The staff was friendly and always moving to keep the place running smoothly. Unlike most "antique"…read moreshops, most of the items here are NOT overpriced by their sellers (some are, but most are not). The building was formerly a medical facility so the "booths" are exam rooms that are well-lit and well organized. There are a range of sellers, from typical nostalgic toys and games to the usual novelty glassware, Pyrex, trading cards, clothing, books, VHS tapes and DVDs, records and CD's, some framed prints (we purchased one) and mirrors - even live plants. You can also find a range of old cameras that make nice decorations and other shelf-fillers and conversation pieces. Maybe you need a flip-top hinged wood box to sit on your table that you open up to reveal a clock when you want to know the time of day, instead of looking at your watch or phone. Maybe you're old school like that. This place has your back. The store has 3 levels, and all are clean, spacious, and well organized. There are a couple of niche "tricks" and novelties but I won't spoil the surprises - go see for yourself. Also there were a few pinball games and arcade games (bring your quarters) to keep little ones entertained, if they aren't constantly asking you what a cassette is or what you do with that GI Joe action figure. The layout and presentation by the vendors is imaginative with plenty of clever lights and scents. On a humid summer day the plethora of window AC units supplementing the main HVAC worked wonderfully. The owner has gone out of their way to decorate the common areas in clever and entertaining ways. As a nice plus, because this was a medical facility there were actually spacious and well-running bathrooms, not the mop closet smelling like mold, RAID insect spray, mustard gas, and livestock that most antique stores throw a toilet in (which generally has about a 25% success rate of actually flushing). The entire place is wheelchair accessible and has a functioning elevator, although fitting a wheelchair in every aisle of every booth is not possible. However, I bet the very kind staff there or a fellow peruser would be happy to help you. They even have a never-used porta-potty dressing room to try on clothing (don't be a snob, you're the one trying on used clothes). In all, I bought a couple of items and will come back to see how the stock has rotated. Pro Tip: go to the checkout area first near the ground floor entrance; they sell canned booze like Truly and several varieties of beer as well as water and novelty flavored sodas and root beers. There are also packaged snacks and candy. Do this first so you can enjoy your sundries as you stroll this expansive joint. We were in there for almost 3 hours and didn't get bored. My only regret was not knowing I could have enjoyed some adult beverages while doing so.

My friend and I checked out the new location of True North, down the street from the original (the…read moreold one is still there; this has just expanded the venture!) I actually like the layout here better; I believe this location was formerly a nursing home, and all the vendor booths are in the separate rooms off the main hall, plus an independent bookstore near the entrance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There's an area near the registers where you can create a "pile" as you shop so you don't have to carry everything around. I found a beautiful glass jar, a stoneware vase, a game from the bookstore, and a gift for a friend! But you can find almost anything: clothing, jewelry, dishes, glassware, cookware, records, home decor, nostalgic and creepy art (such as monster movies and repainted dolls), stickers, books, toys and more. Definitely worth checking out in Morris!
