There aren't enough positive words in my lexicon to praise Terence and his work highly enough. I hired him to cook for an 11-person dinner party in our home as a birthday surprise for my partner, and he nailed it on every level. He was super easy to communicate with from the very beginning, worked to create a unique menu that took several food restrictions and allergies into consideration, and just made the entire process leading up to the party a breeze. On the day of, he arrived right on time and jumped straight into preparing our meal, which was nothing short of stunning. He clearly sources his ingredients with great care and it's obvious that he brings so much intention to his dishes; every single bite was packed with fresh flavor. His food is the kind that makes you slow down and take smaller bites so you can savor it as much as possible. He plated his dishes beautifully and carefully and gave us a nice description of each before serving, so that we could fully appreciate the food before us. I'm fortunate that I got to chat with him as he set up, too, as I got an even greater insight into his efforts; not only was he so pleasant to talk with, I was amazed to learn that he'd spent hours just hand-rolling the squid ink pasta that was our main course! At the end of the night, our guests (and most importantly, my foodie partner) were stuffed and raving about the wonderful tastes they'd experienced, and Terence even left our kitchen cleaner than when he'd started! I could go on and on, but really, if you're considering hosting an event and the quality of food and service is key, it'd be an impossible task to find someone better suited for it than Terence. read more

It was an absolute please to work with Holly from TBD Events for our wedding. She made things feel so easy & relaxed! I am not one to be in the know on all of the wedding traditions and expectations, and came into my first meeting with Holly having zero idea that I needed to have a timeline, having not considered coordinating vendor arrivals or pick up of decor and leftovers at the end of the event! She worked with me to come up with a timeline (and provided recommendations on ordering of things like first dance, dinner, cake cutting, speeches, etc.), reached out to all of my vendors to ensure they were set to show up on time and have everything they need, and was always available. She came to my walk through and took detailed notes, answered questions I'd forgotten the answers to, and really made me feel like this whole wedding thing was a breeze.  Day of, she was communicative, showed up early, helped carry things, set up decor, and even helped with getting my dress on. She had safety pins of all sizes and any other miscellaneous thing I may need. I was especially appreciative of her reminding me to drink water! Mid-event, Holly coordinated with the caterers to get me a small plate of desserts just for me to ensure that my husband and I had a chance to taste every treat. My husband and I used Terence with TBD Foods for our wedding reception. Terence was incredibly helpful and creative in planning a menu that was unique to us and our guests. The process was easy, smooth, and he was very receptive to our wants/needs/preferences. On the day of our reception, his team was timely and professional. They were attentive and served a delicious series of courses, each one more delicious than the last. Although everything was amazing and I'd highly recommend every dish we received, I was surprised and delighted to find that my favorite bite of the meal was the asparagus salad. Wow! It was so fresh and delicious, I'll be wishing I could order it again for a long time. The elk tenderloin was also incredibly tender and rich, I'd that even our guests that don't usually enjoy game meat found it to be their favorite protein! The TBD Foods team also left our home in wonderful shape and I felt comfortable to have them in our home, it was as if no one had even been in our kitchen. I wanted to do something special for my sister and her bridal party a few days before her wedding, as most of the girls were traveling to Denver from out-of-state. I came across TBD Foods and their excellent reviews, and it seemed like the perfect thing to do! Holly was so responsive and wonderful in helping me coordinate the menu and wine pairings, and made a few recommendations for where I could rent supplies (table, chairs, glassware, etc. - I ended up going through Colorado Party Rentals). The day of the event, Terence and his team arrived early to set up and then got to work making the most delicious and well-paced meal! I was a little nervous because my sister's kitchen isn't that big but I didn't have to worry about a thing. We truly had a restaurant experience in the comfort of my sister's home. My girlfriend hired TBD Foods (Terence was our chef) for my birthday last February. It was my first time experiencing something like this, as it was hers, and all we could say after that evening was: "can Terence cook for us every night?" When I was looking for a personal chef to come into my home to make a birthday dinner for myself and friends I did what most people do and looked on the internet for options. I found TBD Foods and I saw that all of their ratings were 5 stars. I am always a bit hesitant when I see all 5-star reviews because no one is perfect. In this case, I couldn't have been more wrong. Terrence responded to my inquiry very quickly and walked me through the process. The menu has a wide selection of items and offers something for everyone. I am gluten-free but he easily made adjustments as needed. The meal was incredible, my guests and I were very impressed. The evening was a great success and I could not have been happier. We had TBD Events cater our wedding for over 100 people at the Washington Park boathouse last weekend. They did an amazing job! Everyone raved about the food, it was delicious! Terence accommodated vegans, vegetarians and celiac dietary restrictions without missing a beat. The wait staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. TBD handled the all of the details of ordering the rental items (tables, chairs, etc.) and simple decorating for us, which made the day much less stressful knowing these arrangements were handled ahead of time. My son gave us a gift certificate for TBD a year an a half ago, due to COVID were unable to use it. Holly was very gracious and honored the gift last week! We had a wonderful dinner and experience and lots of fun. The food was amazing from appetizers to dessert, the menu choice was incredible. Terrance and Josh were wonderful, they were so accommodating, we all enjoyed our interaction with them, they even joined in for a group pictures, we would invite them back into our home anytime. I hosted a small birthday event and was fortunate to have Terence as the chef. From soup to nuts, the whole experience was a positive one. Terence was prompt and clear in his messages, and designed a menu with a wide range of food allowing for each guest to find things that they loved. He was upfront and honest about pricing which I greatly appreciated. The day of the event Terence showed up exactly when he said and the whole event was completely smooth. The concept of a Pop-up dinner was intriguing to me having never heard of anything like it before and so I was excited and expectant when I ended up at TBD for my first dinner pop-up. What I found was an atmosphere reminiscent of dinner at granma's (just so you know, granma's dinners were legendary). The food....... Okay how to put it so t I don't totally understate the excellence of the entire experience. The food was something that I normally see on shows like master chef and iron chef. We used TBD Foods for a small fundraiser for our non-profit organization. Terrence and team went above and beyond all expectations! The food was incredible, the staff was so kind and flexible with our casual timeline and schedule, and every single guest walked away feeling full. We hired Terrance to come into our home for an interactive cooking class for a bachelorette party. He was amazing! We did an Italian theme, rolled out our own dough and used hand cranks to make the noodles. It was so nice to be able to enjoy such an event in our own space. He had various appetizers for us to snack on while we played games and had some cocktails. Terrance also brought aprons for everyone, and a 6ft table and chairs so we could all eat at the table together (we were in a small apartment). I would highly recommend him! read more

We won a gift certificate for TBD Foods at a silent auction, and used it to celebrate our 32nd anniversary. Both the food, and the experience were outstanding. Terence was on time, answered our questions about the best way to cook scallops, and even offered to give me the recipes. The beet and goat cheese salad was probably the best I have ever tasted, and the scallops with risotto was outstanding. We loved working with TBD Foods for a 50th Anniversary dinner in our Greenwood Village home. Terence was very responsive and selecting a menu was easy and all of our food requests were met with a "yes, we can do that!" TBD Foods catered my husbands 50th birthday party this weekend. Everyone was raving about the food. It all tasted so good and was so easy to eat. The Lamb Meatballs were one of the favorites.
