I have a new build so when it was finally time to hire an inspector I decided to go with MC2. So glad I did. They were reasonable and the inspection took about 3 hours. It was a smooth process and Greg, my inspector, was awesome. He was VERY picky (which I love) and he pointed out things that I wouldn't have seen. Please do NOT purchase a home without getting your own inspection done (IMO). Greg was very professional, he came in with footies and he had the report done later that night filled the pictures, notes and suggestions. I almost consider him more of a consultant than an inspector! He knew SO much about everything in the home and gave me recommendations about everything I was unsure of. Even with a lack of communication, it should be understood that this home is MINE, and does not belong to your inspectors. They are not entitled to come in my home any time just because they were hired by buyers. I did not appreciate that he had no respect for PRIVATE PROPERTY. The inspector allowed the buyers to bring a group of family members in four separate cars into my home. They treated my house like a public facility--using my personal toiletries, towels, and bathrooms without permission. I did not appreciate that no one was told to STAY IN THEIR CAR. How many onlookers does your staff need in an inspection??? I did not appreciate the said unwanted family members scraping their boots on the sidewalk before entering MY CLEAN HOME as if the home was already theirs and they could come and go as they pleased. They were obviously not helping the inspector with anything, they were just at my home to relax and invade my privacy. Most alarmingly, I discovered at 7:00 PM that my refrigerator/freezer had been shut off at the breaker. This level of carelessness could have resulted in significant property damage / food loss. When I was finally able to read the end result inspection list to my home buyers, it was noted that 2 breakers in the kitchen were not working, The inspector, Mark, shut the BREAKER OFF TO THE WHOLE KITCHEN, then requested that a licensed electrician come and fix them. I AM AN ELECTRICIAN. Wow ! Is this how you drive away home buyers ??? With stupidity? I am a licensed IBEW electrician. Would I honestly live here 11 yrs with broken outlets ??? And I really did not appreciate the inspector, Mark Ballge, allowing his clients, the buyers, and added family members, who did NOT OWN MY HOME, to come in and make themselves comfortable, forcing and wasting another extra hour of time into MY heavy schedule. They were not invited by ME into MY HOME and I should have been warned about this set up thru my realtor. Once again, they should have BEEN TOLD TO LEAVE. You have hired DISRESPECTFUL AND INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES; disrespectful to HOME OWNERS, incompetent to home buyers, and I would never use your service or recommend it.

He leaves all the decision making in your hands The inspection is incredibly thorough and there was no doubt about the timeline of his inspection. He does ask that you provide him with time at the beginning of the inspection and then arrive later for a thorough walkthrough. He then takes the time to answer any specific questions that you may have about the house, his findings, or any part of the inspection process. Overall his inspection and walkthrough contain just the facts and the reasons behind his findings. After the inspection he provides you with a complete report in full color presented in and easy to read format all in a 3-ring binder. Additionally, he provides a small booklet on home maintenance that would be fantastic for the first time gone buyer or the seasoned purchaser as it contains places for write down important pieces of information about the house, your appliances, filters, etc...
