giving and really work to do their best for their customers. read more

I rented from Taylor rents for a wedding rehearsal dinner at my home. Delivery and set up was on time. Now comes the bad part, the chairs were filthy, the $2500.00 tent was rusty and in need of restoration. The water barrels they used to hold down the tent were also really dirty and the table cloths sent were of two different colors when only white was ordered. When I called Taylor Rental all they said was "sorry", no discount offered. When you order all white linens and half are off white it looks awful especially with rusty and dirty tent and tables. I would not recommend them. They told me on the morning when they arrived to drop off stuff for my wedding that they had little time as they had another event to drop off at. Way to make me feel like a valued customer, especially when I'm paying them thousands of dollars. The guys did a good job setting up the lights and the stuff we rented was good quality (except some of the chairs were broken already but we didn't need them all anyway). My biggest gripe though is they dropped the chairs off so far away from where they needed to go so we had to spend so much time we didn't have to load them up and drive them where they did need to go (and unload them once there) and that the plastic they use to wrap and store the string lights, well they cut it off as they were hanging the lights and left a bunch of them just all around the venue. I had to spend time an hour or so before my rehearsal picking them up, as if that was the best use of my time. I'm sure there is better quality rentals out there. read more

I just utilized Taylor Rental for my wedding on the weekend of June 21st 2014. We rented 8 large umbrellas and 30-something navy linens. They have been at our venue (See Canyon Fruit Ranch) many times, so drop-off and pickup was incredibly stress-free. They dropped off everything on Friday and picked it up on Sunday or Monday (not sure, but it worked out great!). They accept changes over the phone (assuming it's early enough) and were happy to give me updated prices/invoices as our wedding requirements changed. I would recommend them to others. read more

For years I've used Taylor for my work's event needs. Words cannot describe how great their staff (De Ana rocks!) is. They've got an array of styles, sizes and colors for any of your event ideas. Delivery and pick up is always timely and it's also great to go to the showroom and check things out. It's the only place in the North County I look to for event rental needs. read more

This is a review for the wonderful customer service I got from Hannah at Taylor Rentals. She always got back to me quickly, was really helpful and pleasant on the phone ( even calling our chef to get some clarification on what we needed) and really tried to accommodate our short notice needs. She revised her quotes promptly to reflect the changes in our plans and sent pictures of their lovely linens ( best I've seen from rental places). I had a great experience with Taylor Rental until they charged my debit card twice - 2 weeks after I rented from them! I rented champagne flutes from the Paso Robles store on a Friday, and they asked I return them on Monday, 3/30. The flutes are returned as promised, but without a word, I view my bank online statement on 4/11 with two separate transactions equaling $130.87 (the flutes were only $31 something to rent mind you). They say I never returned the flutes, and unfortunately a receipt was never given so they have to wait for their "dishwasher" to return on Monday to count the dishes and report back...I am afraid they cleared someone else's account!! Clearly not a very thorough place to work with, and I would be afraid that they might charge your card at any moment (or twice -- which doesn't even make sense except that there are clearly fraudulent charges happening here.) Skip the hassle and find another place to use...it's not worth it. read more

My best friend put on a wedding for his sister and had a horrible experience with Taylor rental. To start, they sent him the wrong chairs.... When he called the "emergency hotline" nothing was answered in time to switch them out. The chairs that we did get we're extremely dirty. They offered to pick up the equipment for free but didn't show up on the day they were supposed to and when they finally did the 2 guys were not friendly at all and didn't say more than 2 words to us. You would think they would at least be a little nice since this is a business and this is a pretty small town! You guys might want to re-examine the way you operate. read more

We used taylor rental for my best friends wedding and it took so much stress off the bride and grooms families. They had everything we needed and I was surprised at the large selection. They have way better options than the venues that all look the exact same. We didn't want a wedding that looked like all the other weddings haha. Taylor rentals was completely unprofessional with the way they handled things. They arrived late to sent up the tent and sat around for 3 hours claiming they were cleaning the top of the tent. They took down the tent 2 days late and lied 3 different times saying they were coming that day/morning. They left the barrels, chairs, trash, and champagne glasses after taking down the tent which required another phone call and a late pickup from them, and they only took the chairs and barrels. They left the champagne glasses for a week after the tent came down and also lied about picking them up the same day (it was 4 days later than they said they would). They tried to give a discount in order for they're shitty service, but I do not recommend Taylor Rentals if you want things taken care of professionally and in a timely manner. read more

This is my second time renting from Taylor Rentals. The first time I placed a very small order. The pick-up/drop-off for that order went really smoothly. I actually wasn't sure what type of coffeemaker to order and so I guessed. Before the end of the day, customer service from Taylor Rentals called to clarify what exactly my needs were and I am so glad they did. They saved me some money and made sure it meet my needs exactly. The second time I was placing a large order for a fundraising event my club puts on. The club needs are very particular and require a great deal of attention to detail and styling. The customer service staff at TR went above and beyond to meet our needs and provide suggestions on what might work best. They were incredibly polite, kind, and genuine in their time with us. I felt like a treasured customer and I really appreciated how invested in us and our event they were.
