The man who waited on me, signed me right up. The other guy talked to us about the problems Magnums start having at 18500.00 miles and more. He told us about a few Diagnostic/repair places we could go to check the engine code that keeps lighting up. Both employees were impressive, more so than my usual store AZ. Finally found Battery Distributors Southeast in Jacksonville and spoke with Shelia Kennedy and she said they them in stock but would check the Lakeland store for us. None were in stock there and Shelia quoted us a reasonable price and purchased them by phone. Shelia held them for us and a couple days later I drove up to Jacksonville to pick them up. Shelia was very helpful and professional. The guys unloaded my old batteries and load my new ones. All in about 15 minutes and I was on my way!! I did bring my camera with me. They sold me the correct battery and a "universal" charger (only one they had). I made sure it fit in my camera. I asked them to try to charge it before I left because I got the impression that it had been on the shelf for some time. They couldn't get it to charge, and said their port wasn't really reliable, but assured me that I could return it to my local store (in Jacksonville) if it didn't work when I got back to the hotel. When I got to the hotel and plugged it in, I saw no indication that it was charging. When I tried again the prongs that slide to accommodate the battery broke. I had been very gentle, as it looked flimsy right out of the package. I tried rubber banding the battery into the charger and still no charge. I'm out $99. When I got home and tried to return it I found that most locations were closed in my area. I found the closest one on Beach Blvd and they took the charger back but wouldn't take the battery and only offered store credit. It makes no sense to drive back to the store where I got it while on vacation as it's 5 hrs away. Not impressed to say the least!
