Just great service and a great atmosphere . I have been to a couple of Taylor Taylor salons but this is my favourite . I always have a free cocktail at their bar while I wait and all the stylists are so welcoming. I last had my hair cut with Luke and then a balayage with Paige and they were both amazing . Poor customer service. They have a history of moving appointments on you at the last minute, saying the cost will be the same but actually increasing it, prioritising others, long waits. Just rude. I will be looking for another hair salon! read more

I used to go to Taylor Taylor hairdressers in Portobello Rd a few years ago. My usual stylist left, and I went elsewhere. I was now looking for a new hairdresser and thought I'd go back to Taylor Taylor and try someone different. I booked a cut and blow-dry with Ryan. My appointment was at 2pm. I have very poor health so have to manage my time carefully. I arrived at the salon a little early as I try not to be late for appointments. The receptionist, a sweet lady, told me Ryan was with another client and that he was running 20 minutes late and that I would have to wait for him to finish. Which, as I was early, would mean a 30-minute wait. I was furious, who wants to sit in a noisy salon for half an hour? Not me. My appointment was for 2pm and Ryan should have been ready for me. At £90 a cut, it's the least I expect. The receptionist told me that maybe I could have a free treatment. Had I wanted that, I would have booked it along with my blow-dry. Treatments just add extra time to my appointment? I came all the way from Putney and was exhausted by the time I arrived. Cancer treatment does that to you. Ryan my time is just as important as yours and making clients wait is just plain disrespectful! I walked out, never to return. When I booked my appointment on-line, a notice came up saying that you could only ring if you wanted a colour appointment. Why is that?? I could have explained on the phone that it was vital that my haircut needed to be done at the time booked. Poor show. read more

Was amazing experience. Popped in for wash and blow dry before returning to states and Jamie adding a trim , which really was a renewal for my tired old hair. Well done and thank you will return next time I am in London. read more

Fantastic new hairdressers in Ladbroke Grove. I've been getting my haircut with Taylor Taylor in Shoreditch for a couple of years and this new salon has raised the bar. Really friendly staff, great decor and drinks, and of course amazing haircuts!!! Thoroughly recommended. read more

Went here for balayage colour with Sam, and it absolutely wrecked my hair, to the point where I've had to have it all cut off, and what I have left is still extremely damaged. I'd gone to her a couple of times for balayage - and while she is very good at what she does - both times the condition of my hair got way worse (even with the supposedly miracle working Olaplex treatment). This third and fatal time, I'd explained about how damaged my hair was, and said I only wanted a couple of streaks of blonde through the fringe to brighten it up. Sam said that was cool, and promised to not go over any bits that had already been bleached. Then she started balayaging my head ALL over, so I had to pay for a full head of highlights. Plus, she completely covered all the existing bleach, after saying she wouldn't. After they put the toner on, it made my highlights go a dirty brown. So Sam took me to the sink and scrubbed more peroxide through my hair to get it out, which I'm sure can't have helped. I came away feeling annoyed, but not like it was the end of the world, because they got their top blowdry guy to give me an incredible blowdry which made my hair feel amazing. But once I got round to washing and drying it myself, my hair was a matted mess of hay, and completely unmanageable. Having seen two hairdressers since, who both said they wouldn't have gone NEAR my hair with more bleach with the condition it was in, I can't help feeling it was irresponsible for Sam to bleach my hair to the extent she did. I would have much rather she'd said my hair was too damaged, and I would have just had my roots coloured, and had a blowdry. I feel like they just wanted me to pay for a full set of balayage. My hair is completely ruined now, and I had to pay £200 for the privilege. I'm extremely upset. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE DAMAGED HAIR. read more

Really nice salon, I have visited regularly over the past couple of years and have always left the salon happy with my cut and colour. I feel they have quite a modern outlook yet all the stylists have still always listened to what I want. I'd recommend. read more

I have made an appointment with Zoe, booked half day off work but had a phone call 2 hours before my appointment was due that she called in sick, I have bene offered an alternative appointment with Daniel Palmer which I took. On my arrival he was extremely rude and unfriendly, when I told him that I would like lighter highlights his reply was: well I refuse to do highlights on your hair as I only see you with dark hair colour! I was shocked how rude he was. I asked to have a look at the hair colour chart to which he said that he will not be showing me the chart as the colour never looks the same on the hair as on the chart, I asked 3 times he refused, then I thanked me for wasting my time and walked out. I have never ever had such a rude customer service before, I wouldn't recommend this hair salon to anyone. read more

I live in London for part of each year and during my time here, I always need a haircut. I have difficult short, fine hair and though I have had a couple of decent haircuts elsewhere in London, I decided to try Taylor and Taylor. Sarah took time to find out what I was thinking and made sure that we were on the same page and kept checking back with me for any suggestions I had. She cut with assurance and I felt totally confident that my cut would turn out well, which it did. Best I have had in a very long time. The place is pretty and low key. Just moved to London and needed to find a salon (i'm VERY picky about my hair color). A hair stylist I met (that worked a little too far for me) recommended this place and I was not disappointed. Jenny did my color and I think it was James that did my cut. My color wasn't exactly what I wanted so called Jenny and she took me immediately to recolor it to get the exact look I wanted (at no charge). I would definitely recommend Jenny and she's really sweet too. James was great - did exactly what I wanted and didn't hack into my hair. I'll be going back! read more

I was new to London and thought I would try a fancy salon, was quite disappointed with my cut from Anthony. I asked for textured layers rather than blunt ones, and I ended up going elsewhere for another cut to get the layers I had wanted. I did walk out of there looking good, but the blunt ends were covered up by all the time he spent curling my hair and I didn't properly see how it was chopped until I washed my hair. read more
