They have award-winning sausages made on site, and also cure their own bacon, and make up their own beef burgers. There's a variety of stuffed or marinated meat, good for the bbq in the summer or for roasting in the winter. They make sausage rolls and pasties, and it's pretty hard to resist when you walk by and smell that baking! They were happy to give me bones for a dog for no charge. Anything you want, they'll get in for you. There's a small selection of produce and chutneys, and some meat bagged up for the freezer. Oh, and there's cheese and ham, too. I may just start sleeping on the floor. And if you go in and say what you're making, they'll give you the right cut of meat and the right size, and then tell you how long to cook it. I think one of these days, they'll just follow me home and cook it up for me. The downside? It's expensive. But you're paying for quality and expertise, which you just don't get at a supermarket. They're open seven days a week, too.

I went in last night and there was one person already being served - the butcher had tenderised a piece of beef to order and was in the process of cutting it into strips for her. But that didn't mean I had to wait, as he called his colleague out from the back who was happy to assist. I was very pleased with both the service and the quality of the steaks I purchased. I'm a semi-regular here, although I tend to shop here more in the summer when buying for barbecues etc as they have a good range. They also make their own sausages - the pinner porker is great, and they even make pies, pasties and scotch eggs.

GHETTO!! I was warned that Wembley Sunday Market was for the... well, erm... let me explain it this…read moreway. Pretty teenage girls dragging around not one, but two, sometimes three kids, more hoods than you can shake a knife at and just an overriding urge to watch my back. Would I go as far as calling it Dodgevlle? Maybe not, but Wembley Market deserves its status as another 'take your life into your own hands' areas of London. Maybe I am being over judgemental, but I want to get the message across that this behemoth of cheap goods is aimed at a certain demographic of Londoners. Now for the word 'cheap.' This market certainly is. I have only seen jumble sales cheaper. There are a mass of stalls selling low-cost tracksuits, jeans, trainers, and other trinkety type paraphernalia. Hip Hop and RnB CD's are being sold at 5m intervals throughout the entire market, and these guys are only superseded by the choice of halal food stalls decorating every strip and corner. I devoured a £3 large kebab roll, full of meat, spice and sauce. It was great. I ate at the same table as a man who was singing and chatting to himself, whilst spurting out the occasional obscenity, and ruffling his dishevelled attire. I liked him.

It is very hood indeed, but it is a market--and what goes better with fake burberry, samosa's, and incence than chav's, asians, and rasta's? I have to admit I would never buy anything from most of the vendors here--although I was tempted to naturally drift towards the shouting 2 for 5pound table :) They do have some finds all the way in the back--it is like a truck pulled up and basically auctioned of mostly electronics and household items for dirt cheap! --portable dvd players 20pounds, brand new lamps, irons, kettles, tea makers, ets---all 5pounds and at the end of the day 2 for 5pounds!! They had massage chairs for 25pnds--thats just crazy! Other vendors have tracks suits 2 for 35pnds, pillows 4 for 5pnds, this place has a plethora of random odd bits. Anyways, it is defintley visit at you own risk--cash only, visit during daylight hours kind of place!

A very nice farmer's market, Sundays only. It's well worth a visit if getting to Queens Park…read morestations isn't too much of a hike. There were at least 40 vendors including: - 3 or 4 booths selling cheeses - 4 or so purveyors of meats - 2 or 3 seafood sellers - many selling veggies, cakes, pastries, ciders, eggs and other raw materials. And if you just want to show up and eat, there were 5-6 vendors selling sausage rolls, burgers, chicken, pulled pork/beef sandwiches, plus French stews. While there are much bigger/well known weekend markets in London, I think this is the best example of a local one that is mostly focused on farmers, fisherman, bakers and butchers - but that also has a lot of stalls where you can eat something really nice. Nobody is selling overpriced jars of stuff or catering to massive crowds. This is a market where you can discuss how the cheese is made with the person who made it.

This one was just as good. I think california has different regulations or something because there were lots more meat and seafood stalls. There were at least two or three duplicates of each type of stall. I suggest doing a once around to compare prices and see what's all there that day. So excited to come back and figure out what to make that evening for Sunday roast with my market finds!
