I understand that it's a pain getting everything in line with what insurance will cover in a situation like this but that is no way to treat a customer or a person in general. I'll admit, the first time I came in to look at new countertops, I had to scout out an employee myself because they were all sitting in the back and no one came to see if I needed anything. Not a huge deal because it doesn't take much effort to go find someone but just thought I'd point it out because it was a common theme in other reviews. That part is true-the employees could take more initiative to seek out new customers just so they know they are noticed. But the designer I worked with, Brandi was excellent. We were able to knock out every detail of my countertops and I felt really good about the process. I came back in one time to finalize the deal and ended up buying one of their pieces in the back. It was discounted and still in great condition so I thought why not. Anyway, I had come with my mom and grandma and I'm not a very big person myself, but we were just planning on c setting it out. One of the guys who worked there offered to carry it for us and get it in the truck, which was super helpful and kind. The day that they came to install the countertop, they were on time, polite, and did an excellent job installing everything as well as answering my questions. I'm 24 and a first time homeowner so a lot of this stuff is over my head but they were patient and answered all my questions thoroughly. Not only that, but they went above and beyond in making sure the countertop was perfect, even rehanging cabinets that were crooked per the previous owner. I didn't like the old countertop because it was ugly and poorly done but seeing some real professionals install this new countertop was super encouraging. They also installed the new cabinet I had bought on discount in the back and extended the countertop. I was SUPER impressed with the final result and I'm so glad I used Copper River! Great with insurance, but terrible communication, broken property, and cut corners…read more ​We hired this company because they promised high-quality work and handled our insurance claim seamlessly--which is the only reason this isn't a zero-star review. However, once the contract was signed, the experience devolved into terrible communication, property damage, and cut corners. ​Communication & Scheduling Chaos: ​They dropped off a materials truck and sent a single email (with no confirmation from us) stating they'd start "on or around 7/8". Without any solid start date, time, or confirmation, the crew showed up at 6:00 AM the very next morning and began loud construction without attempting to knock on our door or notify us. ​After the job was "done," they left their large trailer parked in our driveway for over a day, blocking us out and taking up our space, once again with zero notice or communication about when it would be retrieved. ​Damage & Mess Left Behind: ​During installation, the crew broke one of our light fixtures and a window well cover. ​They did a poor cleanup job, leaving multiple roofing nails in our driveway (a major hazard for our tires), along with shingle scraps and a discarded work glove. ​Unfulfilled Sales Promises & Poor Workmanship: Our salesman made several promises that the construction crew completely ignored, pointing to a massive disconnect between sales and production: ​The Chimney: We explicitly needed metal flashing installed on our chimney (an issue that had previously prevented us from insuring the house). The salesman promised this would be done. Instead, the crew just slapped caulk over it. ​Structural Issues: We were promised they would fix the sagging corners of our roof. Post-construction, the corners of the roof have the same visible unevenness. ​Poor Quality: The finished roof is visibly wavy and has a large divot right next to the caulked chimney that is guaranteed to pond and hold water. ​Missing Discounts & Photo Proof: The salesman promised a referral discount that was never applied. He also raved about how they document everything with photos. I have repeatedly asked to see these photos and requested a count of how many decking boards were actually replaced. ​The Current Silence: I have reached out multiple times to address these issues. One representative told me to "wait a week" to see if the issues resolved themselves (spoiler: a wavy roof and broken light fixtures do not heal themselves) and to call back if they didn't. I did exactly that, and now the company has gone completely silent. ​If you want a company that communicates with your insurance, they can do that. But if you want quality work, respect for your property, and a company that honors its promises, look elsewhere. I will gladly update this review if management contacts me and resolves these outstanding issues.
