Very well managed and with a great maintenance staff. If an issue ever arises it is always handled promptly

Taylor Woods began as a really nice apartment complex, but it was the management that ruined our experience. We lived there for five years in that time we found MOLD in our bathroom that broke the tile. The person in charge, THERESA waited SEVEN months before doing anything about it. I had to call corporate in order for them to do anything about it. When our washer broke, we waited WEEKS and their fix was to have us walk two apartment buildings over to wash our clothes- during the winter no less. Their maintenance man only dealt with my husband, never me (unfortunately he was apparently sexist), and once said he refused to come in because my dog (who was a two month old puppy at the time) was in the home- mind you, she was crated, but he lied and said she wasn't. They would walk into our homes and leave without ever letting us know they were there. It happened on THREE separate occasions. Once, we called the emergency maintenance line because we were locked out of our home at 11pm and he REFUSED to come because he didn't think it was an emergency. Unfortunately, with the exception of Tammy, they are all liars and really unprofessional. I am writing this review a year after I left because I am still dealing with their horridness. I had packages delivered there (which is my fault completely) so Tammy had to go retrieve them. They found one of the packages three months later (just last week); they provided times for when I can pick the items up, but they are NEVER there. So they don't even adhere to their own business hours. I guess having people lease apartments doesn't matter to them because they are never actually in the office. Everyone in the complex complains- they NEVER do their jobs (again, Tammy is the exception). Theresa is rude, condescending and unprofessional. She tried to belittle me in an email today, which was uncalled for. There are FAR more cost effective locations that are better in tune with their residents- STAY AWAY FROM TAYLOR WOODS. read more

not worth the money...management is rude and has zero respect for the residents. buildings are dirty. people don't know how to clean up their dog crap. dumpters are constantly overflowing and trash everywhere. management responds to nothing. even the management of the management does not respond. read more

I really hoped that all the reviews on here and on Google were wrong, but they were true. These people are straight up rude and childish. If you're going to talk behind your customers back, maybe make sure you put them on hold and they can't hear you. James Nesmith pretended to place us on hold and clearly stated "Ugh these people are trying so hard," as if you wouldn't be given the current housing market. From there, he and Tammy continued to trash talk until we just hung up. Totally unempathetic, but honestly I am glad that happened because I can't imagine the hell tenants must go through having these employees to go to for assistance. They are full of promises regarding the amenities, but fail to deliver. Whenever you inquire about an amenity that you were told was available, they are full of excuses. Also, the apartments are poorly constructed and cheap materials were used. You hear EVERY little noise coming from other apartments and the hallway. I feel this is very important to share so it is lengthy and I hope it helps. I hope more applicants would share their experiences both positive and negative regarding the Affordable Housing Unit experience at this property. As a follow up from my first very honest prior review, Nov. 30, 2016, here's what has transpired: This regards the "Affordable Housing" application process and the incompetent staff both on site and at (Triad), who supposedly "as a courtesy" oversaw the Lottery process-which was also misrepresented. The rents SHOWN were from $303.00-$1500.00 at the time of pre-qualify app process in Aug 2016. I was selected from the lottery and made it onto "a list". On the app I checked a 2 or a 1 bdrm. I did reach out several times between Sept 2016 and December 2016 in dire need of housing to inquire the status of my name on "the list". I was not allowed to know that info-They do not discuss that info. However-after being told I was 8th on the list, yet again the next time I was told that is not possible, so, back & forth communications took place between Taylor Woods on site staff and Triad. Finally on November 30th, btw, is one of the days I inquired, I received a cold letter stating that "there are and will not be any suitable units for my income level available on their property at that time nor in the foreseeable future and my name is now removed from all of their lists" OMGSH-in frustration I wrote many letters to the Triad chain of command and received a most rude response which did not even address many of my noted conversations with many staff from both on site and Triad. So- I get over it after a couple of weeks. Now-Friday past, (Jan. 27, 2017), I receive a call from a staff person at Taylor Woods advising me that my name has come up for a 2 bdrm apartment. WTHeck??? Confused, I explained what has taken place and she, Nadera, told me she wasn't aware of this info that she had to talk to her boss and would call me back the next day, being Sat. Jan 28, 2017. Have not heard a word since. I have all of my documentation and Monday will reach out to the Community Affairs, Affordable Housing, and the township itself. I wouldn't move there if they GAVE me an apartment. I will however hold them accountable for the unprofessional and very confusing ways they handled my application process and communications. They also stated that they never had a "very low" income bracket for one or two bdrms. FALSE. Well-I have it in writing from their very own website along with other misrepresentations and contradictions. I always presented myself in a mannerly and respectable fashion with them. Their left hand obviously does not know what the right hand is doing. You never mess with a person's home, money, family, or food. I also reached out to to the owner of the property itself and requested an appt. with him to explain all of this so he can insure it doesn't happen to anyone else. No response from them either. I am also on a waiting list (who isn't), at a different complex, and they happily let me know what number I am on the list whenever I call. I hope TW's is enjoying the profit they will make between the tax break they get for even having affordable units included on the property and the extreme high rents they are charging to regular applicants. I also believe the public should be made aware of exactly what percentage of units are set aside for "Affordable" and each bracket from very low-moderate. THAT should be public record. Please read my post before renting here!! I am a normal person I didn't get turned down because of bad credit; it was that this place sucked! I was living here when they first started building these "Luxury living Apartments" as they call them. The problems all stared the first day when my move in time was at 8am and no one showed up until 9am to get me my keys. The management team sucks, they are always new so when you have a problem they have no idea what you're talking about because it's a new person all the time! There was this girl Ashley who was great but got fired because the leasing agent was a B***H. (You get what I'm saying) They try to sell you this "Luxury living Apartments" aspect but the floors are cheap, the walls are painted with cheap contractor Sherman Williams white paint that takes about 3-4 coats to cover up anything that you had on the walls. I lived on the 3rd flood in a 1 bedroom and I am glad I did because the 2nd and 1st you hear nothing but foots steps above you because the floor is so thin! The carpet had nails sticking up and the floor kept coming apart. Also the paint job was bad there where paint drops everywhere even in the carpet. When I first moved in I had about 7 things that had to get fixed! (It was a brand new apartment!!!) The maintenance guy Chis is cool he hooked me up with getting out of this BS place. I bought a house and got the hell out of there because my rent was going up to $1,300-1,400. My mortgage is $1,400 and I have a new 1,700sqft home! The water bill is a joke; they say no matter how much water you use it's the same price. So if you're not there for 2 or 3 weeks because of vacation or a family emergency you still get charged a crazy amount I think it was $80 a month for water!? I just moved out of Taylor Woods but when I lived there I had only positive experiences. I loved the gym and the pool. A lot of parking available. Beautiful kitchens. Anytime I called the front office I had great interactions. Nicole in the front office was very helpful and kind. They really care about their tenets. I would 100% recommend this apartment complex! read more

Turn and RUN! I HIGHLY encourage you to not rent here. The owner of the property brings new meaning to the words cheap, narcissistic and racist. At first glance these places look nice. Take a closer look at the flooring. It is absolutely one of the cheapest vinyl flooring money can buy. The flat paint on the walls throughout the apartments is terrible and cheap. The units leak all around the complex. You can hear the neighbor above you change their minds the insulation between units is so bad. If anything breaks while you are there, he is going to try and charge you for it. I think in the 5 months I lived there there were no less that 10 units that had severe water damage. read more

Affordable housing at this place is a scam. They will tell you you're eligible and you need to pay a reservation fee ASAP, tell you you will receive a response within 3 days and then go on vacation, ignore your calls and wait a month to send you a rejection letter in the mail. Then they will make you wait an additional month for your refund - if you ever receive it. They also don't return calls or emails - unless of course you tell them you will be reporting them to NBC10 News for scamming senior citizens. From the other reviews on here, I can see my parents were not the only victims. Do not go to Taylor Woods. read more

I was very disturbed to receive the news that our application was declined, and that we are being denied the opportunity to lease an apartment in this community. We have rented many homes in many high end communities and never had an issue. I am a disabled combat veteran and most communities have welcomed us with open arms. When we spoke with the sales person, she mentioned there was an issue with "credit or credit history" and suggested that I call the company who runs your credit and background checks. I reviewed my report with one of their representatives; the representative could see no reason that our application would have been denied for credit, and she said "nothing is jumping out at me" and "if it is for credit than this requirement would be the highest I have ever seen." It seems like they are using credit as an excuse to discriminate since my credit is good enough to obtain a mortgage, but not good enough to rent in the sticks of NJ! read more
