I decided to go with Xfinity (which was much cheaper and included internet) and called Dish to cancel And all of a sudden they could cut my bill in half and they quoted me $62 a month to keep it.... First of all every time there was a snow storm. I had to attach the handles of brooms onto other poles so I could knock the snow off the Dish outside my home up on he roof in the middle of a snowstorm. Also, when it rains heavily, you know you're going to lose your connection so if you're recording something it doesn't record and it's horrible. I am so happy I went with Xfinity. They also have hoppers so I didn't know that it doesn't have to be hardwired in each TV when I called Dish and told them I was Disconnecting the service I was told I had to actually climb on a ladder and get the nodes off the actual dish to return it or else I would be charged for not returning the equipment . I asked them don't they come and take the dish off the house and collect whatever they need to and they said no they don't but they never tell you that when you sign up for Dish they do not disclose that! It is a big scam. Do not use this service and when I look around my neighborhood now and I do see Dish satellites attached on peoples houses.
